    Thanks for the video. Same issue with the 'intermittant power surge'. Its a bit frustrating as I took it into the dealer, but of course they had no problem when running it and therefore no real solution. So glad you aired this issue for all to see.

      I think it's in the wiring harness! pinched wire or something,

    Regarding the noisy hedge trimmer. One idea is check the tension on the Nuts/bolts along the shaft , first run a lot of inox or whatever your using on the blades see if it quiet’s down then loosen slightly 1/8 a turn and repeat and retry after each change.

    I'm also a big Husqvarna fan, I'm not far off retirement, so haven't switched to battery. I use the 535LK pro combi, and it is excellent!! Shed loads of power, and very reliable!

      why no one's being honest about the play in the adjustment axle ? in any position mine has like 1,5-2 cm play at the blade edge, this is huge, in straight position, it looks like it's on the -1 decline position...... I can see the same problem on any video of it (520ihe3), this plays a lot... the steel adjustement ring not only plays itself, but it also slowly eats the painted zamac in the slot. I'll have to disassemble it and find a way to fix this. Makes me want to get back to gas engine.

      @@arthsvic6828 You bring up a good point. I also don't like the first angle increment position. It's too angle. I would prefer a smaller increment say 7 degrees instead of 15

    They are fantastic, we run a couple of them and they get dogs abuse. They do have issues. I have replaced a few bearings. They are sensitive to dirty blades. The motor doesn't have the start up power to shift sticky blades. Plenty of wd40, don't use regular oil or grease as it's too heavy.. Also the spade connectors on the motor aren't great, they come loose, hence the ropey starting. I put a spot of solder on the spades on two machines the other day to see if it will help. Normally the first model of a machine is better, after that the accountants get to work cutting costs with shitty components. We have the same problem with speed variation, not sure if it's a temperature thing, we are in Ireland where the highest temp ever recorded is only about 30⁰c , mind you if it was 30⁰c we wouldn't be working, we'd be at the beach.

    Good job, safety first. Still using my 10 year old stihl gas trimmer, I’ll go electric eventually but the initial costs for the batteries needed…

    I am just an old dude who does a little bit of GM for people. I have two 520ihe3. Why have u two? Because the first one put the gearing through the housing and I couldn’t wait the time it was going to take to get it fixed, so I bought another one. Very quickly after I bought no 2 it started to give problems with the trigger. It went off to sick bay as well. So I had two expensive machines in the workshop and I wasn’t going to buy a third while I was waiting! I eventually got them back but they both still have some issues. One seems to slow down when I’m using it. The other sometimes still misses starting when I trigger it. I’m nervous when I go to a job that I won’t get it finished before they break down. Despite their frailties I love working with them. When they are working well, there is just nothing better out there.

      Agreed with you that there isn't anything better out there! We are a bigger company now and use these quite often. I want 2 of each size in each truck and have back ups in the shop. Downtime could cost the price of 1 trimmer alone... Cheers!

    Having the same issues with the hedge trimmer and combo trimmer, both surging and slowing.. Blower also surges sometimes like something is caught on the fan intake (but nothing is!) Has to be a battery/ electrics issue.. (Using 2 x 300 & 2 x 200 batteries 2 years old.. Haven't found a reputable service shop here in Sunshine Coast!!

    • @electric6877
      @electric6877 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve heard that it’s likely related to a temperature sensor on the control board. A lot of different battery powered equipment tools occasionally have this issue. We took our 520ihd60 to the shop and one took like 5 months and they were “too busy to get to it” then the second dealer said it was a “bent blade”. Except that a bent blade would cause the trimmer to barely move and it would make the electrical small “hum” sound when trying to press the trigger. But it’s doing the surging issue. I had this issue on my 325ilk and it turned out to be the trigger switch.
