Will Brack Or maybe he wants to be a Space Engineer than a Medieval Engineer. Or maybe he just saw a cloud shaped like a bunny. Or maybe he saw THE FUTURE. Or maybe hes just stupid. Doubt it though.
Finally, these Devs are fantastic! its so refreshing to see useful updates to a game rather than an update that breaks the game further or ruins the gameplay :) and the Manipulation tool is a great idea.
that's pretty much what they're doing. due to the nature of space, it would be difficult to make AI there to begin with. the Ai would have to navigate within ships effectively, navigate their ships effectively, taking into account how fast the ship accelerates, decelerates, and turns, and avoid crashing into things- perhaps even the ability to take things out of storage and repair..(imagine space crew or even space pirates doing automated looting runs- fun but complex). at least in Medevil Engineers they can practice on characters that only care where their goal is, since chances are stepping in the wrong spot won't sent them into space in ME.
lol it would be neat if this came out for console and they had the peasant playermodel and capabilities only, cross platform to pc whom can be the builders. much troll. so lol. wow.
It would be awesome if AI astronauts/robots were in space engineers, but they would walk around and find things that needed repairing so that if you were in a battle they would help maintain the reactor room if it started taking damage or something like that.
Chris Mc no, I think they do want him, but as he said on his channel (levitating gamers), he is in the swedish army, and when he gets out, he plans to go work for Keen Software House
You could probably build a simple rope system to pull a cart back and forth between to base's, Use 2 ropes on each side to keep it going in a straight line and so it won't tip over if caught on something it will just pull its self over. Also maybe a fix to having the guy keep going back and trying to pick the same rock up again you could make the rock travel further away from any others, also the box the rock drops in could be a loader for the carts just let it tip over and the rocks fall in to a cart using a pully system. Also my ideas could work in a deep mine by building something like rails for the carts to follow on up and out of a mine and with the rails you could lead them to an elevator if your mine is that deep.
was so funny when the guy started pushing the cart and it shattered and the guy started freaking out and running around XD. they all looked like they had different behaviors to accomplish the goal, which would be interesting to see expanded later.
It would be nice to see it good weather system implemented but to see that the rain would wear down the block, moss, cracks and a overall aging effect. The more they get like this the easier it would become to break them. This idea could also be used in roads becoming muddy and unusable over time, i reference something like spin tires mud system. A well used road would become so bad that it would force players to build stone road's to mines, logging camps and other player's towns or castles. it would give the game a more in-depth realistic feeling and over all amazing atmosphere when playing. The fog looks amazing and they did it well so i think they could give this a really good shot.
i hope tomorrow space engineers will also allow to move objects, that would be especialy useful with moving small ships, or maby even making carts from small ships (that is cargo container with off rotor wheels and artifitcial mass)
Wish first person shooters had that good of foot/obstacle pathing. It would get rid of those stupid moments when trying to walk over something 3 inches tall and getting stuck. Because your character acts as if it is running into a brick wall.
They need to implement some sort of flagging system so the AI disregards the previous rock that was interacted with once it is brought to spawn. These guys seem to get confused when underground quite easily also. Love it though, even early buggy AI is immersive.
Hate to bring this into youtube comments, but when I break my castle, and all the chunks are there, it lags, like really bad lag, it goes away when the pieces stop but I want no lag when I break something, I'm willing to make an upgrade to my pc. Can anyone help?
How much smoother does this game run than Space Engineers? It'd be a shame if I'd have to keep downing the res. every time I play like with Space Engineers.
What if they added ai knights to fight off barbarians! But that would mean they would have to add armor! And shields!! Ooh! What about adding horses! And farm animals!!!
At this point you can obviously tell LSG has been bought out by Keen. 1:00 to 1:17 for example. He talks about how "smoothly" the AI works, but you can very clearly see it's buggy and WIP, which is fine but why would anyone think it's "very smooth" ? It's clear to me that any more updates for SE or ME that LSG covers will be very positive and "very smooth" because he's being payed to say so. Just gonna skip those every tuesday.
i think we didn't understand him correctly. i think he meant that since it's so early and it's the first AI they put out with that purpose (and it's WIP, he said it himself), it works kinda smoothly. why does everyone always assume that if there's something with an even slight chance of looking like it could be biased just jump to the conclusion that they're getting paid?
You realize how stupid that sounds right? You're essentially saying Keen is paying LSG to say "This pen is red!" While holding a blue pen and expecting people not to notice... It'd be one thing if this was an audio podcast from LSG where he said "Everything is working great with no bugs, go out and buy the game" while the game is buggy and unfinished, but this is video....it's transparent...you can't hide blatant lies. Leave the conspiracy bullshit at home and just enjoy the games...jeezey petes.
Urb4n0Ninj4 vuk psodorov ***** Actually, that's exactly what i'm saying. He has been doing this for months ever since he started doing business with KSH. You remember when he got payed to do update videos for them at one point, right? Why shouldn't I be suspicious that he's been bought out, when he's already been in that area before. Every time there is an update for either game, he is always extremely positive about the content, even if it is unnecessary and broken in some cases. It's one thing to fanboy over a game, it's another to have a payed bias regarding the games.
