The person holding the camera should have said something to the person that was just there putting the cage down....That doesn't make sense why you wouldn't say anything
There wasn't a follow up video. I yelled at the guy and he said stuff like I get paid more than you... like that matters. I then called and reported him and they said they would "deal" with him but I have no idea if anything was done sadly.
This man should be prosecuted and face criminal charges. It looked like the guy didn't say anything he just showed that the bar wasn't secure. I'd wave my arm and yell that something is wrong right when staff approached. Life threatening many ride accidents are
i went on this, i was so scared especially when the guy told me if i do fall then the metal bars are there to catch me, and the restraints are supposed to be like that your basically supposed to hold on for your life 😂😭 which made it even more scarier but as soon as i got off my muscles were hurting and i felt so nauseous and dizzy i could barely eat anything for like a hour but i guess that was my fault for holding on so hard but i don't regret it at all it was super fun looking back and now that i know i rode that ride and survived i could ride any other ride which is one of the best parts of scary rides like these once you're done riding it you feel like you can conquer the world plus when we went back i rode it again 😊
I love going on rides, but it seems that when ever you go on a ride now a days, they employees never fully check it. All they do is tap the bar. That's it!
artist1011000 And I'm always wondering why they need to have belts holding the bars down if they pneumatically lock, anyway. Nobody complained when rides only had basic restraints,; now rides with the same motions have back-ups to the restraints and people complain they're not secure enough.
***** I know all that. My point is: some have a back-up belt, some don't, and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme nor reason which do, and which don't have them. Classic steel-coaster rolling stock (no anti-sub shape to the seats) don't have belts, most inverted (anti-sub shaping to seats) coasters do. Skymaster here obviously does, Freak Out (very similar-looking seats) doesn't.
they should be fined for this. if this happens in my country, they have to lock the attraction, they get a fine, and have to break down the entire atraction.
88Meava88 same we had this ride called hammer and the only thing they had to tie it was a lap belt it had no securaty at all also it made u hit ur head So they took it of and got a fine.
I agree - this is perfectly normal. This might seem dangerous and it's probably not as fancy as a modern restraint system but it gets the job done. It prevents you from falling out and can take a lot of force. This particular restraint swings a good bit and could possibly hurt you when falling back at you. But let me reassure you, that you won't fall out.. Some of the older restraints might be broken, but they usually have 2-5 lock positions, if one breaks there is still enough backup..
I Rode one of these rides, and I was wondering the same thing and he said nope they dont lock, but when he first releases the air brakes, they do lock down. I love this ride
LightingDesk lol it looks like it would be bad but it’s actually not that bad but when you go forward you feel like your gonna fall and this is coming from a ten year old that’s a scaredy cat
I went in to the Calgary stampede and I went in the same spot and I was holding my self in the seat with my hands pushing against the bottom of the bar
I went on this ride at the Melbourne show in Australia a few weeks ago, although it is called something different here but its the exact same ride. I don't know if they did semi lock it because i was in the exact same seat on the left at the front and i could also pull the thick black bars about 3 inches from my chest and i was honestly so scared on that ride. I spent the whole time, tensed up, holding/pressed against anything that would hold my weight. I didn't feel locked in properly, i didn't feel safe. I feel like when you are on this ride, that you are never really on the seat but you are not really held in properly by the bars. I hated every minute of it and honestly was shaking so much from holding on so tight that at one point i couldn't feel my hands anymore. I panicked way too much. I hate this ride. I looked up the ride and its other names and also started ready about many deaths on this ride. Including a young girl who got so frightened when it inclined at the top that is literally pulled her harness off, and climbed through 12 inch bars to plummet to her death. I wouldn't go on this ride again if you payed me. I think they need to tighten the bars, redesign it so you feel like you are held in better atleast because that is an expensive ride and to be honest, youre just paying for your worst nightmare, if you sit in that left seat at the front. My friend who was on the ride with me and sat at the front in the right seat, said it was pretty much the scariest ride she had been on but she didnt feel like i did. Not strapped in enough and like not really having a good time at all. lol Anyway, cool video guys and i felt your pain being on the ride in that seat man lol. Have a good day. :)
The other one was at a fair / carnival-like (Schützenfest) and my restraint opened a few centimetres which should NEVER happen with that particular restraint system. I was still safe because these restraints are fail-safe and secured with different techniques. But it scared me a lot and also caused the cabins status lamp above my restraint to signal the problem. That being said, I ride theme park rides more often than most other people. Accidents and especially restraint failures are VERY rare.
I just went on this ride today at the Playdome in BC. I actually liked it, except when you are upside down and the harness goes into your chest a bit but that was okay too.
This happened to me on the Skymaster. I was in, and it didn't lock all the way. The chest restraint came out about six inches from my chest. I have bruises on my ankles from holding on to the metal. They never even check the chest. The only thing holding me in was the seatbelt connected to the harness. It was terrifying.
There is one, or was, one of these in spain, where there is not harness, just a subjection on your hips, like the coaster Outlaw Run, and it leaves you on the top for a while, hope to see it again someday!
I had a similar experience on a ride just like this one except the ride was called Screamer where if I would have unbuckled my seatbelt attached to the harness it would have just gone back up...
there was a ride called the vortex exactly like this at the Lisbon fair and I rode it like 20 times I was always worried tho when the guy held it up for like 20 seconds lol
I love the sky master I went on it plenty of times in it was fun we went so high that it was cool and I sat in the front of the ride and the front is cool
Though, I'm in Europe and operators seem a little bit more "cautious" and watched closely by law (Especially in Germany). I still experienced 2 restraint failures. One was a serious one in a roller-coaster (non looping), jr. coaster actually. I must have been around 10 at the time and the restraint system broke completly during exiting the station. There was a loud bang and the restraint opened. The seats were closed afterards and the park excused.
Well afterwards I reamed him out pretty hard and almost got in a fight with him and then ended up reporting him to there head office so he may have gotten fired... hopefully.
I had the same problem happen to my dad and sister to the point it wouldn’t lock at all. Luckily they listen to him. Few years later I was on the hang glider ride and they didn’t even strap two kid in. On top of that they didn’t stop the ride when they were screaming and begging them to stop
+WHATSaDavid this same thing happened to me I went on this ride a few weeks ago at my carnival and I almost broke my arm because the operator didn't strap us in good so we (my cousin and I) almost slipped out of the ride
oh my god I am so scare of thunder storm oh my I saw it i said oh god I am going to make a TH-cam channel my channel is brianna carino of thunder storm ok watch it ok guys
that was kind of rude of them to ignore their question but the seatbelts are supposed to lock like that sometimes you get one that locks all the way down and then some of them don't lock all the way down it still keeps you in all the way though I just went on it the other day three times and only once of the three times I rode I got one that went all the way down

