I have a Model 1906 that my grandfather gave to me in 1965. It was in mint condition then and I have kept it that way ever since. I love shooting this rifle and it has been a joy to own and shoots like a dream. Love it!
Just came across one of these. Seems to be missing part of the magazine ie the inner tube and spring. Been looking but not sure what exactly I have or don't have. Would you be able to help me out?
I have a model 90 LONG in super nice shape (safe queen) but it won't feed ammo from the magazine. I suspect its the lifter spring is weak. You talk about it here from the 17 to 18 minute time frame. How strong should that be? Mine has tension but I'm not sure it's enough. How do you tell?
BFP. Do you blue rifles as a hobby or customers? I have a model 90 that needs to be blued. It also has a problem . It just recently stopped loading the last round. Are you interested in discussing? John
My comment didn't post... dang. Well my 1906 from the year 1911 won't cycle a round from the mag to the carrier to the chamber and then out. The bullet stays in the mag. It will cycle a bullet all the way through if I hold the trigger down the entire time weirdly enough. I don't get it... from your video it doesn't look like I am missing anything from the carrier and the extractor looks good I think. No idea what to do!

So mine has a broken carrier. I found a new one. When I go to change it I just need to pull the take down screw and bushing out correct?
14:13 at this point?
On my firing pin assembly , the screws to get it out have no heads on them. Is there a way I can send you a pic or video to show you?
On newer guns, the firing pin screws were actually pins. You just punch them out from the underside up.
my barrel is shot out is there a replacement.
