Paul Maurice is a class act! He's also brilliant! When he'd done coaching (which I hope isn't for a while) he should be a TV commentator. As for Rod Brind'Amour, love the guy! He's no-nonsense and a winner. Really too bad that one of them has to lose this series.
I had never heard Paul or Rod speak until yesterday. I was not aware of their past history either. No question, they’ve been through a lot together and here they are back together again in a very important play-off series. The FP won in the last minute of the fourth overtime segment. FP is changing hockey and not in a good way. How is Gudas getting away with the dangerous hits he is putting on competing opponents? How is Bennet allowed to be the lethal sniper that he is? I know the whistle gets blown a lot less in the playoffs, but this is ridiculous. Where/when is player safety considered? I am not seeing it. I’m not sure if the FP spend the day of game inhaling nothing but pure oxygen. How do they not look tired. Are they taking Red Bull intravenously? Wanting to win is one thing. Willing it is another. This series is going to get interesting, well it already is. Player safety must be paramount. I hope everyone involved remembers and respects this. God speed to all.
As cool as it would be to see Brind’Amour beat Maurice, I’m happy to see Paul Maurice win a cup this year if it comes to that. The man’s been grinding hard for decades and he really deserves a win this year. Brind’Amour will probably be coaching for a while and Carolina is a strong team. I wouldn’t be surprised if Maurice retired in the next little while. No idea what his contract is at the moment though
It's a cool matchup... Maurice almost won the Cup in Carolina with Rod the Bod playing for him.. later had a great run with him as a member of his coaching staff .. will be an interesting handshake regardless of who wins
I agree 100%. Rod is a great coach already in his career. He was a great player as well. I loved watching him play.
Great respect for his ex-player. Nice
Hes defs a good coach. ❤

Brilliance of 20 year veteran HC Maurice.
Rod is a great coach because he was a great player and a captain. Often that doesnt work, but in his case he understands the player mentality.
Paul was our last coach in Hartford. Class act. GREAT coach.
Us Vancouver Islanders appreciate 🎉
Both are the best coaches currently
If Rod is pretty good as a coach it's because he studied under Coach Mo the Professor...