I can't believe my friend convinced me into riding this. My biggest fear is heights and I was freaking the hell out the entire time lol.
The first time is horrible but after its not so bad I rode it 4 times and I'm only 11 LMAO
im 7 and i went on it 10 times not scary
I'm 4 and rode it 40 times lolololll
bluddy hell mate my sister is 4 yeas old and I am 8 yeas old get an grip
I went on a ride that looks like this in movieworld (except its without the cage) and it’s not as scary as it seems.
The person holding the camera should have said something to the person that was just there putting the cage down....That doesn't make sense why you wouldn't say anything
read the description.

artist1011000 not where I live THANK GOD they push and pull push and pull 2x then they pull u forwards to make sure ur body won't push it off
when i went on the ride they didn't lock the bar the only think that helped me was the seat belt!

I went in to the Calgary stampede and I went in the same spot and I was holding my self in the seat with my hands pushing against the bottom of the bar
Yeah ride's there and becoming more and more unsafe.

+Skye Harrison and btw its called the kamakaze in melbourne. lol for anyone who wants to avoid this stupid ride. lol
+Skye Harrison it can also be kamacaze in the US too.
Also avoid Carnies named James ;D
WHATSaDavid the same way
Skye Harrison it has a new design and it's still in the same city and it's much safer and really strong harness things and it's now called the bonsai
The one holding the camera sounds like annie mom from bratayley
I've been on that before it was really fun. I rode it tons a times after the first.

It's scary 😂😂
hi lps polarbear
Crazy mouse is class I LOVE IT
lps polarbear lol
I am in love with this ride!!!
I've been on a similar ride but the restraints were a loose belt around you and a small enclosed spot on the ceiling you could actually fall off
Why doesn't it start in such a long time? 😗
I just went on this ride today at the Playdome in BC. I actually liked it, except when you are upside down and the harness goes into your chest a bit but that was okay too.
We had one of those at the fair in Texas where I live, except it was called the Sky Fire =P
Nope.nope.nope.i would die going on that X3
Lol Same xD
Clearly neither of you have never ridden a good ride.. Because this ride isn't scary
I just don't like those types of rides +Davin Drachenberg
My friend told me, " come on the skymaster!!" I thought it was another ride, so I said yes. Turns out, I went on this....
+Lps Wolfywolf I feel so bad for you, was it fun though? xD
I love the sound of rides
This happened to me on the Skymaster. I was in, and it didn't lock all the way. The chest restraint came out about six inches from my chest. I have bruises on my ankles from holding on to the metal. They never even check the chest. The only thing holding me in was the seatbelt connected to the harness. It was terrifying.
I would try to locate someone in charge of the fair, and report the rider operator's attitude!
There is one, or was, one of these in spain, where there is not harness, just a subjection on your hips, like the coaster Outlaw Run, and it leaves you on the top for a while, hope to see it again someday!