Maybe you're just too pessimistic...because despite the rugged implementation of some things, I'm VERY excited for the stuff they are doing...In part to the fact that they are pulling all this off weekly, with two different games, especially when held in comparison to just about every other early-access game out there...7 days to die, KSP, Day Z, etc etc. As much as I love those games, none of them are; updated consistently, transparent with the updates, and/or good about keeping the community up to date.
Nope, they abandoned it to keep working on Space Engineers. They made the right decision imo, but it still pains me because this game could have been AMAZING. Even worse is all the cool stuff they had in this game never made it over to SE :(.
it's very early in the development, when the game hits full release it will have much better AI. i bet you just fell into here out of nowhere and don't know shit about the game.
vuk psodorov I actually own both games and have a good amount of playtime in both, but this AI update is bs and just a filler update probably because they had nothing else ready to put out that works.
bob d i didn't know that. sorry. and this AI is actually work in progress, which Arron pointed out in the video and i guess they released this because they want to show off what they're working on and so that people could spot glitches or any kind of problem with it so that they can fix it. and so that the update with the finishing bits to the AI isn't as big because the rest is already in the game instead of having to put it in whole. again, this is just my guess.
When the Peasant looks into space for a second he is asking his space engineer gods to give him strength
Will Brack Or maybe he wants to be a Space Engineer than a Medieval Engineer.
Or maybe he just saw a cloud shaped like a bunny.
Or maybe he saw THE FUTURE.
Or maybe hes just stupid.
Doubt it though.
The way those rocks float in front of them remind me of Earthbenders from Avatar...
I thought about make a dodge ball area with it
yep
so true
It actually reminds me of Source engine. (Half-Life 2)
Finally, these Devs are fantastic! its so refreshing to see useful updates to a game rather than an update that breaks the game further or ruins the gameplay :) and the Manipulation tool is a great idea.
hahah. that poor peasant. he realizes that he screwed up, looks in shock, then runs around freaked out
Looks like they're trying to get AIs down packed before putting them in space engineers.
hope so
Smashpop it's a guess because they arent in space engineers yet.
that's pretty much what they're doing. due to the nature of space, it would be difficult to make AI there to begin with. the Ai would have to navigate within ships effectively, navigate their ships effectively, taking into account how fast the ship accelerates, decelerates, and turns, and avoid crashing into things- perhaps even the ability to take things out of storage and repair..(imagine space crew or even space pirates doing automated looting runs- fun but complex). at least in Medevil Engineers they can practice on characters that only care where their goal is, since chances are stepping in the wrong spot won't sent them into space in ME.
damn someone has to make character models for the peasants with Xbone and ps4 on it
"Just don't *limitate* yourselves to the basics of pulling carts" I think it's trying to communicate with us.
Sounds familiar. I wonder from where... xD
Sage be like "Woah, nice ruffs!"
filthy console peasants to do my bidding, best. game. ever.
woolfoma Hehe lul
lol it would be neat if this came out for console and they had the peasant playermodel and capabilities only, cross platform to pc whom can be the builders. much troll. so lol. wow.
Gumby This is PC. We have Mods
Orientalcorn PS4 may get modding too.
G Turpin no
Robbaz is goin have some fun with this one.
they should be able to do all of the tasks you can do in game (minus building independently) except they do it under your command
It would be awesome if AI astronauts/robots were in space engineers, but they would walk around and find things that needed repairing so that if you were in a battle they would help maintain the reactor room if it started taking damage or something like that.
^this is a good idea.
***** lol OH SHIT WE HAVE HIT BY BARBARIAN MISSILE *millions of barbarians explodes from missile"
You seem more excited about the inverse kinematics than anything else in this update!
Once Multiplayer hits in medieval engineers are you going to do a series with you, scott, and sage?
I fucking hope so too
But but, what about Tazoo? :'( You don't want him. Think of all the beautiful destruction he could cause.
Chris Mc
no, I think they do want him, but as he said on his channel (levitating gamers), he is in the swedish army, and when he gets out, he plans to go work for Keen Software House
***** I know, but he wont be working 24hr, he has to have at least one company approved pee break.
Chris Mc
but that still leaves the question of how they would explain his appearances and disappearances in a survival series.
You could probably build a simple rope system to pull a cart back and forth between to base's, Use 2 ropes on each side to keep it going in a straight line and so it won't tip over if caught on something it will just pull its self over. was so funny when the guy started pushing the cart and it shattered and the guy started freaking out and running around XD. they all looked like they had different behaviors to accomplish the goal, which would be interesting to see expanded later.
also, you should have a blueprint system like in SE. Scrolls, maybe. And the peasants can build blueprints if given the materials
Except the peasants would probably be too stupid to know how to read them or what they mean
XD
It would be nice to see it good weather system implemented but to see that the rain would wear down the block, moss, cracks and a overall aging effect. The more they get like this the easier it would become to break them. This idea could also be used in roads becoming muddy and unusable over time, i reference something like spin tires mud system. advancements made in this game are probably going to be ported to space engineers which is awsome.
i hope tomorrow space engineers will also allow to move objects, that would be especialy useful with moving small ships, or maby even making carts from small ships (that is cargo container with off rotor wheels and artifitcial mass)
when do we get this for Space engineers? the foot conforming to the environment is a must.
probably pretty soon, i'd say thursday this week.
that would be amazing,
Wish first person shooters had that good of foot/obstacle pathing. It would get rid of those stupid moments when trying to walk over something 3 inches tall and getting stuck. Because your character acts as if it is running into a brick wall.
