Good morning! I bet they smelled delicious!! The only thing I would change is when you told people that if their mix starts to puff up or expand to spray more alcohol. Put in a bit more baking soda...adding more liquid that contains water will only add to the issue. A lot of people that are just starting out will be confused by just saying alcohol, since they come in a variety of percentages. 50%, 70%, 91% or 99% are the most common used and they would need to use the HIGHER percentage to eliminate more of the fizzing reaction. Just adding more baking soda is the best way to stop a mix that is too wet and expanding. Experienced people know how fussy BB mixes etc can be because we all live in different climates and the recipes need to be adjusted to their own humidity levels. Take care and stay safe!! Big ((Hugs)) from Texas!! xx : )
Hiya, thanks for sharing your shower steamer video. I've just begun making these. As we're in Winter here in Australia, I made ones with eucalypt eo & peppermint eo.
I loved your video and your shower melts look awesome....I could almost smell them through the screen haha. You make it seem easy and I will definitely be trying your recipes.
You don't want the oils in your shower but you want the tumeric and flower petals? --- Sorry, I am not a shower person... I take baths so have a couple of questions! LOL I want to make some of these but have a question? Could somebody tell me if all these flower petal thingies... don't they clog up the shower drain? I don't think my husband would appreciate having to clean up the drain by using them, so I am guessing nobody else would just to make them pretty? LOL Maybe they are tiny enough to just go down the drain? And as for the tumeric, I am fairly certain that would stain the bottom of my husbands shower, am I wrong? Maybe not in a regular tub style shower, but our Master bath shower is a free standing one and it has a plastic type surface on walls and base. I teach cooking classes and do some catering so I do know my food and I KNOW that tumeric will stain clothing and some surfaces, so I am just asking... has anybody tried using this in a shower with a surface like this? Just saying.... please test this before you "gift" someone one of these!
I came here to say the same thing about the tumeric. I can't imagine that it won't stain the shower floor, but maybe if it's not a large amount it won't? Idk. @scentsbyemebathbody3161
LOVE how you grow what you can and source 'clean'...we need to teach the young to grow and be self sufficient with nutrients/foods xo
