    Thanks your vids they really hit better than the rest, The mindset speech, belief in compounding breeds patience and more work, I'm not suprprised you're very successful and won't be surprised if you reached even more.
    I'm on Merch since 2018 still Tier 4K now with ~40 Monthly sales, I had to stop between 2020 and 2022 I got Masters degree and first job, I started to get back on the game hopefully I reach tier 8K and $1k/Month By the end of this year.
    Good luck!

      If you have got some time to put into Merch I am sure you can get to tier 8000 this Q4. I have been self employed since May 2019 so I had a lot of time to put into this.
      I can imagine with a Masters degree & job it must have been impossible to spend any time on POD. If you're still getting ~40 sales a month and tier 4k you must have been doing something right before you stopped👌

    Thank you very much for this truthful and honest information. I am still a newbie in this POD world, and I've already started to get discouraged about the lack of sales. I started off focusing on evergreen designs because I thought that's what would sell, and maybe those will pay off in the future, but they certainly haven't gotten me out of the lower tiers. I appreciate your advice (and the advice of others) to focus instead on trends that will result in more immediate sales in order to get out of the lower tiers and open up more slots for some evergreen designs. All that to say: Thank you, Philip!

    Hi Philip, great video as usual and very honest. I do have a question regarding the keywords vid I have also just watched. When writing the listing it was for a specific niche, gaming and anime, what do you recommend is the best way to write for evergreens e.g. a shirt that says 'Me, Sarcastic, Never?' (this is one of mine) but would like to rank higher (obviously) - any thoughts/advice appreciated and keep up the good work. Thanks

    • @PhilipAnders
      @PhilipAnders  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I do typically go after hobby related niches so this is a bit of a harder one. I would type sarcastic into the redbubble tag generator for ideas and also look at top sellers with Similar types of quotes and see what they use. Sarcastic is quite a broad term so it's harder to write a listing for it in my opinion. Sorry I can't be of much help

      @@PhilipAnders That is what I said. His channel is awesome. He isn't trying to sell something, every 5 minutes. He genuinely wants to help us. He is in one of my top 5 POD channels, easily. It is hard for me, because I have to use my daughter's computer, and I can't use it, if she is on it. I use her iPad to design, but her iPad isn't one of the best ones, so I need to use the computer to upload and make sure my designs are properly set up. Sometimes, what I do on the iPad shows up differently on the computer.

    Hi Philip. I have just recently stumbled upon your videos and can't stop watching them and I'm not kidding. Since you're talking about money in this video I have a question to ask as a new person into this POD stuff. Are the payments that artists like yourself receive from Amazon, Redbubble, and other POD marketplaces already tax deducted? What I want to know is who pays the taxes, the artist, or the platform which deducts it and sends money to your account net of taxes? The marketplaces I have researched don't state this clearly. They mention tax forms they send out to artists and that is it. Keep up the good work!

    • @PhilipAnders
      @PhilipAnders  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      this depends on where you live and what the tax laws are between your country and the one where the payment is coming from. For me it's only in very few cases that tax is deducted before I receive payment.

    I have question about MBA, what exactly do you need to join? I heard you need a portfolio of designs, and I was wondering if that is true. I was wondering how many designs you would need, if so. Or, maybe, you could do a video explaining what you need to have to join MBA. Do you need a business license? Or do you just use your Social Security number? I just hear it is hard to get into MBA, and I was wondering what is the best thing to do, to get accepted? I really want to apply to them. Also, do you need to be a Amazon Prime member to apply, meaning, do you have to pay the monthly fee for Prime, to be able to be accepted, or is just having an account good enough. I probably have tons more questions, but I can't think of them now. 🤦😂 Anyway, Thank you, Phil, your videos are always great. You get to the point and don't waste time, trying to sell courses and everything else, under the sun. 😂

    • @PhilipAnders
      @PhilipAnders  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don't overthink the application. I believe I once heard a lot of it has to do with where you live rather than what you actually put in the application. You definitely don't need to be a prime member or have a registered business. I just remember putting something along the lines of I am a passionate graphic designer and I think I could enrich their marketplace with some creative designs. And I linked to a portfolio or something.
      The sooner you try the better, there is a few weeks wait time for a response as well. And if you get rejected you can always try again
