2006 Impala SS Restoration Progress Jan 2024

Figured out a simple, strong way to replace the rusted-out OEM inner rocker reinforcement with a hunk of rectangular structural tubing and tie it into all the pillars, front & rear subframe rails and floor. Fitted new inner rocker panel, new inner & outer rear wheel tubs, new rear subframe rail and cooked up some patches here & there. Next step, take it all apart, prepare and coat everything with rust resistant coatings inside and out before final assembly.
