Rivian has unveiled the second generation of their 2025 R1T and R1S, and they are more impressive than ever. While the exterior might look familiar, there’s a whole new level of performance and technology under the hood.
The hardware improvements include Rivian’s new zonal electrical architecture and advanced battery options that offer up to 420 miles of range. The interiors have been upgraded with premium materials, an electrochromatic glass roof, and a completely revamped infotainment system.
The new R1T and R1S perform exceptionally both on the road and off, thanks to their powerful new motors and advanced suspension systems. These electric adventure vehicles are set to redefine what’s possible with features like the dual motor setup delivering 533 horsepower and the quad motor setup cranking out 1025 horsepower. The updated battery packs offer a range of options, from the standard lithium iron phosphate pack to the impressive max pack with 420 miles of range.

The second-generation models also boast significant improvements in autonomous driving capabilities, with 11 high-resolution cameras and advanced Nvidia SOCs providing the computational power needed for real-time data processing.

@@Bobby-King3 as prospective owners, yes, hope to get prices down, as investor, oh man, we already lost a lot due to huge cash loss with -50000$ gross margin per vehicles, so no more price down lol
@@user-oc2ld9cv3y haha I know where you are coming from - I am a stock holder too. But my original post was about overtime getting the cost down. Meaning a long term effort, so that the company can be more profitable in the long run. These prices puts these great vehicles in a very small market that will quickly become saturated. Once they can get both factories producing vehicles I’m hopeful with economy of scale they can make these cheaper and more profitable! A win for both the shareholders and consumers!

“Ferrari has expensive cars. Why can’t I afford them? Whaaaaaaa!” - not everything is built and made for every budget. Stick to cars you can afford. I can’t buy a Ferrari but I’m not crying about it. I can definitely afford a Rivian, though.

People definitely care. It’s just a long process to get these to a reasonable price to build and purchase. It’s still a long road ahead, but there’s a ton of interest for this company. The addressable market over seas is huge as well.
R1S is outselling Model X by a huge margin.
@@TroySavary huge margin? lol RIvian loses 48000 dollars per vehicles they sold. this is -50% gross margin. In fact, Tesla had positive gross margin since 2010. btw I am Rivian stock investor,, putting 75k there :(
