Since having my daughter I've been suffering with postpartum depression, been sick with 2 bladder infections and mastitis, and caring for a newborn. All of which has made it more difficult to care for myself. My husband had to push me to leave the house for the first time bc I was too afraid of someone stealing our baby. He's had to basically pry our daughter out of my arms and tell me to go take care of myself bc I'll spend so much time taking care of our daughter and the house that I neglect myself. My milk supply dropped as a result of being sick and not eating enough. I now understand how depression can really make it difficult to take care of your hygiene and health.
I went through the same thing after my son was born. It helped me a little to remind myself that when I take care of me I take care of him. It does get better. But don’t be afraid to ask for help.
When my younger brother was living with me, he decided my toothbrush and razor was free game to use when he was in a rush. I went through so many toothbrushes and razors during that time. I finally had enough of it. Did a full body shave, brushed my teeth and scrubbed the toilet with the toothbrush at night and went to bed. Woke up, used my hidden toothbrush, got ready for the day and went to work. Came home, saw he used them all again and called him at work. Told him he used the toilet bowl cleaner toothbrush for his mouth and what EXACTLY I shaved with that razor. Apparently he threw up at work and scrubbed his face raw. He never used my toothbrushes and razors after that. 😏😈
You could have just told him you did that without actually doing it. It’s really gross that you made him use the toothbrush you scrubbed the toilet with
I bought a bidet and it changed my LIFE, I HIGHLY recommend them to everyone. I have IBS and used to go through so much tp and always had an irritated butt and now, I am seriously so much more relieved. People really need to get a bidet with so many of these dealing with wiping issues-- they even make cheap bidets that can hook up to warm water too, and when you use it correctly you get so clean and hardly even need tp, it's so amazing. I'll never understand why they aren't more widespread in the US!
Yes!! A bidet is a game changer! I feel dirty without one and can't believe I wasn't using one for so long! As someone with IBS as well, it's a necessity now!
Does it dry that area out at all? I’ve always wondered if bidets would affect sensitive skin negatively or potentially cause diaper rash or things like that??
@@watermalin No, completely the opposite in my experience! I have sensitive skin and am prone to rashes and sweating a lot and I get virtually NONE down there since I started using a bidet three years ago. You just use the water jet for a few seconds (or however long you need to get clean), pat dry with toilet paper when done, and then you're on your way, simple as that! It's MUCH cleaner and keeps bacteria down compared to just using paper on it's own.
I always used wet wipes after tp and I have IBS. My husband and I got a universal cheap bidet hook up at the start of the 2020 tp crisis best thing ever! We bought them for our moms and suggest them all the time. I'm relieved and feel actually clean.
I’m wondering if the poop sock girls have an added layer of childhood neglect or even emotional neglect to the associated mental illness. Like she washes the pee socks and tosses the poop socks. I mean I have adhd with hella sensory overload issues (especially physical stimuli) and I’m ngl I’ve wiped with socks before (just not poop) when I’ve been out of toilet paper because the stimuli of being dirty and having to like get up and go get tp is too much for me to handle. I also have a bit of childhood neglect that causes lots of other really bad hygiene habits that therapy has helped me get under control. But especially her reaction and shame hit a little too close to home with like being neglected and not taught how to care for yourself or not being cared for in that way and then shamed and yelled at for doing it improperly. Idk why but her reaction makes logical sense to me, just a lot of shame and fear
Maybe she and her sister were sexually abused as children and it became painful to use paper? They could’ve just never stopped even as adults after the abuse ended.
Yea but like idk, I also have sensory issues and things I do because of neglect but not in this specific way so I may just not understand but like… if they told me I wouldn’t care as much??? Especially if they usually use their own socks? Like it’s weird and I won’t do it but the using my socks then lying about it and then accusing and blaming me of cheating to avoid blame. Yea no therapy should’ve been sought out before moving in with someone if you have that level of shame and anxiety .
One of the reasons the divorce rates are lower for people who don’t live with their significant others before marriage is because the couples who do this belong to cultures where divorce is a lot less common.
I was thinking that too. If it’s socially looked down on for you to live with someone before marriage, then divorcing is probably also something looked down upon.
Actually, that's not true. The study you're referring to accounted for religious/cultural differences. They think the reasoning is people who live together before marriage see it as a flexible arrangement vs. the people who wait see it as finite.
I just have one thing to disagree about: the withholding intimacy. In the context of this video, I don't personally see how it's manipulative. To withhold kissing/sex from someone who's hygiene is bad, and I don't mean like normal bad, but like...the level of bad that this is isn't manipulative. If someone has really bad hygiene, I'm not going to want to kiss them or fuck them for that matte because whatever they have concocting in/on their body could move to me and get me sick. So I would not until they cleaned up. Looking out for your personal health/hygiene in this context isn't manipulative. Granted, if someones doing it I've something minor than yeah, fuck them that's so manipulative and bad. But in this sense I don't see it as a bad thing. Unless someone can bring something into light I'm missing, then feel free. These are just my thoughts
Yeah its not a bargaining peice. In marriage you're giving something to get something. if hes not giving his end of the deal, she should not have to give to him.
Re: couples who live together before marriage having a higher divorce rate, I've heard speculation that this could be because the type of people who wait until marriage to live together also tend to be the kind of people who don't believe in divorce...
You know I'm kind of getting a theme with the poop ones. A lot of children that are victims of sexual trauma have issues regarding using the bathroom and poop especially. Not wiping or having troubles in the bathroom can be a sign of sexual trauma as a child. Just an extra layer
I was thinking the exact same thing. Especially after hearing the sisters response as well. I dont know why but it made me think of generational trauma.