🎮 I nearly died on this ride
Stop exaggerating
@@DualShock211404 Soz being a year late but accidents happen on rides like this a lot
there was a ride called the vortex exactly like this at the Lisbon fair and I rode it like 20 times I was always worried tho when the guy held it up for like 20 seconds lol
Like the ring of fire without the ring :)

I love the sky master I went on it plenty of times in it was fun we went so high that it was cool and I sat in the front of the ride and the front is cool
I've been on a ride like that before in the circus circus in Las Vegas with my cousins and it was scary and fun and also disko
ooooooh... I love pendulum rides!
same
is that the same skymaster that was at dreamland margate uk
I went on this ride but it had no shoulder thingy just fuking seatbelts that dont even work and i literally had to hold the roof in order not to fall
The adrenaline! Love that ride! Safe, just if ure harnessed. Lol
Though, I'm in Europe and operators seem a little bit more "cautious" and watched closely by law (Especially in Germany).

Its now called the kamakaze
Skymaster is now called kamakaze
The kamikaze is a smaller version
Frank Ramirez Other way around. The first version of this was Kamikaze, by FarFabrbi & Satori, "Skymaster" is A.R.M.'s equivalent.
Frank Ramirez No, the kamikaze is a taller and bigger version.
Kamakazy is a smaller and quieter version..... at least where I live but they stopped bringing it
I’m claustrophobic, I don’t like getting too close to people, and I’m afraid of heights.
Nightmare all in one
Why didn't u ride the ride recorder
Their at the cuyohoga county fair and I saw the little dragon ride
Well afterwards I reamed him out pretty hard and almost got in a fight with him and then ended up reporting him to there head office so he may have gotten fired... hopefully.
You have patience compared to me. If that was my loved one I would of cracked the operators skull open
I had the same problem happen to my dad and sister to the point it wouldn’t lock at all. Luckily they listen to him. Few years later I was on the hang glider ride and they didn’t even strap two kid in. On top of that they didn’t stop the ride when they were screaming and begging them to stop
I went on this when I was 9 loved it X3
Dang that thing looks fun. Looks like I have another ride on my bucket list...
usually i would moan in the comments saying that it's perfectly safe but this time i can't
It's called the Ranger for me. And there are no shoulder straps just a long metal lap bar for your whole row of people
I went on that every year
It is scary
on the way home now from Chicago but she said she ain't going over there
for some reasson i really like the noise that it makes , LOL it reminds me when i went on :)
is this "ride" at Coney island
Calgary Stampede
I rode that same ride last month but it was called Screamer instead of Skymaster. It was fun and scary at the same time.
how dare you say Calgary stampede that's my hometown? OK do not say it again
Calgary stampede... In my home town, born raised 26 years and still living here. Also mayor Nenshi is an idiot.
+WHATSaDavid this same thing happened to me I went on this ride a few weeks ago at my carnival and I almost broke my arm because the operator didn't strap us in good so we (my cousin and I) almost slipped out of the ride

I was on this on my own when I was 10 years old and I felt sick
Did they survive the Skymaster? I wonder if their life will ever be the same.
Yes they did
where is this
i have never been on it yet, i do like rides that is going upside-down.
where is that
My seat was half locked as well, and i had to hold on for my life!
I held on for dear life man DEAR LIFE
I wanna ride THT I've seen it at the fair and since October is coming up I'm gonna ride if I can
that was kind of rude of them to ignore their question but the seatbelts are supposed to lock like that sometimes you get one that locks all the way down and then some of them don't lock all the way down it still keeps you in all the way though I just went on it the other day three times and only once of the three times I rode I got one that went all the way down
that happend to me on a space loop ride, and they dont feel safe even with a locked bar
I love upside down rides and I'm only 10
Aw hell nah bruh, I would've stood up, stepped out the ride and been like my harness thing is not clicking in like everyone else's
Yo! I just went there TODAY! I WENT ON THAT RIDE 7 TIMES! I LOVE IT!!!!!!!
u watch a video of the ride and ur like it doesnt look THAT bad, then you actually go on the ride and your like O MAH GAWD GIT MEH DA FRIECK AWFF O DIS THANG!!!!
I have been on that twice its scary
However, in your defense I have to say that the operator should have been nicer to you. He should have explained that this is normal and also asked wheter you want to exit the ride for a full refund or wether you just want to change seats.
I went on this last year and I cried then I went on it a second time and then I cried again 😂
here the sky master is called the kamacazi
