It's amazing the feats that are accomplished with things like Affect Effects, Adobe Premiere and Cinema 4D....much less the other attention to detail in an AU fiction like this. I cannot wait to see what they contrive for season 3 and how Juliana Crain, Joe Blake, Frank Fink are kept relevant and engaged in the story line.
May I ask what that building plan referred to? I tried to look it up and only see references to a song made in the 1980's. I'm assuming that isn't correct.

The best part about it is... Its made with blender, a completely free and open source software.

Wow the visual effects were so seamless. Never took me out of the story. I did t even realize until now that they could have been VFX.

What software was used? I can only fathom guesses. I'm curious as a prior media communications and video production graduate.

Understandable. Blender's particles are ok(they use Houdini instead), and the compositing is meh, especially in 2.7(likely being used mostly by the time the show's season was out.)

The vfx team's attention to detail is impeccable!
Sort of . . . They've redesigned the plan somewhat so the Reichstag isn't quite were it should be, neither really is the Volkshalle. Where Hitlers palace should be they seem to have a monorail running through what would be his back garden but anyway, its well done.
Wow, It's very powerful scenes!!! I was very touching! Albert Speer's architecture was great! This is the masterpiece!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Despite the fact it's the Nazis, the new Berlin looks like an amazing imperial capital, if only such things in our history were imagined and built by better people.
actually did thought of it, but Berlin in reality is too soft to support the buildings in fact they even build a test block that eventually became the flak towers

You know there's a problem with building something from Nazi Germany. It's revolting in notion. Germany wouldn't stomach it. Nor would the states. Best to leave it to fiction. If you enjoy learning about Nazi History and the Occupation, I did see this movie on Amazon called Anthropoid. It's about Reinhard Heydrich and his assassination. I thought the cast was stellar in it.

true that Pontus, but if you Win the War, even though they didnt. but if they had won or got some kind of Peace? who to say that Germany wouldn t have been able to build it anyway? otherwise.. you move the City or build right there on the spot. I don t think The Nazi Cared too much about what this Panzers, Tigers will or would Cost them, as long as the end goal is completed, never mind the cost of lives, supplies or money, I believe Term witch could or was used. I liked the Show, but too much witch was confusion so the Germans Nuked New York City? ( poor New Yorkers always getting trashed in games or movies) and assassinated Roosevelt? and somehow they divide them self America, with Japanese and the Japanese attacked the Western Part? lol. and the Midwest is the Neutral Zone? okay.. what I do find hard to believe is that how an American Officer, John Smith goes for US Army, straight into the midst of SS, and then gets appoint as Area Commander of Eastern USA right? and also this guy is Good friend with Adolf Hitler, and gets along fine with Himmler? and Himmler later in the End, what takes over as the New Fuhrer?
Actually they did think of that little detail. They even made a test to see if the ground was fit to hold large structures. Since it was made pretty clear that it could't it was decided to dig a large pit to remove the soft soil and build a solid foundation out of gigantic granite blocks and concrete. The structure itself could have been build with the engineering technology they had acces to back then. The dome would have been made out of a massive steel framework.
Yes it would have been expensive, but would it really matter if you'd have control over half the world?
Hitler (hate to say it) wasn't stupid, nor was he dimwitted or dumb. He knew very well what he was doing (or at least up to 1943-1944)

You can't really keep control over half the world and not hold the economic advantage. That's why the US control of the world is slipping, because of emerging economies. Spending so much money on the dome would not have been the first time Hitler took on expensive, stupid projects that he had no idea how to pay for. The big economic reforms and stimulus that got Germany out of the Depression in the early 30s was all paid for by going into debt and when it dawned on his minister of finance Hjalmar Schacht that Hitler's plan to pay it off was to go into Eastern Europe and loot it he resigned in protest. That's one of the things we unfortunately spend too little time explaining in high school history; all those jobs that saved the German people was all a house of cards, it was sort of like what Greece did when they joined the EU only many times worse than that.
Hitler was stupid but good at rethoric, many a leader has put their country in worse shape than they found it because of stupid decisions, and Hitler did plenty of them before 1943. The debts of Nazi Germany was already mind boggingly large at 10 times their GDP when they went to war in 1939 but he kept borrowing even more money. Many people say his biggest mistake was that he went into the Soviet Union but, really, he desperately needed the oil fields in Baku and that's really why he committed so many troops to Stalingrad; it was the most important city for shipping all that oil from Baku to the Russian inland since Germany cut the overland pipelines.
After the war when Germany had their mountain of debt the Allies decided that they would strike the outstanding debt and also invest money into stimulating the German economy with the Marshall plan, figuring that an impoverished country was ripe for abuse by men who were dumb as rocks but good orators.
I think German structural engineers would have figured it out. It would have been glorious albeit in a dark and twisted world.
