I've seen this thing on plenty of pictures, but to see it actually flying is so weird. The thing is just enormous and doesn't look at all like it belongs in the sky. A true marvel of engineering, thanks for sharing!
You're very welcome, this Beluga is part of the XL fleet, and it's based on the a330 these can carry one set of a350 wings or two sets of a320 wings, I was lucky enough to do some work at Airbus many years ago, and the fleet of belugas back then were based on the a300 also able to carry a decent bit of cargo. Hopefully I can get some better footage as I see these planes every day coming into Broughton, thankyou so much for watching and commenting.all the best
They are aren't they, these are the largest of the beluga aircraft, based on the a330 airbus, the smaller ones are based on the a300 ,both fleets have 5 aircraft if I remember correctly. Thanks for watching and comment.