It’s not “withholding intimacy” or “holding a carrot infront” of him. It’s practicing individual boundaries. I’m not going to sacrifice my personal hygiene and comfort to be polite to a man, even my partner. Im not going to kiss a nasty smelling mouth, or have sex with someone who smells like BO.
And that's insensitive, specially when you add all the other factors from the post, like the weight gain and video game focus. A lot of people - myself included - turn to video games for comfort and relaxation, an escape from reality. If the bf is doing that, it CAN mean something deeper. And if you are with a person, you should be able to communicate that with them, not drop ultimatums for it, specially if its the first time they have been doing so. Communicate it with your partner, and be serious about it. Say that you feel turned off and uninterested, and it *could* be a deal breaker, instead of "clean yourself or no sex" if its something serious, it needs more talk, imo.
@@pachimari3420 there’s a difference between a boundary and an ultimatum. Her boundary is she’s not going to be forced into being intimate with someone - ANYONE - who is that level of unclean. It wouldn’t matter who was in that husband/partner/whatever role, which makes it a boundary. An ultimatum is personal. A boundary is general. Clearly stating your boundaries is good thing. Also, just because someone is depressed, or mentally unwell, or has any other valid reason for such poor personal hygiene, that doesn’t entitle them to physical intimacy anymore than for anyone else. That’s disgusting….on multiple levels. If someone in the husband’s position gets butthurt and thinks the wife is being “insensitive” because she won’t let him use her body when she doesn’t want to then 🤷🏼♀️ too bad. Time to realize that your partner’s feelings are important too.
Ok hear me out! Lol you cannot just wash poop in the laundry period. I cloth diapered both of my kids and the first thing they tell you is to rinse out any solids into the toilet. Poop isn’t water soluble and won’t wash completely out of the machine
i love when justin is on with you. i enjoy the male perspective/opinion & i can tell he is smart. he speaks so well & is so mature! im so obsessed with the podcast. i look forward to every thursday to listen on my way to work! now that it’s summer, i don’t drive to work since school is out & i’ve loved keeping up on youtube ! y’all keep up the great work!!!
Tearing a triangle from the empty cardboard roll to clean your butt is what my cousins and I call the "desperate nacho". Other than that I've tore up a t-shirt for wipes when hiking.
Honestly, I don’t see withholding the sex and intimacy as manipulative, I see it as staying away from something that is gross or uncomfortable, but yes, they definitely need to have a serious talk Edit: where else are you supposed to shave except in the shower
As an RN the story about sharing 1 razor between 3 people absolutely disgusted me!!!! I have seen gangrenous/all kinds of infections from shaving, and it wasn't just one person either!!
@natalie7662 good hun, I'm so glad you got your own!! My lil sis and I used to share a razor, she had MRSA once but it had been a few mos. I used her razor to shave my arm pits, 2 weeks later I had these huge painful deep pockets in my armpits. I ended up hospitalized with MRSA and Cellulitis all the way down to my wrist. If it would have turned into my heart instead of down the arm, I would have died. NEVER use a shared razor, no dull razors, any nicks thru the razor away immediately. My daughter is 10 now and going thru puberty and I can't stress enough how incredibly important this is. Just please be safe hun, death from infection is one of the worst ways to go.
i like how that one lady’s excuse for pooping in the shower is being her immune system is weak, as if poop can’t give you actual diseases like pink eye, hepatitis, and so many more viruses
Not gonna lie, if someone asked me to shave any of my body hair, I would consider dumping them. Obviously it depends on how they go about it, but it confuses me how people think they have the right to do so in the first place. If it was because they weren't attracted to body hair I would say that we just can't be compatible then. I haven't shaved my body since I was in high school, and if I were I would feel really uncomfortable for a multitude of reasons, one of them also being gender dysphoria (I'm trans-masculine). Unless there was a health issue going on or there was something offensive for whatever reason, I would never ask my partner to change how they care for their body. My biggest concern is that my partner is comfortable in their own body. I think they are really attractive as they are, and they have told me the same. Part of that attractiveness comes from looking how we personally want. Maybe my partner and I are just lucky, or maybe this comes with us both being trans and knowing how it feels to be more comfortable looking a certain way. Either way, I think you should go about it from the approach of what makes your partner comfortable. Asking your partner to shave (or not shave) because you like it? That personally rubs me the wrong way.
im not attracted to beards or any form of facial hair, but it also irritates my face. i usually grit my teeth and bear it when I kiss my husband or kiss him lightly so my face isn't connecting with his facial hair, but sometimes i beg him to shave so i can kiss him comfortably. he rarely gives in. i rarely shave my legs and it doesn't bother him, but i feel bad that his facial hair bothers me. idk body hair is a touchy subject, you're absolutely entitled to your body, but sometimes couples make compromises about shaving when they want their partner to feel comfortable.
@@friendlyinternetghost I’m the same. I hate facial hair. I can deal with a little but I don’t like beards or the prickly stubble so my man keeps his face shaven. All he has is a chin strap. I’m not fond on body hair either. He keeps his chest and man area smooth. But I also keep shaved. Now sometimes we both will go a little while without shaving and neither of us is bothered by it but it bothers both of us personally. So we will shave when we get bothered by it. We like keeping our own bodies shaved but we also put more effect into keeping shaved due to knowing the other persons preference. I personally want to accommodate what I know my man prefers and same goes for him. But we are both very clean. He’s not the type of man I have to clean up after in any way. He cleans up every bit of hair from shaving, he picks up after himself, doesn’t leave stuff on the floor, etc.
