@7:00 I agree with their Callie mystery. Cause even in the video game (the supposed Ghostbusters 3), they never mention Egon’s daughter once either.
The video game is not canon. I know Aykroyd in the past has said that the video game is essentially the third movie, but that was well before Afterlife. Now that the new movie was made, the video game can no longer be called canon.
@@ghost.beacon hi i hate to be dumb and i know it might be because i am only half way in to the game but why can't the game be conon where does it not fit in with afterlife i know they dont talk about it in afterlife but they dont talk much about gb2 and as far as i can tell there is no reason gb2 cant of happened in the conon
@@roslyntrotter5025 I don't want to give too much away since you're still playing the video game, but Ivo Shandor doesn't fit in. They are two different adaptations. Plus the dates in the mine shaft doesn't include the 1991 events from the video game, just 1984.

I would say Lucky and Trevor are meant to parallel Dana and Peter, to some degree...
I do agree, but then again I feel the same way about Callie and Gary. Paul Rudd has more of the Bill Murray swagger to his delivery of his lines and it definitely plays off well Carrie Coons' performance.

I doubt that she is. According to Egon's lab, it looks like Callie was probably born around 1981. So hopefully this will be addressed in later movies.

By the way the whistle of death is real but sounds different sounds more like the last breath from a dying person.
Maybe he had an affair but Calli's mom never mentioned to Egon that she had a child.
The mom would have mentioned Callie to Egon, because he had that collage of Callie's photos in his lab. The dates next to the photos indicate that he kept tabs of Callie's life over the years. An affair seems out of character for Egon, but then again I would have never imagined him having a child after all these years of watching the two films.
Well, my theory is that it was someone he knew who worked at the University. Some teacher, or some staff member. He got involved with the woman and she didn't tell him at the beginning that she was pregnant but changes her mind when she saw the Ghostbusters ads on TV. He gets to know Callie, but because of the danger of his work life he is busy and can't be with Callie and her mom all the time. Her mom gets sad about the situation and just keep sending to Egon photos of her. And eventually, she has to move on and take Callie with her to a different place in the city. Eventually, she lost contact and Callie lost interest in knowing her father because he was engaged too much to his science and gets angry at him. But Egon never lost faith in seeing her again.
It can be a number of things. Enough to drive you 🤪 crazy! I just hope they can clarify this mystery in the next film.
@@speardagger I can get behind this theory. With the mom telling Egon about Callie after the GB's battle with Gozer, this would lead Egon to focus on getting to know the mom/ Callie in the 5 years between GB 1 and 2. This would also lead Janine to seek someone else romantically in GB2 (Louis).
