    I don't normally comment negatively on someone else's work. but please don't attempt this.there is a reason you don't but a saw blade on an angle grinder. if you look at the finished job the blade is backwards this will lead to fatal kickback. also no riving knife to stop the blade catching in the wood kicking back at you. also the speeds on an angle grinder are way to fast for a saw blade. but what do I know only working in the industry 30 years.

    The most insanely irresponsible clickbait! This is an extremely dangerous tool! Do not be tempted to create what is essentially a janky DIY circular saw without a protective guard. Nobody needs to cut wood that bad! amongst many other reasons why not to try this, if this thing comes back at you, not only will you totally lose your grip on the tool due to the awkward way you have to hold it but there is no sprung blade guard to stop the blade from ripping you up into shreds. It's terrifying to read all these comments from people seemingly eager to try this themselves. There is a reason why those safety features were invented. Total Madness.

  • @guvnermcgovern

    It’s known in the aluminium fabrication industry as a meat axe due to the horrific injuries inflicted on the hapless users, the air driven ones are safer as the blade stops more easily when it jams and Metabo makes angle grinders with a safety brake/clutch that stops the blade if it jams. BE WARNED DO NOT USE A SAW BLADE IN AN ANGLE GRINDER UNLESS IT HAS THE SAFETY FEATURES MENTIONED.

      Because the typical circular saw spins at about 4,000 RPM and a Grinder spins anywhere from 10-12 RPM. It’s incredibly dangerous, easily kicks back and could end your life in seconds. The blade doesn’t stop spinning when you release the trigger either.

    Excellent!!!! There are tonnes of youtube vids on converting the angle grinder to be used as a saw. As long as common sense precautions like starting with low speed, goggles, gloves are used, these ideas are all safe to use. Do you know how dufficult it is to make such an adapter for grinders with handles that are not 90degree to the body? I have searched do hard hundreds of videos, they either use ugly pipe clamps, or they use the inbuilt handle hole in the grinder it is ok only if the hole is set at right angles to the grinder. Nowadays many brands have handlebars which are offset, it is very difficult to createn a saw guide. This video is the only one that creates a robust, beautiful saw guide for grinders with offset handlebars. Excellent, well done!! Regards.

    Was the spindle speed of the grinder compatible with the Max speed of the blade??

      Grinder spins too fast

      Absolutely NOT, it's why he lowered the speed. He understood the physics of what he was doing.

      @@TechieTard If he was really smart then he would have saved himself the effort and risks and just bought a circular saw for 80$.

    Or you can use a circular saw?

  • @user-rb4tz6hs6p
    @user-rb4tz6hs6p 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    It will be best ever if you just make only one hole for the big screw of the angle grinder in the body of the metal without this upper cover screws ..

    That looks like a horrible idea. If you need a circular saw, get a circular saw. That thing has no blade guard - for starters. Don't you know how dangerous power tools are?