Yes! I completely agree. For me it's a major red flag if someone has a problem with pubic hair (shaving down there wasn't even a really a thing until a little over 20 years) and it's completely natural to have and is there to protect us
@@ardenlastname8143 I definitely consider it a red flag :) don't get with someone who doesn't suit your preferences, if you want someone who shaves then don't date someone who doesn't and constantly ask them to :P
One of my 4 brothers recently admitted that he hadnt brushed his teeth in SEVEN YEARS because it hurts when he does. Trying to explain to him that they hurt because he hasnt brushed them was like talking to a brick wall. God knows how he managed to get engaged 🤮🤮 My Ma asked how the hell his fiancé could kiss him with a mouth like that, poor girl looked mortified
I’ve been dealing with a lot in my day to day life, so things got put on a back burner. So this has really been my wake up call. I’ve been in a rut, and these stories have woken me up. It’s been 6 days since I brushed my teeth. I’m gonna do better I promise.
I’m a big stickler for communication, but let me tell you. My husband and I were having issues with bickering a lot about different things and one day we decided on a “no gripe policy.” It was a game changer. I’m not the greatest at picking up the house daily(a mix of two kids, depressive cycles, and just general chaoticness) but our house is never gross. Just messy. He knows I will eventually get it fully cleaned(normally once or twice a week) so he doesn’t comment when he comes home and the living room looks like it’s the aftermath of a tornado. I don’t complain when he postpones doing the grass or forgets to do something. We communicate big concerns, but when it comes to the little things, we don’t complain, and things have been great since. 10/10, definitely recommend. Also, amazing episode!! I loved how long it was. Listening to y’all is such an amazing way to wind down after a long day! The weirdness always cracks me up lmao
Ok, maybe I'm just think differently but if you're a germaphobe wouldn't it be better to just use a disposable glove and tissue? I think that would also be cheaper than buying socks. There seems to be a lot going on there that just doesn't add up.
The UPDATE for the guy who leaves crumbs: Basically the guy does wipe but loves to peel off the crusty bits that he misssed and got stuck in his pubic hair. He has been doing it for years. Says it isn’t a medical condition but it’s more similar to his addiction to picking the dirt from underneath his toenails. She told him they wouldn’t have sex until he stopped and also wanted to hire a cleaning service and wanted new bed sheets and utensils. He ultimately agreed to pay for all that but a week later still hadn’t done it and she was considering paying for it herself.
Yeah, it's a hygiene issue! People cut themselves shaving--it happens to the best of us--so spreading bloodborne pathogens is a nonzero risk... plus, when the second razor story was like "it's not like anyone's using it on their face" I was immediately like "they don't know that." I'm AFAB and started discreetly shaving my face when I was 15 years old because I was shamed for having neck hair. Sharing razors is just not a thing you should be doing.
Awh I wish someone had taught me hot to shave :’) I watched a TH-cam video of a mom explaining it to her daughter as a substitute for my own mother teaching me lol
You do realize nose hairs are essential to hygeine, though???? They serve a similar function to eyelashes. They keep dirt and stuff out of your airways. They're literally a filtering system so plucking them is Not ideal. 🙃
I can’t even imagine plucking a nose hair. Those nerves in my nose is enough for me to never want to mess with my nose hair. lmaoooo even with my mustache I don’t go close to my nose
that's punk rock tbh!! I'm sorry your experience was most likely in desperation. I use old tshirt fabric as washable pads because I don't like the thought of plastic pantyliners sitting in the landfill forever. That cotton sock is biodegradable! ❤️
@@helenastephanie9004 it's like a tiny shower for the butt. Either it's installed in the toilet or it's a hand held thing similar to a shower head. It feels amazing
No shade to anyone but when it’s just these two I watch the entire episode. Usually there’s too much random conversation and my impatience makes me skip a lot. But I just love these two lol y’all give me hope for a normal, healthy relationship
The gf pooping on the guys socks story reminded me of this time a family friend used one of my moms expensive white cotton socks to wipe his ass, and when she confronted him about it he said that he "needed comfort", my mom was so furious at the time, but we often look back and laugh about it now lol.
He is so insightful about how you can love the person after a while, it becomes more than what it was before, but at a point that level of bad hygiene will come through and affect things. He explained it very well. They're such a good example of good communication for a couple, I know they know they're being recorded, but you can tell they feel comfortable communicating with each other and it doesn't phase them to say things that others would have trouble saying in a relationship
I’m thinking the guy who gained weight and is super “lazy” has probably formed or fell deeper into a depressive state. There is all the signs there I think OP should sit him down and ask if he’s doing okay
Couple things: All of these stories were cracking me up because nothing even remotely fazes me anymore when it comes to poop and going to the bathroom. People in my life call and ask me about their poop problems because… I have been rollin with no colon for 20 years now. I had multiple surgeries as a teenager to recreate “normal” defecation rather than a permanent ostomy bag. (Ileoanalanastomosis aka j pouch). Because of this, alllllll shame and fear of bathrooms is gone. I don’t have an option to be bothered by it at this point. That being said, the worst thing I have had to use was 3 pad wrappers and the 3 pads I had with me because i had no water, no toilet paper, no nada. It was a rest stop/side of the road emergency. Now I carry extra water bottles, toilet paper, gloves, doggie poop bags and extra plastic grocery sacks everywhere I go. The sock wiping isn’t all that uncommon. I know people who have used socks and have a specific bucket of rags versus toilet paper. They do as other people above have stated And scraped the feces into the toilet first, and have a bucket they fill with bleach to pre treat, and then run the washer on hot with vinegar after washing them. To each their own. To use someone else’s socks though? How many did she really need to use??!
