Picture this: a stretch of rugged cliffs kissing the Ligurian Sea, adorned with vibrant villages that cling to the hillsides like a collection of watercolor paintings.
You find yourself immersed in the enchanting world of Cinque Terre - a string of five villages, located halfway between the tourist towns of Pisa and Portofino, and tucked away on Italy's rugged northwest coast.
These five colorful villages-Vernazza, Corniglia, Monterosso al Mare, Riomaggiore, and Manarola-have a rich history, originating as humble fishing and agricultural settlements.
Over the centuries, the resilient residents of the area crafted the iconic terraced landscapes we see today, navigating the challenges of the rugged terrain to create a harmonious coexistence between man and nature.

Thanks for watching. We visited in Sept 2022 and the crowds weren't too bad. I've also been in November and it's very nice at that time, no crowds at all.
