Hi I recently bought a Segway Ninebot Max G30, and unfortunately it has a gen 1 motor. I want to know if I can flash the custom firmware to retain my speed even at low battery. I am on the latest official firmware (Master Control: 1.8.7, BLE: 1.1.8, and BMS: 1.7.4.0). Please help me a little bit here. Thanks

@@carbrickscity it does not work! They have locked the scooter for region change and flashing with their new update

If that's the case then too bad then...not sure if that's permanent or not.

@@sebastiankarlsson6871 Using STLink. You need to take out the controller, cut out the circuit board from that protective resin then solder STLink cables into board’s connectors. Using STLink software you can then downgrade the latest manufacture’s firmware. After that you can use whatever scooter hacking app to update again. Needless to say the ninebot app should be deleted and never used again.

DO NOT ROLLBACK YOUR SOFTWARE ON NEW 2022 NINEBOT G30! i HAVE BRICKED MY SCOOTER. EDIT: IF you bricked your scooter, read comments below to find solution that worked for me.

@@carbrickscity Simply won't turn on. I have since learned that the new 2022 controllers can't be back dated and you cant't connect a st-link to them either. Be really carefull with the new versions. Wish someone warned me.

To be fair, any time you try to install custom firmwares there are always risks. I mentioned in the video and also put a disclaimer in the description. Kinda like buying stocks, there are always risk and people should know it beforehand. If people still decide to do this after knowing the risks, then it's their own responsibilities.

@@carbrickscity I am not blaming anyone. I am merely giving them the warning I never had. It is better to get the word out and warn the owners of the new models, otherwise they will 100% brick their scooters. This is more like a bad bet than a bad stock! Get the word out, if this can save one owner from a bricked scooter it is more than worth it don't you think? If it was my video I would of included this information immediately. Then I would of found a solution and post the first english video on how to get all the bricked scooters working again.

Sure you are free to post a video of your own. I didn't experience this so I cannot post any information regarding that. I cannot post things that I do not experience myself. My point is, installing any custom firmware has risks. Doesn't even matter what model you have. If you screw up one of the settings, you could still brick your scooter. Hence I have mentioned in the video and in the description that do it at your own risk and make people aware of it before doing it.