When my now ex husband and I were splitting he started doing really gross stuff just to be an a hole. He wanted the divorce but refused to move out of the apartment so we had to live together for 9 months. Since we weren't having "together time" he really let himself go and would leave poo streaks on his bath towels, the toilet bowl/seat. It was horrible but at least we weren't TOGETHER! GIRL NEEDS TO RUNNNNNNN
i really hate to say this, but sometimes you have to shame people to fix things lol. like being nice about you having shit still on your butt or in the bed or on your boxers is not like a "be nice and hope for the best" situation lol. you start nice, but if it keeps happening you have to get stern about it for them to take it seriously.
I’m very clean hygienically, but I used to be a slob around our house. My very neat husband finally did a deep clean of our new house, then walked me around when I got home from work: “This is how it should stay.” I have since converted to his way of living (locked the slob habits to the curb) and feel so much better.
The only problem with the sock thing is that she used HIS socks without his knowledge and threw them out. She could have talked to him right after it happened, even just lied about what she did to them. Waiting for him to find out was a bad move. But I guess hindsight is 20/20
My first semester of college one of my roommates began using my razor without me knowing. About 3 months in I began to get small extremely painful scabs all over my lady bits and legs. It was so painful I couldn’t leave my bed for days and I broke down sobbing multiple times walking to the zoom care. I ended up having a very severe form of staph infection! Please please don’t use other peoples razors it’s not only risky but also it just makes them duller quicker!
People who get married without living together first are a whole different breed tbh. I don't get it. my partner and I have an agreement, that we need to cohabit for six months or a year, while both employed, before we get married. You need to see how you do when stressed out, with work and errands and groceries and bills, budgeting and all that, while living in the same space. Why anyone would get married before they know if they can actually LIVE with their future spouse is beyond me. Managing a household is not something you can figure out after the fact, all butt picking aside, which is extremely gross.
The only way in wich I would find that acceptable is, when they also live alone after the marriage. Cause of course, you dont HAVE to live together just because you are married. In that case, I wouldnt mind but yeah, otherwise you definetly should live together first cause then you really get to know the partner and the little habbits that can make your blood boil XD
I did it! Just celebrated 14 happy years of marriage, too. We are LDS (“Mormon”) and sex before marriage is a huge no-no. Since we both believe in the teachings of our church, living together didn’t even come up. We both had several (same gender) roommates in college so we were used to sharing spaces, and in husband’s case, some of those roommates were pigs. I’m super lucky that my husband is a fastidiously clean person and that his folks taught him to keep a home. I used to be a procrastinating scatter-brain but learned pretty quickly that that makes everyone miserable, so I shaped up and now am super tidy and organized. It can be learned! But yes, sharing only ONE BATHROOM when we were first married led to some pretty, ah, embarrassing moments. Just because you’re married doesn’t mean you want to share every intimate moment!
Oh, and to answer your question-we talk! We talk about what our hopes and expectations are beforehand, then we learn together. For instance: my rule is: “The toilet lid must always be shut prior to flushing.” My fiancé countered: “Accepted. In turn, drawers and cabinets must be shut after use. Don’t leave them hanging open.” And little (and big) annoyances are worked out as you go. There are things you shouldn’t have to budge on (like not sharing toothbrushes) and things on which you gotta be flexible (like trying new foods or sharing the remote).
When my older sister (17-19 at the time) was living with me we shared a bathroom. Of course we both had our OWN shavers (they were color coded) however everytime I went to use MY razor it would be covered in pubic hair... When I confronted my sister she said "yeah I used your shaver cause it was sharper" .... I told her multiple times not to do that as it was unhygienic and flat out disgusting. She could easily ask our parents to buy her new ones.. she never stopped. I restored to hiding my razor in my room 🤷🏻♀️ On another instance, my sister would dry her hands on MY CLOTHES (we had a bathroom connected to our closet with all our clothes.) Yes, we had clean towels available at the sink. Why would she do this? I never got a clear answer. Her only reasoning was (I wanted to) Last one, (tmi warning) when my sister was a pre teen and had just started her period she would use socks instead of pads cause it was (more comfortable) To my sister, I hope you get help girl 😃💕
I think mental health is a big part of these too. The fact that one guy gained so much weight and his hygiene was going down and all he did was play video games.. makes it sound like something else is going on. For a long time I didn't understand why I didn't do certain things and learned later I was ill. I've had a chronic illness for over 10 years and there was this time period of thinking "i'm just a piece of crap who doesn't do basic shit to survive". I thought that about myself and everyone else thought it about me too. It turns out there was something super wrong with me. A lot of health conditions end up being over looked because people think the person is just lazy. I think there are a lot less lazy people out there than we realize. Just sick people who need either therapy or may have an illness they were unaware of.
Regarding divorce rates between couples who lived together and those who didn’t before marriage, there’s a huge stigma around divorce in religious communities (also a stigma around couples living together before marriage of course) so that is probably an important factor. I’d love to know if they account for that in those studies.
