This is possibly one of the coolest villains in the modern era.
Agreed, Metal in general was an excellent story, I never usually read anything outside of the main 'event story' but I bought the villains tie in book and the BWL solo book because I enjoyed him so much!

One of my favorite "new" villians in the dc comics and this statue does him so much justice and even the robin crows look absolutely fantastic!
It reminds me of the ''Mouth of Sauron'' character.

Batman Who Laughs was heavily "inspired" by Judge Death from 2000AD
I was thinking that also Clive Barker's Cenobites.
Call me crazy, but it kinda reminds me of Batman mixed with Joker.

This statue is incredible looking

That figure is honestly amazing. At first I thought the chains were strings and he was like a puppet master controlling the Robin crows.

This is a fantastic piece very Gary acquired..i like this character and can't wait to see what death metal series runs does with him. The detail is amazing especially on the Robin's and their facial expression.

Thanks for the background story! I avoided it because I thought it was just a “what if joker became Batman” story idea. But now, I want to see “Bruce-the-fallen” story idea. Killer status as well!

I have this sick and sadistic statue in my collection and I don't regret buying it whatsoever it is such a presence when you enter my collection room and see those chains and all of his little minions I love this piece I know they've created many different versions so far but this one is my favorite

Awesome statue and love the gory, dirty details! Got the 1st appearance issues for him since I collected the entire Dark Nights Metal series and spin-offs. Glad to see a new villain for Gotham and DC last longer now and Batman seems to get all the famous DC villains, hahah.
I remember asking you if you were going to buy BWL. You were not sure because at that time you were not collecting DC statue, before your purge. Glad you got it, it's the best piece you got so far. He's badass shaming all the other statue in your room.

Austin Lemme True True. Dude was always underrated IMO. I’d put him #3 on my all time artist list after Jim Lee & Todd McFarlane. I’d put Rob Liefeld in there too if he knew how to draw 🦶. 🤣
@@ShadyDBZ4 yes, Marc still draws as well as writes. I've had the honor of working with him about 5 years ago, & I think he likes to keep it at a lower profile. Never felt an air of superstar ego whenever he talked to me. He's style has also evolved into a more detailed approach that I could only describe as a bad-ass combo of his classic comic style and Franklin Booth's signature cross-hatches. His current art style is just so good to look at in black and white.
He's currently working on a special Batman mini-series (I think as a writer-artist) that might come out anytime soon.
My favorite character in years him and Cosmic Ghost Rider

You’re 100% correct. The chains definitely make this entire piece come together. If it had no chains then it would have looked very flat to me.
