I love how they actually integrated his character in the other movies while not contradicting anything. Where was he in Predator 2? On his way. He just arrived right after the Predator ship left. Where was he during the 2018 movie? With his squad in other parts of the world, hunting down other Yautja's. And on top of that, they used Predator tech to turn him into a fucking super soldier. Disney-Fox, please, PLEASE give us another Dutch movie while Arnie's still kicking, just him with his squad hunting Yautja's until he eventually meets his match. It's pure money!
Yes, absolutely. He was the absolute best thing about Terminator: Dark Fate, which is fucking wild, considering he doesn't show up until two-thirds into the movie.

Hopefully, Arnold Schwarzenegger will make another comeback in a predator movie . But this time, he still fights predators/ yautjas. Also, Prey 2, they will pick up where it pick up where it left off with naru and her tribe to fight off against the predators.

How awesome to have Arnold back as Dutch all this time later. Now let's get Danny Glover back as Mike Harrigan from Predator 2 for something like this. Even better, do a a new original story for this game with both Dutch and Harrigan as the protagonists. A team-up with these two tracking the Predators is what we should've gotten as the storyline and basis for the third film.
I like how the first female predator that dutch ever encountered was so efficient and ruthless it scared the shit out of him yet didn't bother killing him at the end. she murdered his entire team and put him in a razor net to make a statement.
The ambient sound design of each location, the creaking of his chair as he leans in, the sound of him lighting up…that’s what elevates these tapes from cool to spectacular.
Or like in the first recording, you can here his heart monitor speed up when he starts talking about the team members he lost when he fought the first predator. Great stuff.
Dutch's backstory here is better than what we got in the movies. This would make a great TV series, like on Netflix or some other network. Telling it all in one film wouldn't do it justice. Then they could make a feature length film at the end to conclude it or as a cliffhanger. They could also make some games based on these stories, and they do have a resemblance to Metal Gear and Snake. Only with an alien subplot. The Predator one at that.
The lore about him getting infused with Predator blood towards the end, is the same with the main bad guy from Predator: Concrete Jungle. He was collecting Predator DNA so he could become a Human/Predator hybrid.
@Trantor The Troll I didn't really like Concrete Jungle...even a solo Predator game couldn't resist tying it to the Alien Franchise with everything from MOTHER narrating the game, to the mentions of the Waylan-Utani corporation, to the Xenomorphs themselves appearing in the final boss. I agree, Hunting Grounds is much much better, focusing the goal of the game on the plot of the original movie- stop a guerilla insurgency, and get to da choppa to get outta there.

When he was talking about killing another predator with RPG that hit ammunition bunker it was scout Predator they have light armor and sometimes they don't wear any of them to be really fast that you can't even see them running, Scout Predators are very stealthy but if u hit them they are done, Dutch knew about predator hunting skills but when he said he was running so fast we couldn't see him he knew it was different predator he was dealing with.
Absolute legend! there will always be very good actors around. But when Arnie and Sly leaves us there will never be movie stars with that kind of pop-cultural impact through movies again. I´m blessed to have been able to watch Arnie´s movie career from the start. What a ride.

The quality of the audio tapes, I mean the background sound effects to match the environment, Dutch smoking a cigar, and even the cover of the cassettes, USBs and other recorded devices to match timelines is so next level. Fuck! I'd just buy the game to listen to the tapes.

I gave the 2018 predator movie 1 star from how horrible and badly made it was. If a predator movie was to be made with arnold as the lead and these tapes as the story then i would have probably given it 10/10 stars.

In the tapes he got to LA might late so he missed his opportunity to take it on in LA. On top of that he got captured by the OWLF... Jim Hopper & his men were not aboard the chopper when it was shot down. They were sent in after the 'cabinet minister' and disappeared. The skinned bodies found by Dutch & his team, were the remains of the first rescue team.
I like it and we get to hear Dutch's story of hunting the Predators ever since 1987. Hope we get audio logs from Mike Harrigan from Predator 2 and other survivors of the other Predator movies. Hopefully they will have some way for Dutch to learn about a Native American woman encountered a predator in 1715 ( reference to Prey). Hope they make Audio logs of Dutch meeting survivors of other Predator movies.
Two facts that are being ignored: 1 - Anna (the other survivor) is not mentioned. 2 - The whole "mission" originally happened in Guatemala, Central America. Does anyone know why they changed the story?
Predator technically takes place in the fictional country of Val Verde. It's also mentioned in Commando and Die Hard 2. So Predator technically is in canon with those movies.

