I have the same bike. Same colour. I went from a Harley to 1200 Tiger to this 2023 900 Tiger. I love it. So far my favourite bike I’ve ridden.
At first I didn’t want the Blue, I wanted black. But like you said, not a lot of options.
I’ve actually grown to love the colour now. 🇨🇦

I found this out when I read the owner's manual but you shouldn't have to scroll thru screens to find something as basic as the odometer. What was Triumph thinking? The screen design is the one thing I don't like about mine. I guess Triumph has a cleaner screen design on the new one.

I suppose it's all relative. None of my bikes are what I would call comfortable after about 5 minutes of riding. I loved your video about riding the tail. I'm only about 45 min to an hour away and I hadn't been back since 2008. Your video inspired me to do a dragon run.

I just wanted to write to say I am an older rider (72) and have been riding motorcycles since I was 7. I currently have a Heritage Softail for the road, a Honda CRF300L for the dirt and built a racing mini bike over the winter between ski trips. I really, really enjoy your videos. I feel you are very easy to listen to and do a great job talking about skills and your progression as a rider. Please keep up the great job you do for a very long time

I had a concours 14 and considered wrapping it. A few places I talked to said they won't wrap bikes because they look bad after about 2 years. If you do want to change the color, you have to remove all the plastics, you might as well paint it.

Just a two cents regarding the interface: it's a common issue in many, maaany places. You get an interface designed by someone who is not necessarily a rider and not always in a way that is user friendly.

I think this is the first time I heard that Doodle's inseam is 31" -- all this time the hook was that she was not just a new rider (back in the beginning) but that she was a short new rider -- but in what world is a 31" inseam short? I have a 25" inseam, for instance.

    • @pocketlint82
      @pocketlint82 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

I showed this channel to my gf when she started riding. she is 5ft and has like a 24" inseam and she had a similar sentiment. Doodle isn't actually short. I'm a 5'6 male and have a 30in inseam. I wish my legs were as long as doodles haha. Maybe I'd be able to reach the ground on a tiger 900. I crossed it off my list cause I couldn't even tip toe

Doodle, I think you have an excellent all around Adventure bike. Unless you are boulder jumping, the Tiger 900 GT with good tires, skid plate, crash bars, etc. like you have will more than handle most off-road adventure touring. And I love your blue color over the red - personal choices. I ride a 850 GS, rode the 900 GT and prefer the Triumph, so my next bike will be the GT, which I do plan to take off road, so another set of Anakee Adventures. The 900 Rally is just too tall for me at 66 years old, 5'7" with a 30" inseam. Yes, I know all the techniques, but still prefer a lower seat for many reasons. Enjoy what you have to its fullest! You done good :)

Ahhhh welcome to the world of the infamous Triple engine. Doesn't she sound dreamy? As far as your track day goes, I'd definitely swap out the tires and or the wheels for track days. There are tires that are less dirt oriented that may suit you after since it looks like you do mostly roads. That engine in your tiger is a MONSTER so once you open her up she's gonna SING! Wait until you get your butt off the seat, you're gonna laugh in those corners.

Hello Doodle, nice vid! I’ve got a GS, I’m taller than you , but our inseam is about the same. Many of your ergonomic critiques are true across the adventure touring segment.. good and bad. Consider looking for adjustable foot pegs. The ones I bought have two choices, a centimeter higher or lower. It doesn’t sound like much, but that little lowering and extra room feels really nice in your knees over time/miles.
    Keep having fun

If you want to “solve” your seat issue, a Russel Day Long saddle will do it. It’s a custom seat they build on your stock seat pan.
It’s not cheap and it’s a pain in the ass to get done, but it lives up to the name.
Only warning I have is that it can make you ground reach even worse.
They can add a back rest too, but it really won’t do much on the upright riding position of your bike.
    It can be heated too.
It’s better than any prebuilt after market seat, I will never own a bike without one now.

I've ridden a Ducati Panigale 1100, A Ducati Monster, Triumph Speed Triple (1997) Suzuki SV 650, Ninjas, etc. This Triumph Tiger does everything I want it to do. I've done track days on the SV and Ninja so that I could learn to ride in the twisties. I haven't done my parking lot turns this year because I'm busy lately, but it's something I do. Never did 3000 though! I love the hard cases on my bike. I have a better seat, it's really good. Thanks for sharing.