I love the you and Justin episodes! You two are so perfect together and how you talk to each other wish so much respect and understanding it’s so nice to watch 🥰 I also love the other episodes don’t get me wrong girl episodes are also my favorite 😆
I came back to finish this episode and to say I love how open you two are with eachother and this podcast. Makes me feel comfortable to hear subjects some would say are tmi or gross but to normalize it and talk about it. Ngl I thought I was the only one who liked to lay on my bed in a towel after a shower. My mom would say I was drip drying 😂
My younger brother kept of getting foot infection and one day I asked him if he physically washed his feet (like with a loofah or rag) and if he changed his socks often. Turns out he wasn’t doing either. The problem stopped after he started washing himself properly.
the worst AITA i have EVER SEEN was one where some girls boyfriend puked RED WINE IN HER BED so she and her boyfriend slept in her ROOMMATES BED without her permission and even a week later STILL HADNT CHANGED THE RED WINE PUKE SHEETS. THE SMELL
Girl I love you but.... shark week?? I had no idea what you were talking about until you said blood, normalize periods. It is okay to say the word period, it isn't a bad word and using other words goes with it being a taboo subject which it should NOT be, I say period, tampon or whatever to all of my guy friends, my dad, my boyfriend. Girls shouldn't have to sensor periods just because men don't have them
Morgan the more times I watch this show like the more episodes I consume the more it creeps me out because every story you have I feel like I have one exactly like it. If there are a thousand brain types out there we have the same one. A trillion same fucking thing maybe one or two numbers off. Keep rocking dude I love your podcast.
In desperation at a concert with no toilet paper, I found an old receipt in my bag.. I was so grateful for my bottomless pit of old receipts in that moment..
Lol, my husband and I talked about toilet paper a lot when we started dating. He's from a country that always had bidets, and basically religious rules to always do things with your right hand because you spray and then wipe with your left hand. He had to start buying toilet paper when I started coming over, but I also converted him to toilet paper after bidet. I use the bidet now as well, so it's a win-win!
A friend and I were once comparing roommate horror stories and hers WINS hands down to anything I’ve ever heard. Sooo her freshman year of college, she shared a bathroom with 3 other girls. The bathroom for all intents and purposes looked clean, so she couldn’t figure out at first why it always smelled so bad. Until at some point she found a human turd in the trash. They had a roommate meeting and turns out one of the girls had been catching her poop with toilet paper and then throwing it in the trashcan. Apparently she was from rural China and the plumbing there couldn’t handle solid things. So she had no idea she could actually flush the poop. Incredibly awkward and insane. I couldn’t fathom this until the next year when I shared a bathroom with 3 other girls as well and one of them threw their used toilet paper in the trash can.... including the poop toilet paper. The bathroom smelled disgusting and I think we eventually had to talk about it.... or maybe there was an anonymous note left. I can’t remember.
Omg, are you serious? I had no idea that you guys do not threw your used toilet paper in the trash can, I thought everyone did that. I'm from Argentina and here we do it, and I thought it was a normal and common thing, so do you guys flush it instead of throwing it?
@@ldzff1 Yes.... we 100% flush used toilet paper down the toilet. My roommates from the time that I noticed the used toilet paper were from Brazil and Greece so I don’t know who it was. But we definitely flush all toilet paper. The only time you WOULD throw away something we’ve wiped with is like if we ran out of TP and had to use paper towels or like an unflushable wipe. Most baby wipes are flushable though. Whole turds in the trash though is a whole nother level of disgusting.
@@ldzff1 I’m noting this and asking my Colombian boyfriend if I should expect this in public restrooms when I visit. I kinda doubt it with Bogota though.
@@Rosalie1996 yesss! The turd thing was definitely an unacceptable thing, you're right. And about the Colombia thing, I'm not so sure, but I think it's like a 50-50 thing, you have people who flush it and people who won't, although I'm thinking that in pretty much all south america are very much alike and would have the same habit towards toilet paper, I think we go as far as having a bidet and that's it! So probably ask him if you're not so sure of what to expect
I love this podcast Morgan! I listen while I do my housework. Im so happy for you with the quick growth you've gotten. Been with you since around 12k You will get to 100k in no time! 💕
Once I was in Costa Rica and desperately had to poo but we were on a hiking trip where we had to drive a few hours away from the city we were staying and I was definitely not going to make it that long. We managed to find a super run down gas station, but I was desperate so I ran in to go. I only discovered after I was already done that they didn’t have any TP in the bathroom at all. Also no paper towels, tissues, etc. I ended up literally using my underwear to wipe and then I threw them away and went back to the car commando. Honestly, I’d sacrifice my best undies instead of leaving the bathroom with a poopy butt.
I have used one of my sockets while hiking. No shame in it. I buried it and my leaving after. But I had an extra sock in case someone else needed to pop a squat.
This comment was so long ago but incase people don’t know, in most Latin American countries you have to pay for toilet paper before you enter! Usually really cheap just a few pesos but yeah 😅
The weirdest thing I’ve wiped with is the actual cardboard toilet roll because I had nothing else and company was over near the place we kept the toilet rolls.
@@ijwd424 I know how you probably would do it but I dont think it is that comfortable and doesnt clean that well XD But better than not wiping I would say
ABOUT THE STATS ON DIVORCE! I learned this in my sociology class, the reason why people who don't live together before marriage are less likely to divorce is because those people are usually religious. And as you know, religious people don't support divorce. So its not that the marriage is stronger, the marriage is standing on religious beliefs about partnership.
aha! That makes so much sense! I lived with my hubby for years before we got married and bought a house together. We looked at it as a requirement to figure out if we were compatible (make sure we have the same/similar/meshable living standards. You'd think people who lived together prior to marriage would have stronger marriages (cause the couple would use the time to make sure they were compatible and decide if they wanted to marry).
MORGAN - If you’re still struggling with shedding and hair loss the exact same thing happened to me!! I swear I’ve tried a million things. The only thing that helps is rinsing/ spraying/ massaging my hair with Rosemary water. There’s instructions to make it all over the internet. It’s made my hair grow like I didn’t think was possible and my shedding cut down to a third of what it was. Good luck!
