He writes the most moving songs I've ever heard and his voice resonates at a frequency that caused me to drop everything and run to my phone to see WHO it was I heard singing on a random Spotify playlist I had on!! He is incredible!!

As a not young person it is so refreshing to see mature dancers who are not PYT. Stunning MV that pushes the boundaries of KPOP/indie music. Woosung has come into his own.

Your reaction is the best one I’ve seen so far. You verbalized what this MV actually is…an emotional experience.
I would like to say that I have listened to Woosung’s previous solo work and I can clearly see his personal growth in this last project.
He is a person that reflects on life (has curiosity of philosophy) and is now expressing his thoughts and feelings about life through his music…besides being a musical genius in my opinion.
I really enjoyed hearing all your thoughts on this incredible MV❤️
    🐺🖤🌹

    Increible y maravilloso Woosung

This is an amazing reaction. Uncomfortable is not a word that I had thought before. But yes, the first time I watched this video, I felt uncomfortable. This MV is amazing, and it lends depth and character to this song. It feels like I held my breath throughout the entire MV.

I interpreted the line “flowers growing out my eyes” to mean that he was dead and buried in the garden and flowers were growing up out of his corpse - it goes along with “find me pushing roses in the garden”.

"89 with Flowers growing out my eyes" means he's dead! It's not rose coloured glasses... He's saying he'll still be waiting even in death!

Whoaaaa wasn't expecting to be so in my feels watching this tonight but ya know... Edit to add: I think it would be very interesting to take a video like this or another one that has some inherent emotion to it, and then put different tracks to it to see how the vibe changes.

Woosung é maravilhoso, as duas músicas e seus mvs são obras de arte. Day That I Die é lindamente triste e a voz do Woosung entrega toda a devida carga emocional necessária, Forget Forever retrata de forma belíssima as lutas internas e conflitos que vivenciamos. A entrada da edm é impactante e realmente não sentimos a duração da música, uma escolha ousada nesses tempos de streamings onde as músicas estão cada vez mais curtas. 🌹❤️🇧🇷

Hello! It’s always fascinating to see how people react to this song. If you’re interested in learning more about its background and the context in which it was written, I’ve shared a psychopop analysis post on Rosarium. I’m happy to share it with you, hoping it adds some interesting insights. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! 😊
Welcome to this first session of psychopop analysis of the mystical and fascinating Kim "Chaos" Woosung.
If, like me, you’re captivated by analyzing human behavior (or you simply enjoy people-watching while sipping on a good cup of coffee), you’ll agree that Woosung is a particularly complex and captivating subject. At first glance, he might seem like a bundle of raw energy, exuding a nonchalant, sometimes even slightly insolent attitude… But beware, my friends! Beneath this chaotic exterior lies a depth as unpredictable as his electric guitar solo in "SHIFT."
So, let’s dive right into the heart of it: my first analysis of the Woosung universe.
The first time you listened to "The Day I Died", admit it, you probably thought it was just a song about an intense breakup, a touch melodramatic. A classic heartbreak story after a monumental argument. Nothing revolutionary, right?
Well, think again. After digging through countless interviews with Woosung (yes, I spent hours analyzing his lyrics and watching interviews while Netflix patiently waited), I came up with a slightly juicier theory: what if this song wasn’t just a post-breakup lament, but a veiled story about his relationship with his mother? Yes, you read that correctly. Let me take you back about fifteen years.
We’re talking about Woosung’s teenage years. In full rebellious mode, he decided to leave the family home after a fight and go live with his grandmother in South Korea. All in the context of a disagreement with his mother. Does that ring a bell?
Flashback: as a teenager, Woosung was passionate about American football. He played for his high school team and nurtured ambitious dreams of a sports career. Picture him on the field, ready to conquer the world with his football helmet in hand, stars in his eyes. But then, destiny-or rather, an injury-had other plans. After surgery, his dreams of being a football star faded away, like a guitar string snapping during a crucial concert.
That’s when everything shifted for him. Frustration, anger, deep disappointment. And who had to bear the brunt of this emotional storm? His mother, of course. And this is where "The Day I Died" takes on a whole new dimension. What if this song was actually expressing his mother’s unspoken feelings? A silent cry of despair and sadness over her son’s decision to leave, perhaps irreparably.
There’s probably nothing more painful for a mother than watching her child leave, fearing that the precious bond between them may never be restored. Maybe, for her, that day felt like a little emotional death.
So, the next time you listen to this song, imagine it from that perspective: an emotional struggle between a heartbroken mother and a son searching for meaning, lost in his own turmoil. It just might add a whole new depth to every note you hear. And I challenge Woosung to prove me wrong…