Wasn't Dutch and his OWLF spec-ops troops supposed to be in the finale of the predator movie? Not have it end with the cringe that was the final act. The cherry on top being the whole crackpot theory and plot twist used. Not to mention the mech suit that was completely out of place in the franchise.
Hard to say - all we really know is that the plan according to one of the early scripts was that he would be involved in the final scene -- he'd show up right after Quinn et al. destroy the Super-Predator and tell them there was a bigger fight he needed to get them involved in. Given how dumb the early script sounded and how flimsy the part sounded, it doesn't surprise me that Arnie opted not to go for it. All of the ideas they had for the film were dumb, including the options for what was in the storage pod in the final scene -- either Ellen Ripley or Newt Jorden (via time-travel?) or Dutch himself, allegedly (though I don't think the latter ever got beyond a few pie-in-the-sky ideas).
If they have the 2018 the Predator events in here, doesnt that mean the events in both AVP movies have taken place? Itd be cool if they bring mention to that.

I gave the 2018 predator movie 1 star from how horrible and badly made it was. If a predator movie was to be made with arnold as the lead and these tapes as the story then i would have probably given it 10/10 stars.
I love the idea that dutch went up against his first female predator and lost, which I am more amazed she let him live like he said females are much more dangerous than the male predators not just in size, but also in how freaking strong these girls. Kind of like a wasp colony they don't fuck around when they got their prey.
When a prey kills a predator they are labeled as untouchable. It's a respect thing. If she knew who he was that's why.

I had no idea that Dutch was working with Keyes during the events of the 1997 Colombian Jamaican Drug War. That was insane, but it's good to know that he was hiding in the shadows, waiting for an opportunity to help Keyes' men and help eradicate the Predator threat once and for all.
Arnold was supposed to be that character, turned down predator 2 for Terminator 2.
In the tapes he got to LA might late so he missed his opportunity to take it on in LA. On top of that he got captured by the OWLF... I love these tapes and it makes sense with the Dark horse comics and they wonder where he went. It good that theses tapes cannon with the Dark horse comics and the movies

@@qmurray They aren't canon to the DH comics. In the comics Broken Tusk states that females are not allowed to hunt and are BIGGER than the males not smaller.

Jim Hopper & his men were not aboard the chopper when it was shot down. They were sent in after the 'cabinet minister' and disappeared. The skinned bodies found by Dutch & his team, were the remains of the first rescue team.
I like it and we get to hear Dutch's story of hunting the Predators ever since 1987. Hope we get audio logs from Mike Harrigan from Predator 2 and other survivors of the other Predator movies. Hopefully they will have some way for Dutch to learn about a Native American woman encountered a predator in 1715 ( reference to Prey). Hope they make Audio logs of Dutch meeting survivors of other Predator movies.
Can listen to these tapes all night like a bedtime story, Arnold has such a nice voice!
Two facts that are being ignored:
1 - Anna (the other survivor) is not mentioned.
2 - The whole "mission" originally happened in Guatemala, Central America.

Predator technically takes place in the fictional country of Val Verde. It's also mentioned in Commando and Die Hard 2. So Predator technically is in canon with those movies.

Wasn't Dutch and his OWLF spec-ops troops supposed to be in the finale of the predator movie?
Not have it end with the cringe that was the final act. The cherry on top being the whole crackpot theory and plot twist used. Not to mention the mech suit that was completely out of place in the franchise.
Hard to say - all we really know is that the plan according to one of the early scripts was that he would be involved in the final scene -- he'd show up right after Quinn et al. destroy the Super-Predator and tell them there was a bigger fight he needed to get them involved in. Given how dumb the early script sounded and how flimsy the part sounded, it doesn't surprise me that Arnie opted not to go for it.
All of the ideas they had for the film were dumb, including the options for what was in the storage pod in the final scene -- either Ellen Ripley or Newt Jorden (via time-travel?) or Dutch himself, allegedly (though I don't think the latter ever got beyond a few pie-in-the-sky ideas).
If they have the 2018 the Predator events in here, doesnt that mean the events in both AVP movies have taken place? Itd be cool if they bring mention to that.

The previous predator Movie was set in 2019. So maybe the next is 2025
I wonder if we are gonna see the OWLF in that movie and Hutch a.k.a Arnold. I mean we did the girl that was taken from that task force when that I think 2015 movie where they are on the Predators hunter home world hunting ground. Which is strange as the one in 2019 they knew the existence of the predator maybe that was Stargate as they caught the predator, but it escaped and etc.