I don't think sex is guaranteed or owed in any relationship at any stage. If she is truly not turned on or enjoying intimacy with him, then she should tell him and then not be intimate with him. She's not weaponizing it against him. She really can't handle it.
I go canoeing with my dad and brother since I was fifteen and always with the same company and one of the instructors always says that the best way to test the relationship is going camping together. He literary saw relationship destroyed by building tent. There was screaming and one of them left on the second day.
Camping: “Let’s all be miserable together while living like we’re homeless and waking up sticky and covered in bug bites!” Hee hee. My husband HATES camping and the outdoors in general. I’m not much of a camper, but I’m not totally averse to it. But thinking about me and him camping together is giving my fits of laughter! ANY project that includes cooperation, complex tasks, and patience is bound to get the real colors showing fast!
I swear I'm living my best life listening to reddit stories while doing other things, and the freaking story of the girlfriend socks comes to haunt me back.
My dad used my razor on his face on vacay and idk why 🥲 mines a safety razor so I clean every single piece before putting it away thank god but he asked to use it (a second time but never asked the first time) and I told him I use that on my underarms just today and hadn’t cleaned it yet and he shouldn’t use it and he went to bitch to my mom bc he shaved his face with my razor and my underarms had been on it. Like how can you be mad I used a razor I bought myself on myself 😭
Ive been desperate enough to have to resort to clothing...but I used my old period panties, they were clean but I didn't feel like I was losing much and wasnt ruining anything like socks 🤷♀️ But some of these stories, holy 🤦♀️ Thanks for the laughs, gagging moments and making me feel "normal" and better about my life 😂😂😂😭
The thing about public bathrooms is so true: some people do have accidents (for lack of a better word) and there's some people who purposefully make a mess and are disgusting because 'well somebody has to clean it' and find it funny, they deem people who have that job as less than human tbh
I’ve been the girl in the last situation my then boyfriend of 2 years asked me and honestly it was just something I was never taught to take care of so it wasn’t a huge deal. He approached me when we were having an honest talk and it wasn’t that big of a deal. The guy is not an asshole if he does it respectfully like you guys said. There’s a difference and everyone who called him an asshole just doesn’t get the long term committed relationship part of it.
Yep I agree with you. It’s not wrong to have preferences, idk why people called him an asshole when he was being respectful/just wanted to address it nicely or know why she doesn’t shave etc. Like aren’t u supposed to talk about what u like or don’t like with ur partner.
I personally think he is kind of an asshole. If body hair affect so much the attraction you can feel towards your partner this not only prove you're pretty shallow, but it is YOUR responsability to choose a partner that meet your preference in the first place, don't take a random person that is doing their own thing and ask them to change for you cause "well that's my preference". Expecially if you have a female presenting body, deciding to not shave can put you in uncomfortable situations due to societal expectations, but also having your partner reminding you they are not attracted to your natural self? Nu-uh sir. You're entitled to have a preference, but if it's that important to you make sure to pick a person that is already on board with it, don't try and change someone and potentially damage their self esteem because of your shallow "needs".
There’s literally people who just wipe a few times and think the job is done without checking that the toilet paper is clean. Absolute animals…. Or the people who ball their toilet paper up instead of folding it like a normal person
I’ve definitely wiped with my underwear in a super desperate situation, then just tossed the underwear🫣 but that was in a moment of DESPERATION!! I feel for those girls though, there’s definitely something more there that they’re dealing with.
My hair was thinning horribly due to a health issue. I started adding rosemary essential oil, and tea tree essential oil to both my shampoo and conditioner. It has worked so well for me and my husband. Literally like night and day
Omg your sugaring story sounded so painful! I strongly recommend doing laser hair removal. I did a Brazilian for six sessions and now I barely have hair. To me, its less painful the waxing and I only paid $35 per session (using a Groupon). So much more affordable than waxing or buying razors all the time.
@@INAVACL Oh really? Ahh sorry to hear that. Waxing is a lot more painful to me! To me, the laser just feels like a warm zap. Waxing makes me tear up and I feel red/irritated afterwards. I also like that the laser hair removal is quick & only lasts 10 minutes at the most.
I don't think she needs to take anything from her husband for not keeping up with his hygiene. Seems like he has depression and I have gone through it where I did not shower or brush my teeth for days at a time. She needs to sit down with him before he gets to his video games without judgement and and offer him help. He may need reminders or encouragement. Remind him to brush his teeth and encourage him to shower by maybe offer to shower with him or offer sex after showering. Intimacy is important in a relationship so win win. As far as him wiping his butt, let him know about that and maybe he can use flushable wipes.
Not me starting this video just as I'm about to sugar wax my own legs!!! 😂 But seriously Morgan, I know this video is old so I hope you've given it another chance! It's amazing!
At the begging of quarantine I was having stomach issues, I went to the bathroom so much that my butt started getting irritated with TP. The solution was cleaning with water and soap (game changer) now that’s the only way I do it and I feel truly cleaned. Half of these stories would be solved if they used a bidet or water to clean themselves after

It’s a dark hole. Being dirty increases depression but depression hinders getting clean. It’s very frustrating.
@@ShanaLawson yes it’s a repetitive cycle that’s hard to break

Yep. My motto is, never screw with someone who knows where you keep your toothbrush.

I don’t feel clean if I don’t use my bidet! It’s insane!!!