Awesome...so cant wait for that grab tool to pop up in SE...
The best medieval game would have quests like skyrim, combat like chivalry, and the mechanics of medieval engineers
"Very Smoothly" LMAO
They need to implement some sort of flagging system so the AI disregards the previous rock that was interacted with once it is brought to spawn. These guys seem to get confused when underground quite easily also. Love it though, even early buggy AI is immersive.
...That image file.
That was splendid. Dost thou hoist, knave?
I hope they add some of those AI's in space engineers so we can have help too!
I am hammered to shit right now and i can't stop laughing at the peasant panicking about the cart!
That peasant at 1:10 is obviously a jedi
A Jedi rock mover, a scared-shitless peasant and a confused rock hauler. What more could you want? XD
Obviously Tazoo went back in time, and cloned himself into the ME bots.
u should get someone to add the abality for peasants to mine stones and rocky hills
Well new AI have jedi powers ? this is going so well !
I love your outro
I'd like to be able to grab things like this in space engineers
Nothing more terrifying than fog in the morning during a siege.
Are they awake?
What are they doing?
Why is it so quiet?
OH SH...! *boom*
Peasants that work, that is new to me :P
Make it so the peasants can build us jenga towers from the wood beams. :)
Then I'll topple it and command them to stack it up again.
we need The object manipulation tool in space engineers
i always love these videos. aaron (spelling) is hilarious
use the force pilgrims, use the force
i'm looking forward to pirate raiders in SE now. can't wait for pirate raid events to attack my station / large / small ships.
I hope in realistic mode you actually have to provide them with food and rest. That would be awesome. Especially if they can revolt!
Will you do more vids o this when a functional survival comes out?
0:10 Wow, that's one fine...
Oh... it's a dude...
With a rock...
I know the game is in early access... but that is hilarious XD
player manipulation tool, not as awesome as in amnesia, but still, im happy to be able to do that, woohoo!
Question to you Laststandgamers, how do we get them in survival where you can't spawn them in?
If peasants use force to lift objects i don't want to meet a knight o_o
Hate to bring this into youtube comments, but when I break my castle, and all the chunks are there, it lags, like really bad lag, it goes away when the pieces stop but I want no lag when I break something, I'm willing to make an upgrade to my pc. Can anyone help?
i would use these peasants to load catapults or something
Holy shit the peasants are Jedi?
How much smoother does this game run than Space Engineers? It'd be a shame if I'd have to keep downing the res. every time I play like with Space Engineers.
What if they added ai knights to fight off barbarians! But that would mean they would have to add armor! And shields!! Ooh! What about adding horses! And farm animals!!!
Jezus that was fast, just saw the video from ME xD
use the force peasants use the force
Everyone run, the peasants are earth benders, see there magical powers
Cat8fish8squid pff thats nothing have you seen what Gordon can pick up with his mind?
I swear I.K. was in the last update

Farm,trade,and build random stuff
Why are there no mods out yet?
there are mods.
Isaiah Barry hardly any. No objects no decorations, in space engineers there are tons of modded blocks.
Slavery in video games...oh god
Imma go chop me a tree!
Some textures are not loading for me does anyone know how to fix this????
Use the crane as wrecking ball
if you hit a support beam it could deal some massive damage
just watch out for miley cirus
The peasants use the force! Arron has enslaved Jedi!!!
sith forever!
ikr
Is medevil engineers still being upgraded
Nope, they abandoned it to keep working on Space Engineers. They made the right decision imo, but it still pains me because this game could have been AMAZING. Even worse is all the cool stuff they had in this game never made it over to SE :(.
I want it so much.... even if I CRACKED the game tho... it would be a pain cos for updates I'd have to change it every tuesdays ;~;
pull the lever kronk
Wrong lever!
nice
Hohn I have a good idea so make a car u have a rock in front of the peasant and he pushes the cart :D
Peasents >:D
Filthy peasants! >:D
Bee are they drunken peasants?
cool
I'm sorry did you say console peasants
they should pull things
they should
I mean like ropes and cars
Hamster wheel
its a shame you couldn't "record" your actions as a "Set Action" to put onto the peasants.
i wonder if the peasants own xboxes
Help Arron men pc is goed genoeg voor de game maar hij maakt het begin scherm niet wat moet ik doen
Alvast bedankt
EARTH BENDERS:D
Glad to see all the peasants complaining in the comments doing something useful for once.

No one cares.
Whats the point of releasing ass backwards shit coded AI.
bob d IMO for people to test in alpha.
