Ha, it hits the 19th fret once. Normally I'll do the run up with the little finger when playing live (or standing up), but it feels more comfortable leaving it out while sitting down.

I'm guessing he's using an OD channel, perhaps a blues driver, I'm not sure if there's proper distortion on this song but it wouldn't hurt to play it with distortion and not just OD

I’m using a Boss Sd-1 with a Behringer Ultra Metal. sounds good to me
Big Marshall amps have that type of tone, looks like a 900 on the crunch or distortion channel. But very Marshall sound. Might have a boost or light overdrive but sounds to me like the amp doing the heavy lifting. A Marshall dsl amp will get you in the ballpark if looking for something relatively more affordable
Why are your tabs not the same as what you are playing?
he shows the guitar 2 part but plays part 1 for most of the video if that is what you were confused about.
@Miles .Cottrill there's a guitar 1 and guitar 2 so it's lead and rhythm respectively, the white guitar is lead and the other is rhythm
@Miles .Cottrill I've played it all the way through, you have to remember that the timing and when you play each note matters, maybe try using a metronome

How long does it take to be able to play this? I've been practicing an hour a day for the past two years. Just wondering how much longer I need to be playing.
Jadoniouse I've been playing for like 2 years and maybe 7 months, a few months ago I just started learning how to play this, I have the intro and main rifs down, the solo is pretty difficult but once you get the hang of it, the rest just kinds flows

The intro might take a bit. Practice it with a metronome and try to get it clean. Trick is not to go too fast, practice slow and be patient. I think this song can be learned in a few days, it's not that difficult aside from the intro riff. The solo is not too bad. This would take me a few days to learn if I practiced a few hours a day. Might take weeks or months depending on your skill level. Mind you I've been playing for over a decade.
Because of you I can play the whole song now (I'm still working on the solo) and I know it's 2019 now but thanks a lot(:

Hey man, I've had a white V100 for a few years now and have found that it plays better than any other guitar I've owned before or since then (also has an amazing sound from the wilkinson bridge pickup for such a low priced guitar). How do you think it ranks against the Epi LP?
Honestly, I haven't owned one before. But I have played both at a guitar store lmao (both guitars were plugged into a Blackstar ID Core 10W). I can say that they both sound good, and though the V100 is pretty great, I'd rather get the Epi. Epiphone has a certain sound that just isn't given by other brands. If you plan on simply just playing at home, then just stick with V100. If you plan on gigging around, then I suggest you invest in the Epiphone.

Cheers for the comment. I've just put together a quick website where you can find the Pod Farm tone I use (www.matthewkenworthy.com/gear-tones/). In this song I've mixed it with a little bit of my JCM800 mic'd with an SM57 (no pedals).

Definitely not impossible, as long as you've got the motivation and time to practice. The more time you put in, the more you'll get out of it. Don't get a cheap guitar, but you don't need to go too expensive either, consider something second hand to save some cash. Good luck!