Honestly this is like the only explanation that makes sense
It is a very good indicator of neglect and mental illness. Which you can develop from neglect.
Maybe she and her sister were sexually abused as children and it became painful to use paper? They could’ve just never stopped even as adults after the abuse ended.
@@lillianaloughlin8629 THIS
Yea but like idk, I also have sensory issues and things I do because of neglect but not in this specific way so I may just not understand but like… if they told me I wouldn’t care as much??? Especially if they usually use their own socks? Like it’s weird and I won’t do it but the using my socks then lying about it and then accusing and blaming me of cheating to avoid blame. Yea no therapy should’ve been sought out before moving in with someone if you have that level of shame and anxiety .
One of the reasons the divorce rates are lower for people who don’t live with their significant others before marriage is because the couples who do this belong to cultures where divorce is a lot less common.
That and it's assumed that if you were raised by such a family that something like butt picking wouldn't be an actual problem
I was thinking that too. If it’s socially looked down on for you to live with someone before marriage, then divorcing is probably also something looked down upon.
Where it’s frowned upon*
Actually, that's not true. The study you're referring to accounted for religious/cultural differences. They think the reasoning is people who live together before marriage see it as a flexible arrangement vs. the people who wait see it as finite.
exactly
Totally agree. If it’s also making them un attracted to their partner, they’re not withholding its more so being not attracted and not wanting to.
Interesting!
Yesss like Mormons or Muslims
Exactly what I thought when they said it. Confounding variable at play there I think.
Or they both fully understand what it takes. My significant other's parents were married 65 years until his father passed. They were not religious.
@alybanana415 just a tiny edit .. muslims do believe in divorce if it is what the couple wants :)
You know I'm kind of getting a theme with the poop ones. A lot of children that are victims of sexual trauma have issues regarding using the bathroom and poop especially. Not wiping or having troubles in the bathroom can be a sign of sexual trauma as a child. Just an extra layer
was thinking the same thing especially the sisters reaction
Yeah maybe for some, but my brother is just gross. He doesn’t flush either.
that would be so sad if that were the case with this story
Yeah, why use his though, that's overstepping boundaries biggg time. But she's definitely having some trauma issues :(
I was thinking the exact same thing.
🙌🙌
That’s what I thought! I don’t know where they got that take from when OP literally stated she didn’t want to be intimate with him anymore

Edit: where else are you supposed to shave except in the shower
As an RN the story about sharing 1 razor between 3 people absolutely disgusted me!!!! I have seen gangrenous/all kinds of infections from shaving, and it wasn't just one person either!!
Hep c! Hiv! So many different things can come from sharing razors. Anything that can cut you should never be shared.
@Natalie you should still not share you can buy a big bag of disposable razors or just not shave
He cleans up every bit of hair from shaving, he picks up after himself, doesn’t leave stuff on the floor, etc.
hair is NOT hygiene. so true
Yes! I completely agree. For me it's a major red flag if someone has a problem with pubic hair (shaving down there wasn't even a really a thing until a little over 20 years) and it's completely natural to have and is there to protect us

When my mom taught me how to shave my legs, she specifically told me never to share my razor with anyone else. Including her!
Even the thought of sharing any thing for hygiene - razor, facecloth, toothbrush- just makes me nauseous.
Exactly!! Same.

All of these stories were cracking me up because nothing even remotely fazes me anymore when it comes to poop and going to the bathroom. People in my life call and ask me about their poop problems because…
I have been rollin with no colon for 20 years now.
Yooo my grandma was born with no colon. She has a poop bag because she can’t control her shits
"Rollin' with no colon" I'm sorry, that's fantastic 🤣
@Al Stewart It truly can be done!! But you have to WANT to change… which is where I think the problem really lies.
Bring back shame
In college I ran out of toilet paper & paper towels so I had to use a Lysol wipe. Would NOT recommend lmao
I’m allergic to Lysol... yikes
Only a dude would do that
@@AnnCooper33 Never underestimate people’s stupidity 😂 I’m sure Tuckers butt was burning for a couple days so he know he did wrong 😂
You could've at least rinsed it out with water a few times before using it lol. That would've been the smartest way to go about it
The only problem with the sock thing is that she used HIS socks without his knowledge and threw them out.
To the guys who don't have chest hair (the last part of the episode), that's also completely normal so don't feel bad if you are a dolphin.
I restored to hiding my razor in my room 🤷🏻♀️
On another instance, my sister would dry her hands on MY CLOTHES (we had a bathroom connected to our closet with all our clothes.) Yes, we had clean towels available at the sink. Why would she do this? I never got a clear answer. Her only reasoning was (I wanted to)
Last one, (tmi warning) when my sister was a pre teen and had just started her period she would use socks instead of pads cause it was (more comfortable)
To my sister,
I hope you get help girl 😃💕
i have loved watching justin just warm up more on camera throughout the episodes. love you two together, so complimentary and very mature.
Awhhh thank you! This is like the nicest couples compliment we've gotten. I immediately sent to him lol ❤️❤️❤️
I love the episodes with Justin you can tell he loves her SO MUCH
The intuitive solution to poop socks lady is disposable GLOVES!!! How the F didn’t she came up with that OBVIOUS solution?
And thicker toilet paper? They make some pretty thick toilet paper that doesn’t tear.
YES, MORGAN!!! I *LOVE* ALL THE 'JIGSAW' REFERENCES!!! If you and Justin watched it together and haven't broken up yet, it's clearly meant-to-be!
Also, the dick clearly isn't the 'George W.'...it's the nickname for the ***BUSH*** getting manscaped every 2-3 weeks.
