我的粤语和英语都进步了
佢個年紀，仲用Single Mom,好似吾適合囉，有D博同情嘅感覺。我吾知点解佢可以咁有信心教英文，佢D發音港式到呢！Mind you佢吾係讀屋邨學校，所以從小事情就可以睇到呢D人幾敢高傲！吾会放下身段，從頭學好D發音嘅！
其實真係冇問題，single mom係事實。
教英文亦唔一定話發音要全部準確嘅，特別當佢係以出書形式教英文嘅時候。
我有請教老公，佢係英國人，佢就話葉太個女都成年啦，冇需要係呢個位提。我地吾係native,当然冇可能全部啱音。但既然從幼稚園已經開始学呢個語言，祇要用心少少，應該可以講得好好多。浪费左！

What a poncy woman ! You cannot call yourself an "educator" just because you have published a few books. This makes you an actual "writer" !!! She is definitely twisting the English language ! What is a "public intellectual" ? Doesn't she mean she is a "Public Policy Advisor" ??? Public intellectual means, a gossipy and nosy person. A person that knows what the public is up to !!! such a weird woman. Those that you classified as "public intellectual" are not that at all. They are basically journalists, and media journalists !!! Or political writers !
Should that not be "(Eligible) Single Mom", and not "Single Mom (Eligible)" ????!!
If you write 1) "(Eligible) Single Mom" - This means I am single and is eligible.
2) "Single Mom (Eligible)" - This means, I am a single mom, and is eligible for the different benefits !!!
So yes, how you write this term, whether in front or after IS important ! I don't think that her advocation that even for her age, at 71, that she should not find a partner... In fact, if you pool together your inheritances and things like that, there is no problem with that, and many people may find this understandable ?

I spent a bit of time ... just a handful of minutes, actually ... trying to detect clues in the way you wrote your comment that might reveal your gender (colloquialism, using a term used in grammar (he/she) to refer to sex (male/female) . It was fun. But I failed .... no, no, I did not succeed! 😁

Anyway, I hope you're familiar with the way I write... to friends, at least. I try to be entertaining. The following apologetic confession, unfortunately, is not.
My behaviour has been erratic, to say the least. The reason -- not an excuse -- is that I'm now a frail old man INELIGIBLE for desperately needed 'nursing home' healthcare for senior citizens in the United States. Consequently, I'm no longer able to give 009 a run for his money. Worse, Moneypenny is never around as she promised when melancholic emotions get the better of me.
There you have it. If you consider me WORTHY （值）of another chance, well, you know what to do to tell me. I look forward to 👍's particularly from Chloe 💝, Jasmine, Mary Connie and company, and Bryan Koh. Forgive me.

Hi Mr Lau! This is my interpretation. Perhaps one shouldn't be thinking about whether it is 值得 to pursue her. When one thinks in this direction, it inevitably gives one self a sense of condescending attitude. i.e. You're not worth or are worth my time. But who am I to make the claim that you are worthy or not? Just because of you being a single mom?

為何教外語要挾帶對他人作不禮貌的評擊？即使他用語不太妥當(你認為)，也可以用謙厚、禮貌的方式指出。這是我第一次遇到這樣出言不遜教外語的人，不能稱之為老師，真正老師不會是這個樣子。我看過很多來自世界不同教外語的視頻，就是沒有這樣的。帶着傲慢、不禮貌教外語，即使再專業、再有料，也得不到尊敬，也不想跟隨學習！！

@@flyingsky7447 你所指的葉劉我不認識，我一直有看很多英美人士教外語的頻道，他們在指出他人錯用語法、用詞時，往往都以禮貌、尊重他人的角度和方式作出糾正，並沒有如此粗暴的言辭和態度，既然要傳授他國的語言文化和自己所學的東西，為何不能以謙虛、禮貌、大方的方式傳遞，去吸納觀眾和令人誠心拜學呢？這位女士在網上教學的目的和初心為何？是專為嘲諷、貶損他人抬高自己而來的嗎？是為炫耀自己十幾年苦學的成果？