I bought a 22 Tiger GT Pro after a 40 some odd year hiatus from motorcycles. Moved to a ski town and it was all about skiing and mountain biking. The work hard/play hard lifestyle caught and after a knee replacement and an ankle replacement it was time to simmer down. What an easy bike to reacquaint myself! I still have a 1974 Ducati 750 Sport I bought when I was 20. Crazy extremely uncomfortable ride. I get on the Tiger and it’s a magic carpet! Like you, a few little gripes but what a lovely ride. That being said, I got a crazy Christmas bonus and I
Put it on the block hoping for a 24 Rally. I’m in Idaho with more dirt than pavement so I should have done that to begin with. If I don’t get what I want , no big. I’ll just get some more aggressive tires ( currently Dunlop Trailmax Missions). 24 has addressed a few of my issues.

I don't understand this. You don't use your biceps tendon much when riding, so i'm not seeing what the problem is.
Context, I have two torn biceps, right now, and I ride almost daily.
To be fair, I commute and tour on my bike. I am not strafing the canyons or doing trackdays.
I also had a disc replaced in my back in November, and I know I rode my bike less than 3 weeks after that. When I was still supposed to be on my bed or on the couch, for as long as possible. Context; I ride an adventure bike, so the ergos are mega comfortable.

I understand about the color. I really liked the Pearl/black paint on the Triumph Bonneville. I wanted that color for mine. The dealer said they could get one, but not at my price. I settled on the red/black T100 instead.

My Girlfriend purchased a Triumph Street Triple 675R From Peter Stevens in Melbourne Australia. After leaving the dealer about 25km the rear cowl cover left the bike at about 80kmh I was following and saw it fly off, a mechanic hadn't refitted it properly. A little after this we stopped and she complained that the bike was hard to handle, I checked the tyre pressure and her brand new bike had 21psi in the front tyre..we rode to a gas station and inflated the tyre the bike was a whole lot better. How can it be that a dealer can be so incompetent?

    • @pcthayer
      @pcthayer 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

Unfortunately it takes one incompetent worker to give a dealership a bad reputation. Glad those actions didn't cause an accident and anyone getting hurt. The question is how did that dealership react when those things were reported to them? That tells you by their response how good of a dealership they are.

I had problems with my knees on my Triumph Thunderbird back in the day, and I did the same thing with the passenger pegs on that bike. I even asked if there was a kit out there to put in rear controls for those pegs.

you are right, the seat was horrible, I choose to get the Sargent setup. It's really nice now. What Tank bars did you end up choosing? My rally pro didn't come with tank guards. Thanks.

I have the EXACT same bike and 100% the interface is awful! I'm looking at adding a Carpuride unit to my handlebar to use wireless Android functions. And we are in sync on the blue. I love the modes, heat and ride adjustability. I'm 6 foot 1, 52 years old and am loving my transition from the Harleys and Indians to ADV bikes!

Nice honest review. I like how you take the negatives and overcome them, such as ride height. I really dislike comments from folks about having to flat foot. Get over it and learn how to ride. It is funny how you added more height to the seat for comfort but didn't have an issue with your feet. Please explain the 0 & 1 shirt. each line is different. 👍 Oh and price to me is more important than color. After we put all the crap on the bike you might not be able to see the color anyway. I too had a blue bike and it just never grew on me.

I used that air bubble thing once or twice, and then got a Seat Concept seat cushion and cover for my Versys 650, "remodeled" my seat and I never looked back. Sure, it was more expensive but definitely worth it for me.

I think the blue looks great, but you can’t really argue against red. Both are great colors for a motorcycle I mostly see blacked out bikes where I live, if they’re not green or orange.

Great video! I'm curious to ask how you avoid fogging up your visor, such as during your Tail of the Dragon ride in the rain. Visibility would be critical there. And I agree, red would be better than blue for a bike colour.

I have a 2017 1200cc version which has a more dated user screen. However, my main issue is the fact that the switches/controls don’t illuminate at night (all my previous Hondas did this) - so operating them at night is a bit of guesswork. Also agree the seat is a bit hard. Other than that, great all round bike ( might not be good for shorter riders - but hey, you’ve got the pick of just about every other bike)

I bought a ‘23 850 Sport as a 3rd bike in the orange. Haven’t been ridden it much. It sits in the garage between my ‘18 Street Triple R and ‘21 HD Sport Glide. I didn’t car for all of the extras at this time. My daughter named it Tigger and will become her first bike. Still trying different positions on the windscreen so I’m not about to bobble head.