I'm so glad I had parents to raise me so I wasn't a hygiene nightmare to anyone
the worst AITA i have EVER SEEN was one where some girls boyfriend puked RED WINE IN HER BED so she and her boyfriend slept in her ROOMMATES BED without her permission and even a week later STILL HADNT CHANGED THE RED WINE PUKE SHEETS. THE SMELL
Oh you just know it had soaked into the mattress I can’t 💀
@@jude2032 literally. the girl saw absolutely nothing wrong with what she'd done either
@@Katiesings19 that’s actually mind blowing what on earth. Who raised her?!
I remember that one! And it would've been so easy to wash out if they'd thrown it into the wash(by itself, of course) immediately.
@@jude2032 not even wolves would do that!
i just love how justin talks to morgan and his littlee flirts... maked me happy
Girls shouldn't have to sensor periods just because men don't have them
I was so confused i thought she was talking about actual shark week until she mentioned “red stripe”
I say it for fun haha
i like saying shark week bc that’s how it feels 😂
Morgan the more times I watch this show like the more episodes I consume the more it creeps me out because every story you have I feel like I have one exactly like it. If there are a thousand brain types out there we have the same one. A trillion same fucking thing maybe one or two numbers off. Keep rocking dude I love your podcast.
“You have to tell me now.”
“Well I really want to do a poll….”
“You’re a stander!”
😆😆
I already knew he was a stander bc he was so adamant about people standing. Nobody would do that if they themselves weren't standing. 🤣
In desperation at a concert with no toilet paper, I found an old receipt in my bag.. I was so grateful for my bottomless pit of old receipts in that moment..
I love this podcast, just discovered it on tik tok... and I am obsessed!!!!
This is, without a doubt, the funniest episode y’all have ever had. For that matter, Justin’s reactions sent me over ten times out of ten!
“Let me just run my poop load of laundry real quick” 😂😂 I laughed so hard during that part omg haha
Lmao the George W is a Bush reference 🤣 idk how morgan missed that.
@@ldzff1 Oh that’s going to be an interesting conversation 😂😂😂
I love this podcast Morgan! I listen while I do my housework.
Im so happy for you with the quick growth you've gotten. Been with you since around 12k
You will get to 100k in no time! 💕
Thank you so much for the support! Eek I hope so I want a little plaque thingy
Super off topic, but morgan omg they way justin looks at you with so much love is so beautiful, I'm rooting for ya'll till the end of time.
Justin’s absolute devastation over these stories is killing me 😂
The weirdest thing I’ve wiped with is the actual cardboard toilet roll because I had nothing else and company was over near the place we kept the toilet rolls.
I don't even know how one would go about doing it 😩 desperate times desperate measures I guess
@@ijwd424 I know how you probably would do it but I dont think it is that comfortable and doesnt clean that well XD But better than not wiping I would say
Ahhh it's so painful but I can't deny it I mean when you really have too you have too so yeah
I’ve had to use the seat covers before! 🤦🏽♀️😩😩
Almost two hours????? 😍 thank you
Made my little heart so happy!
I go canoeing with my dad and brother since I was fifteen and always with the same company and one of the instructors always says that the best way to test the relationship is going camping together. He literary saw relationship destroyed by building tent. There was screaming and one of them left on the second day.
Camping: “Let’s all be miserable together while living like we’re homeless and waking up sticky and covered in bug bites!”
Hee hee. My husband HATES camping and the outdoors in general. I’m not much of a camper, but I’m not totally averse to it. But thinking about me and him camping together is giving my fits of laughter! ANY project that includes cooperation, complex tasks, and patience is bound to get the real colors showing fast!
I’ve used like napkins on road trips or camping. But in the house, like with a stomach bug or weirdness, I just jumped into the shower.
The amount of people who poop in the shower but won't spend $30 for a bidet on Amazon 🤦♀️
If my fiance did any of the things mentioned today I would todally call him out ASAP
I swear I'm living my best life listening to reddit stories while doing other things, and the freaking story of the girlfriend socks comes to haunt me back.
Love this podcast, I’ve listened to every episode in on week. Now I need more!!
I liked the puns that the one OP used
“Cha cha” (like you guys said cha cha real smooth)
And his George W. (Bush)
I really appreciate Justin’s cleaning method for his beard hair- as a former maid and the child of a plumber, highest awards go to his efforts 🎉
Ive been desperate enough to have to resort to clothing...but I used my old period panties, they were clean but I didn't feel like I was losing much and wasnt ruining anything like socks 🤷♀️
But some of these stories, holy 🤦♀️
Thanks for the laughs, gagging moments and making me feel "normal" and better about my life 😂😂😂😭
The thing about public bathrooms is so true: some people do have accidents (for lack of a better word) and there's some people who purposefully make a mess and are disgusting because 'well somebody has to clean it' and find it funny, they deem people who have that job as less than human tbh
@@manjotb888 you’re suppose to sometimes it’s hard not to have hurt feelings but still honest conversations are important
@@hopesmiles2012 yep I agree
This is my plan! I just messed up and didn’t do it this past winter. But come fall I’ll be lazering away 🙈
ive tried laser hair removal and it was way too painful for me, x50 times more painful than waxing :C
@@INAVACL Oh really? Ahh sorry to hear that. Waxing is a lot more painful to me! To me, the laser just feels like a warm zap. Waxing makes me tear up and I feel red/irritated afterwards. I also like that the laser hair removal is quick & only lasts 10 minutes at the most.
i’ve literally never been told anything about not sharing razors so I didn’t realize that was such a big deal till I watched this episode 😬
