Original? We've already seen a similar concept with that Sandra Bullock film from 2 years ago - The Lost City.
The premise is very similar to this one - a book writer gets into trouble cause of the book she wrote. Was the story written by the same guy?

Erm romancing the stone is the original and FAR SUPERIOR than the lost city which was a joke. It might be made in the eighties but its full and rich

Two international action films you should watch out for this year James are: “One Percenter” a Japanese martial arts action film about an action star stuck on a factory island shooting his dream action film when it gets invaded by rival yakuza mobs looking for a cocaine stash.
And the other one is “KILL” a Hindi action film about two army commandos fighting off a 40-strong gang of blade-wielding bandits on a train bound for New Delhi. The film debuted at a lot of film fests last year and while it has no promotional material out there, it has INSANELY high praise with many regarding it as the next The Raid.
So just a heads up watch out for these two.

Do you really think movies are woke now but weren't in the past? I find this criticism sooo fucking weird lol. Esp considering woke has lost all meaning to the point it just means "stuff conservatives don't like", ya know?
Like... if you think about it, old movies are also woke but nobody talks about that. Alien vs predator is woke. Rambo is woke. Or OMFG, the original Star Wars movies are EXTREMELY woke but nobody criticizes those movies the way people do current movies.
I really don't think any movies these days are explicitly woke, I just think they're bad. Not because of the "woke" content but rather because of how poorly its handled. There are plenty of current movies that don't get called woke, but actually are and simply handled the themes well.
So why do people like old woke Star Wars movies but accuse the new ones of being woke, even though content-wise, they're actually far less woke than the originals? The new ones aren't woke simply because black people get to be lead characters, or the MC is a woman...
Do you know what I mean?
You should look up "Pillar of Garbage Wokespotting" and watch that video. It's not very long and I think you'd find it interesting and I'm curious what you'd think of it.
Can you give me an example of a couple movies that you think are woke?

Why would that be a deal breaker for you? A few throw away lines would ruin a movie for you?
It seems to me like people's threshold for hearing any "political" messages they don't agree with has gone WAAAAY down compared to the past.
Especially when considering how extremely woke the original Star Wars movies were, but nobody really talks about that.
Sorry I don't mean to offend you. I just find this whole phenomenon soooo weird, and i'm trying to get to the bottom of it.
