- The brand new Matterhorn Alpine Crossing links Zermatt in Switzerland to Cervinia in Italy. Crossing the Klein Matterhorn summit at 3883m, this spectacular route is made up of 6 cable cars between the 2 villages, and is worth a round trip. It's not cheap, and it will take a good 4-5 hours to complete, and to take a nice lunch in Cervinia, but it is worth the ride. The spectacular views and the awe inspiring engineering will take your breath away.
I will travel to Turin in April and would sleep one night in Cervinia just to take this cable car to Zermatt and back. The Matterhorn is on my bucket list for the last 10 years
Great plan! I hope the skies are clear for you!
@@adeeyp Thanks, yes I hope it will be a sunny Spring day
@jeffmerheb3182 May I know where do you get the tickets from Cervinia ?

Yes you can. Very easily!
Beautiful. I've been to Zermatt but want to go back. Any idea what the name of the small lake at 2.00 is?
Sure, its the Theodolgletschersee, it is right next to TrocknerSteg cable car station, no more than 5 mins walk.
it was fun.
So beautiful! Thank you for sharing. What month did you go there? Thank you.
Thanks! It was in late June
Great video- which station did you get off to go to the lake??
Trockener Steg. I hiked from there to Schwarzsee using the path via Furggsee.
@adeeyp thank u so much - will follow and copy your trail 👣 😊
If I understand, the Express 1 needed the passengers to have skis and Express II can take "walkers"? And is Express II active or not yet because on the official website they are still saying "only ski" to go to Cervinia
How much did it cost?
Also, do they allow you to take luggage
I’m not sure why you would want to take luggage but i think it would be possible. For costs look at the Zermatt bergbahn website, as there are different rates dependant on stations travelled or swiss half tax. Enjoy!

Hand luggage yes, large suitcase no.
Single fare about CHF120 Cervinia to Zermatt or vice versa
How can I go from Cervinia to Milan in Italy?
I will go to Switzerland from Milan and I want to return to Milan in this ride.
how much the Total Cost you Paid for all the Cable car from Zermatt to Cervinia?
I have a Swiss half tax so it was 140chf return.
But do you know the regular price for the ride? Thanks for the response.
From Cervinia to Zermatt was 250 Euro return - too much for a family of 4. Under 12's is half price. Also last car back from Zermatt would have left at just after 4, so not OK for a day trip.@@jiggzdee7017
I believe it is CHF120 one way@@jiggzdee7017
@@jiggzdee7017 you can easily find it all on the Zermatt bergbahn website.
