I have these in gold. My install was a bit different, I took off the stock pedal set and installed the srp pedals over the bare metal for a cleaner install and better pedal feel. Heel toe is so much easier and pretty much second nature for me. The only downside is the lack of the rubber inserts, so these pedals are slippery when it rains/snows
Be honest love everything you do to your car I just got 2021 sti and if I end up making any changes I will take your build as a model thanks for your channel
Your slipping 🤣🤣. No titanium I am shocked 😳. They look 👀 okay but I like the OEM look. It’s sporty and wears well. Now if Titanium Works comes out with some burnt titanium pedal covers I could’ve tempted to modify. Verus Engineering also has a great heel toe mod for the gas ⛽️ pedal. Have one it is great and customizable.
Any chance for titanium fasteners on these in the future? I think the blue fasteners would look really nice with the new pedals. Looking forward to hear how much you like the new pedals!
You notice any improvements w/ the pedal grip when it's wet out? I swear, just walking into a puddle puts heel-toe out of the question for me, and even operating the clutch can be iffy.
Depends on your shoes. I wear shoes for a decade and most are super worn out haha. But anytime a shoe gets wet, it can be a bit more difficult. In the dry, they gripe very well no matter what shoe you have on.
I can't find an answer as why the pedals are always curved and not just a flat piece of metal with rubber on top, kind of like old cars. Any body know?
@@LuckyCharms777 That's a thought. But, the brake pedal is already higher. typically when I drive, my toes make contact with the same part of the pedals, depending on driving style. With the curved pedals, I have had my shoe slide off the throttle and even the brake sometimes and slide my foot up behind the pedal and get stuck. If the pedal were flat, that would be less likely. I imagine that's why BMW and some others use floor-mounted pedals, which makes more sense.
@@Align700nitro not really. suspended pedals never made much sense to me. the throttle pedal is best bottom mounted and flat, like a BMW pedal. It offers better control. suspended pedal tend to be curved, but my foot ever touches the highest point of the curve. Only with the clutch does my foot round as I engage/disengage, and even that is not most of the time. with the extended, curved pedals, I have to constantly shift my foot and use muscle to pull back my foot. with bottom mounted, my heel rests on the floor.

Congratulations, you actually installed the pedals properly unlike this guy. 🤦♂️

Clean install man. SRP pedals have been in all of my build and will def end up in my subi
C'mon man. You're going to make me sleep on the couch forever. My wife is going to kill me. Awesome vid. Keep it coming.
This channel is underrated
Gonna have to pick up a set of these. One of my biggest issues has been the struggle to heel toe

Not out of the question but I’m ok with the supplied hardware. I don’t want it to stand out too much since I’d rather it blend into the pedal.

9 months later - do you still like them? Would you do anything different like remove the stock pedals down to metal before install?
Still love them and wouldn’t change a thing.
@@Scoobyfreak86 Awesome - thanks! Have 5 Overland pieces come from Jason tomorrow :)
You should get commission :P
Hello. What size self tapping screws did you use on the acceleration?
They were only 1/4" I believe. Although, the kit should have come with the hardware to install.
@@Scoobyfreak86 thanks for the reply. Mine didn’t because I only got the pedal. It came with 2 regular screws for some reason 🤷♂️
How come everytime I come across something worth buying, you already have a vid on it? Thanks from ppl like me
Great minds think alike 👍🏻

I imagine it’s because you’re less likely to catch the edge of the pedal when moving your feet.

if you film how your foot move while pressing down the brake pedal, you will understand it why.
