You should include the URL for the Go Thailand website not just say it once. Either show the URL on screen or include it in the information under the video. Very poor.
Do your own research you good for nothing, stop complaining, or make your own videos lol
Maybe not an instruction what to-do would have been more polite.
The website is clearly displayed at the top of the screen shot, if you spent more time looking and less time whining you might have noticed. What I did not see was the website info for the weather patterns, now that would be nice. Please
It shows it on the screen in his web browser address bar.
"you need this web site"?? What an arrogance, so I unsubscribed!!
Yippee 🥳
Well, if you’re arriving in Thailand as a visitor (on visa exemption), as the vast majority do, you WILL need to use this website. Sorry to see you go.
@@timnewtontoday Isn’t that what I’ve been saying in my own entertaining, biting and disparaging way? 😁
I keep telling you people @thesteveman is the expert on everything in Thailand 🇹🇭
Why don't you listen
😂😂😂😅😅😅

Impressive strike rate of views/subscribers. 😲
I noticed the subs are slowing - is this a case of not much further demand/too much competition?
Any business reaches critical mass. And I’m not shaking things up much - just delivering a similar package every day. And there’s a lot of competition from similar vlogcasters. They are lucky to have lots of staff! If I had staff I would be doing a lot more but I simply don’t have the time.
@@timnewtontoday you're doing just fine Tim!
Used to pay on arrival years ago i thought it was put on flight tickets which should be the way to do it.
There is still a 700b departure tax added to your flight ticket.
What website are you showing which indicates weather patterns there? Thanks
Ventusky
Hardly any rain, again, in Hua Hun. Just heavyish yesterday.
Yes, a light shower every other day or just angel pee. I live a few short miles south of Hua Hin.
Prachuap khiri khan no rain for nearly 18 montjs now ..none so far this year@@terrycolvin775
@@terrycolvin775 Same I'm a few miles South
I don't see why people are up in arms about the ETA. It filters out undesirables at source, so you're effectively pre-cleared to enter and can use the biometric gates. Id rather that than have the TM6 back.
Building inspectors? How can that many properties be built without some Official noticing? $$$
Quite the mystery. I can't imagine how that could happen.
Builders get away with bribery even in countries where that's not the norm, including Australia. It should be no surprise it happens on an even bigger scale in Thailand.
There are also illegally built resorts all over the country. Many ordered to be demolished but still operating.Money talks
TIT?
Will this arrival tax effect people going back to Thailand on a Re-Entry permit? Not an ordinary tourist.
It is for people entering on visa exemptions only
@@timnewtontoday Thanks for the clarification
Whoops. I was referring to the new ETA, not the proposed arrival tax
@timnewtontoday ok, let's wait and see how it will be implemented
I’m loving the shorter format news catchup which I now watch everyday. Thank you.
So, on leaving Thailand to eventually come back (border bounce - first time), you should immediately apply for ETA? Hence , need to stay at least 1 day (depending on what is decided) in country you have travelled into?
I don’t know yet. Nobody does. Remember it’s only for visa exemptions as far as we know atm
It might have an expiry time so you only need to do it once.
Nevermind the website to come to Thailand. Tell us about the escape website!
IT IS easx, buy ticket and leave
What no departure tax oh why dont they have a daily tax oh better still get there residents Thai nationals to pay actual tax
There is currently a 700 baht departure tax
raise it to two thousand baht. if you can not afford it, then to bad.
Not that new... "Bangkok, 21 April, 2021 - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is pleased to announce the launched of the “Entry Thailand” online platform under integrated efforts by related government agencies to facilitate vaccinated international visitors." 🤔 (Source: TAT press release)
you didnt do your front garden summary and weather report at the top of the show, my favourite part
I would have been blown to Cambodia if I stepped outside
😂😂😂
I just looked on the website. No mention if you are arriving on a tourist visa and applying for ETA before you arrive
can’t find that ETA application form anywhere
It doesn’t exist yet. Please listen to the story again.
They've been saying maybe start trials end of October and starting end of December, early January. It won't effect me on yearly visas but hopefully it's not like after covid when you had to buy insurance from the site and book accommodation first as well. Everything was more than double the price when you had to do it then.
@@glen7849 I am 100% sure that won’t be happening. The main purpose, as O see it, is to make the arrival procedure quicker and easier.
Oh its coming. Stepping away from the dollar.
@@endangereddangerous8102 I believe it’s the baht that’s used in Thailand. 😁
I understood that he had a war on other people selling drugs.
COMMENT Tim, the ETA scheme operates in the UK already, we pronounce ETA to rhyme with ‘better’, not each letter.
That’s nice. In Australia it’s a brand of peanut butter
No we don’t 😂
They need to focus on Yaba, a truly vile & pernicious drug in Thailand especially rural Thailand. A rational policy based on actual dangers is needed.
How alcohol is not considered a drug that ruins lives escapes me entirely... Crazy illogical thinking. Pot never causes half the damage booze has.
It's users are no less insufferable.
@@tw25rw As a senior i use it only before bed to sleep better. I am not insufferable in any way. be careful not to generalize and make blanket statements.
@@WendDesaulniers lack of self awareness is a common effect.
@@WendDesaulniers I was going to respond when I first saw your post, but thought better of it. Your use of the word pot made the original comment worse than it may have been intended given the fact that you clarified it by saying that you use it only as a sleep aid. Have you tried ashwagandha or magnesium glycinate? They may also be helpful.
That Thai E visa website was a joke during Covid, I am traveling to Thailand this October and it could be my last visit because I just can't navigate that Thai E visa website. It's way beyond me, plus I no longer have a smartphone. Basically if you don't have a smartphone then you just can't travel to Thailand anymore. I guess it's one good way to limit some tourists,,,,,,,,,,,,,
I am 100% sure they will have a manual way of handling the entry procedures.
ETA plus Entry fee for foreign arrivals...? Why beat around the bush with semantics and not just call it what it really is - a visa.
The new VEV - Visa Exempt Visa
The ETA is an online form. A visa is a permit stamped into one’s passport. See the difference? Oh wait. No you don’t.
Watch it Steve. You’re starting to get boring.
@@timnewtontoday I’ll take that as a compliment. 😁
@@thesteveman Since when do Electronic Visas require "a permit stamped into one’s passport"...? Countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam, Turkey etc require most visitors to obtain a visa in advance in order to enter, but don't need an actual stamp.
You're just being needlessly cantankerous, old timer.
At last !! The TAT appears to have provided something helpful to tourists. 👍 If the new website delivers what appears to be a useful source of information then that is a positive step instead of being the usual overhyped source of PR B.S. it has in the past. I hope they can resist untrustworthy advertisers who will only devalue its customer experience.
I think the TAT have just played a small part as an information provider for the website. More likely tourism ministry or the department of Interior.
Thanks Tim ☔️
In my experience TAT are just bad guessers.
LOL maybe we should stop calling it the south China sea and start correctly referring it to the west Taiwan sea LOL , would solve a lot of issues LOL

It works. Never seen anyone complain about it. What’s your issue?
There's usually about 1000 Chinese tourists queuing. Not worth the effort.

High Tides- it wouldn’t take much to flood your area
It hasn’t. Even the tsunami didn’t cause any damage.
Drugs have a bad affect on families which is true, wait till the casino's open for a whole new wave of troubled families.
While you are certainly correct with both drugs and casinos contributing to the decline and perhaps disintegration of family values worldwide, I would also include the naughty nightlife contributing to the proliferation of “troubled families” in Thailand. Lots of sinful temptations here. No need to add to them.
I believe they will be taking measures to prevent Thais from entering. Hence the social problems will be someone else's.
