    One thing that has always amazed me about Andrews videos is the dogs and how they instinctively know to stay out of the way of the heavy equipment.

    I'd say 80% of the issues of getting the tires beaded was because they were so cold, if they had set out the sun in the summer they probably pop right on. Next time instead of the ratchet straps, which I use all the time when mounting smaller tires, maybe try a ratcheting chain binder to get a lot of pressure on it. Love the videos. Keep up the good work Andrew.

    • @hunterwebb9697

Anyone else in their 50's or 60's watch his videos and wonder how Andrew's body is going to feel when he's in his 50's due to all that hard, physical labor he's doing today. It's crazy how we can wear out our bodies in our youth and not realize it. We then pay for it when we reach our 50's. You see pro athletes in their early to mid 30's still in good shape playing their sport. Then you see them 20 years later when they reach their mid 50's and they walk like they are crippled. The joys of aging!
    Andrew, you should consider throwing out those undersized 16 or 18 gauge extension cords you're using. Then go pick up some 100' 10 gauge extension cords so your don't burn up anymore of those amp thirsty power tools like that sawzall.

    Wow!! I have not laughed this hard in a long time. From the extraneous work on the tires andthe dangerous bead sealing procedures which were hilarious to the uphill bobsledding with your pick up trucks and the losing of your payload down the mountain, there’s been so many laughs in this video thanks for making my day you always do whether we laugh or not but this was a good BIG dose of laughter which is the best medicine!

      I'm in the upper midwest where we get tons of snow that usually stays. In area like he is, the wet winter can be brutal, mostly in a clay-ish soil area. It gets warm enough for some snow to melt, then it freezes and repeats, made worse by the clay.

    Wish I knew you were taking on this project ahead of time. I have all the good stuff to mount tires like that. There is a mounting compound, looks like grease, for those tires. I have really good inflation fittings, mounting lube and everything else you could need. Mounting a cold tire is very difficult to begin with, the heater was a good idea. I’ll look for your P.O. Box and send you some of the small stuff.

    1/24/23; ...2day: new tires for the Roller. Wow! Sooo much heavy lifting, heavy duty equipment, almost nuclear 💥 explosions to get new tires on rims in your Castle Shop...but Andrew's tough work ethic prevails. Dogs get bored watching Andrew struggle & take a (long) hike...but AC succeeds with dogs recovered & ultimately (in snow & ice) tires get mounted with help from Dumster Dave & his dog/twin to AC's Blue. Amazing how watching dogs in freezing cold play while AC works in snow makes video ending 'warm & cuddling' 😊 Another great video Andrew! 👏👏 Glad you bring a 'buddy' along during these 'work on the mountain' activities👨‍🔧...steep slopes, slippery ice, heavy equipment, tools etc. Stay safe & carry on!👍👍👍😊🫕🍷

    Brother, my lower back is sore just from watching this. I wouldve cussed a 1000 times trying to get those beads to seat. My hat is off to you.

  • @ChessMasterNate
    @ChessMasterNate ปีที่แล้ว +25

    I have changed a whale of a lot of tires. The first tire you took off, you needed to loosen the backside before trying to remove (the bead should also be well above where it seats, so you may have to prop up the back side a little with some small bricks close to the rim, to keep it loose) and put grease on the bead and just beyond the bead on the inside, the tools were correct. The second one, you got the backside loose but gave up fast and just used the saw, but it probably would have come off with a bit of grease or dish soap. Getting some air sucked out of the innertube might have helped a little as well. When they get filled with water, that is real hell. I assume that happens when someone takes the valve core out when it is underwater. I just get the aftermath. Sometimes clowns glue the tires to the rims. When the boss wants to sell the glued tire used, that is incredibly difficult to get loose intact.
    To put air in the new ones one you need to set 2 other tires with air in them about a foot apart on the ground, maybe a little further. Then you set the tire you are trying to fill straddling them, like a bridge. It should not reach the ground. Then you put pressure on top of it for a third point. Any of your tractor shovels would work great pushing down on the top (and it still should not reach the ground). Then just fill, with the valve core out. Put back in when it is sealed and the tire has moved to the correct seating position on the rim. Those dang straps rarely work because at the same time they bring the outside toward the center they also pull the sides in.
