Probably sits better when you listen to the full album. If you’re looking for upbeat Blur you won’t find it there though - it’s an album of heartbreak. Absolutely beautiful and a full story across the songs. My favourites are Barbaric and Russian Strings. Just got no.1 in the UK today.
the new album is great, id recommend listening to more of this album. my favourite of the album right now is there song called the everglades, super serene with a bit of melancholy on top.
Blur and Gorillaz just nothing to compare it's chalk and cheese, this is a song to blub up to every time you listen after ten years of thinking Blur were gone forever.
I've listened to this a couple of times, and think its definitely a grower. Its a very beautiful song. nicely crafted with a sweet melody. It may not be spectacular in the usual sense, but not everything needs to be fireworks ...
Good reaction. Personally, I love this song, but I think you would prefer the second song from their new album, it is called 'St Charles Square'. It is more upbeat and feels more like a traditional Blur song.
I've been in love with them for decades. My husband and I are obsessed with this song.
I was underwhelmed on first listen....by third listen absolutely hooked
Same. Was wondering what is up with that chorus on the first listen, but once I've learnt the structure of the song it grew on me.
"Barbaric" is another class track. One of their best ever.
You can't compare Gorillaz and Blur. Damon works on many projects. He has eclectic tastes.

The new album is incredible
This song couldn’t done with a smidge more oomph. But ultimately it is a grower and I do like it.

Have you reacted to Suede or the Dandy Warhols?
"Basic"? I disagree
It’s a great song. Guys please react to Gerry Cinnamon - Sometimes or British band Catfish and the Bottlem - Pacifier
