Nice review. The jacket looks good on you. I have this same jacket but in the wool-lined version. I really love the jacket and have gotten a lot of compliments while wearing it.
@@PyroClit I would say no. I think this jacket actually gets a little too hyped when it comes to warmth. I would say it could take the place of a hoodie and when temperatures get into the 40's and 30's a light hoodie or sweater underneath is sufficient, I wouldn't agree when people say it's warm enough for temperartures below freezing. It definitely won't take the place of my winter jacket, not with the sub-zero midwest winter. It really is a great jacket. I just feel good wearing it. You won't regret your purchase.
@@PyroClit You made a good choice. It's a big purchase and the wool-lined version is even more coin than the flannel but I'm very glad I went with that one. Mine is tan. What color are you going with?
You might want to try a Large. You are swimming in that jacket. If the Large is too small, take the XL to a tailor to take in the mid or at least get the sleeves hemmed.
These are definitely not the most comfortable jackets ever. I actually sent the trucker jacket back for being so plain as well. I ordered a large, and it's snug up towards my shoulders due to the wax being so heavy but if I sorta pull the sleeves off the jacket back it's no longer snug. I sent it back and got a Hudson waxed waxed jacket instead. It has the same issue with being snug. Both are roomy but the Hudson has a little more room and I like that. I'm not a slender person like most of the skinny guys doing these reviews and I'm not paid to say I love it when it's just a basic jacket. If I had to choose between the 2 it would definitely be the Hudson. I know most people are crazy about the trucker because of The Last Of Us but the superior jacket is the Hudson. Also the pics are alot lighter for anyone buying these. The wax makes them extremely darker. I got the Trucker in the color Field Tan and it was a very dark brown. I got the Hudson in Forest and it's a very ugly dark olive (almost) black with shades of brown.
Sorry your experience with this jacket wasn't a good one. I truly love mine, bought it myself, and am not paid to endorse the jacket. But I realize everybody has a different preference. This one just feels right to me. I've never checked out the Hudson that you refer to.
I’ve been looking into this, would you say this jacket is only good for specific temperatures though? I live in the Pacific Northwest and the temperature/weather changes dramatically. I just don’t want to sweat in this when it’s barely over 60 degrees outside.
I'm in the Pacific Northwest, too- in Tualatin, Oregon. I would say this jacket is perfect for temps between 60-80 degrees. It's best as a Spring jacket, I think.

It is the best jacket I've ever owned but not the most comfortable. That lining is actually rough. Compare the lining to a 100% cotton brushed flannel
Yes- brushed cotton flannel would be softer. But I find my jacket super comfortable.
