Great channel but you seriously need to add a lot of cover in there because even though they can live together they need to have their own territories
Maybe you can add some driftwood? They love driftwood! :)
It's also great for decorating your fish homes.

I would recommend "betta balls" or moss balls as you can open them and use string to tie them to drift wood it will attach and the string will dissolve making it stay qnd giving a really nice moss look I feel would be a great center peice for the tank
Also make it classic sorority names like Kendall, Vanessa, Tiffany, and Megan

Usually acclimatizing betta I'd just float their container in the tank for 15-20 min. Less stress I've noticed

Jferfan 52 males will fight females do good together. Just have lots of plants so they have there space to call their own.
I just got a betta sorority and they done well all but two small spats. Just make sure it don't get too bad.

Not nearly enough plants in that tank for a Betta sorority guys! Do your homework, your viewers will think this is an ok way to do a Betta sorority tank and it is not.

Betta genetics is a huge priority you should find a male and female that are the closest visually like a white pair or a koi pair. Believe it or not for bettas to breed true they recommend spawning siblings. Remember its only recommended for Bettas not humans lol

That females probably 1-2 months old. Wait for them to be old enough for breed. 5-6 months is the perfect age, below that the fry mortality rate is high. The fry will look healthy in day one and the next day they will fall with no trace even if you took out the adults
Most female/male bettas from petstores are at least 6+ months or more. It's not often you come across 1-2 months unless they are labeled as baby bettas. They are at least 3 months of age(Mature to breed) 1 to 2 month olds don't extinguish their full colors yet(Depending if they were powergrown or not) So these lovely girls are definitely at least 3 months old^^
If one of them starts flaring and is chasing the others (because it'll start trouble) just remove and separate her for a while and return her back. Observe them. Fins might be nipped.

When you grab them out of the cup you are skipping the acclimating step.. What you did was introduce them. To acclimate you need to put the cup in the water to get the water temp to match then you also need to add a small amount of the new water little by little so you don't shock their system with the new water
Lexii Bray You can acclimate them different ways. You can drip acclimate them. You slowly drop one drop of the tank water in cup every few minutes. It doesn’t shock their system i have done this before. (no hate lol don’t attack me)
So now you need to set up a tank #3 withheaterannd filter and plants for the male to get with the girl and spawn after eggs are laid take the girl back to the sororty tank and let the male take care of the eggs when the eggs hatch he has to go back to his tank so you can grow out Te fry in the 3 ed tank they can stay there about 10 days before they have to get separated from each other so after they hatch you have to start looking for jars or something to separate the fry into
Float your betta’s. Put the containers that their in and place them in the tank and let them float for about 30mins, it adjusts the water to the water in the tank!

When breeding betta fish be sure to remove her once she does not lay anymore eggs. she will appear in a zombie state when the male squeezes her THIS IS NORMAL!!!! also be sure to keep the male in until baby fry are free swimming after that remove him. two sponge filters in a 20-30 gallon is highly reccomended for the fry tank. they need to be fed 3 times a day and daily water changes but not to much or you will shock the fish. no filtration whatsoever except for sponge otherwise the water will be too much for them to swim and will most likely drown. need tons of research before breeding them

@@Gobzie you can have as many as you want as long as the tank is big enough and they get along. Always have a backup tank ready in case of any aggression.

I wonder if a dwarf gourami would be able to go in there I've thought about it but have no idea if they are compatible
If you want to breed bettas I suggest doing this first:
1) Get a spare 10-20 gallon tank for the fry
2) Always use a sponge filter for fry (to avoid them getting sucked up)
3) Prepare live food for your betta fry (never feed them flake food first, always feed live food, but you could soon introduce flakes/pellet food once they’re about 6 months (I think)
4) Provide many hiding places for the fry.

Not unless they want 100 plus fry really quickly... best to stay with male guppies who are happy enough together if you have enough of them..
Well since they will be with the bettas the fry will get eaten before there will be too many in the fish tank both bettas and guppies will eat the fry
I've seen some people acclimate the fish by just putting the whole container in the tank, they float and will probably adjust to the temperature better ☺️ (not that I'm in any way a professional haha) I love all of your bettas, I subscribed!

One reason I love Petco is the dollar a gallon sale. I got a 10 gallon for my goldfish Bob last week and he loves it. Tho the sorority is making me miss having bettas bad! I may build up the guts to start one soon once I see how it goes for you guys :) good luck!

@@jessicawhirlow13 Well I did research when I got him and the lowest you can go is actually 20. Bob was given to me on my birthday unexpectedly back in december and all I had at the time was a 5 gallon so I had to make dew with that till I was able to upgrade. I know the tank size for him and am trying my best right now till I can get him a bigger size. I dont have that much space "working on that" at the moment. Since you know about goldfish and thats the topic, what temperature water do you recomend I keep his tank at? Its in the 60s now. And do you recomend an air filter or bubbler because Ive been looking in to that but might as well if see if its worked for your goldfish. Thanks :)
@@jojorichardson3063 try to do between like 60°f and 72°f and they should be in nothing less than 32 gallons.... I'm just saying. Try not to put any substrate in there because goldfish are dirty. Watch the ammonia levels because they can spike really high. I dont know a lot about goldfish but I'm learning more and more every day. I personally dont own one but my mother does and I try to give her tips on it whenever I can. Another thing is try to do water changes like ones a week to keep ammonia down but only about 25% of the water. NEVER EMPTY ALL THE WATER! Try looking up different TH-cam people that keep goldfish there is this lady that does, however I dont remember her name right now.

I have a quick question. One of my female betta is swimming near the bottom of my tank. She seems tired and is swimming rather slowly. She does have a red streak on her and some patches. And she only swims to the top of the tank to gulp air

Idk if it’s a fact but I think Molly’s can live in salt water, you guys should get Molly’s for your salt water tank if it’s possible
They can, but if they were previously kept in fresh water you will have to gradually up the salinity until they are fully in saltwater.

How do you pick out females at petco do you just pick ones you like? I had. Great sorority but one died and i had to separate them all because one was picking on the other.
