In eastern South Dakota we called them coulees "ravines". And when ravines happen we let grass grow there and if they are big in area then we use them to cut prairie hay.

Dad is very proud of you Disking the field, in English, we say "plowing the field" although you're not using a Pick Axe to do it. Great job, Beauty. Remember, to check for Fido of Dad before you move the Tractor. Wouldn't want you to shred his toes nor the dog's paws! Thanks for sharing, and keep up the good work.
LOL! Thank you for your great story and kind words! Using a pick axe would take decades to plow here!!! LOL I appreciate your great advice and we are always very careful to be sure no person or animal is around any equipment before we move it.
Wow, that John Deere is a beast! Way bigger than the ones you see around where I live (Hertfordshire, UK) You see a lot of more medium/small tractors around here in the countryside. Those twin tires are wider than many of our little country lanes! Looked equally as fun as it did scary to drive lol. Thanks for all the explanation, it's very interesting to know how these processes work! Love watching you two work together, keep up the great work!
Thank you for your terrific story and amazing kindness!!!! You made my day!!!! I would love to see farms in the UK and Mom never stops talking about the Kew Botanical Gardens that she wants to see!!!!
@@KatesAg It's certainly a bit different over here, everything is on a smaller scale with a lot of small winding lanes (at least around where I live) I'm not a farmer myself, but I'm lucky enough to live near to a couple farms and have views of some of their fields from my house so it's always interesting to watch the progress each year! Several farms are open to the public and they've always been very friendly and eager to show people what they're doing, although I try not to disturb them at work too often! One of them near us recently got a Fendt 939 Vario which is the largest I've seen locally - probably can't go much larger as that already looks to be quite a squeeze to get down our lane to the fields! I'm sure it would be interesting for you guys to see the differences if you were to visit the area. Also Kew Botanical Gardens is definitely worth a visit by itself. I went a few years back and it's an amazing place for sure!

@@KatesAg haha! Yes! I've found that when trying anything new, skiing, driving anything, you name it, the most important thing to know is how to stop! ha! If you have that down, then you can handle about anything. ;-)

We call them washouts here in Oregon
In eastern South Dakota we called them coulees "ravines". And when ravines happen we let grass grow there and if they are big in area then we use them to cut prairie hay.
Thank you for your great story!
Kate, I like how you always try to do your best and do things well. I enjoy learning about farming by watching Kate's AG. :)

Hi Kate, really enjoy the videos of you learning to drive trucks & tractors always great content
Thank you so much for your kindness and great encouragement!!!!!!!!!
Keep up the great work! It won’t be long and you will have it mastered 👍🏻👏🏻
Thank you for your kindness and great encouragement!! I appreciate it.
Tack för att du visar hur arbete fortgår på eran farm.Du kommer bli en duktig traktor förare
Hej från Montana! Tack så mycket för din vänlighet och stora uppmuntran !!!
@@KatesAg
It's certainly a bit different over here, everything is on a smaller scale with a lot of small winding lanes (at least around where I live) I'm not a farmer myself, but I'm lucky enough to live near to a couple farms and have views of some of their fields from my house so it's always interesting to watch the progress each year!
