very old video i know, but i was wondering if you had made one for the side lights..just checked my haynes and pdf manual for disconnecting the side light connectors and thery both say different things to remove them..is the connector actually n the back of the bulb or as the haynes says further down the wire ?
if you look at the bike head on in the top left and right corner on the light unit you should have a sidelight or parking light depending where your from..on your switch gear you should have 3 settings ..off side lights and main beam..manual shows them for taking the nose cone off and they are on the parts listing websites..little rubber fitment you can see just close to the bolt you undo to take the top closing panel off either side
zippysworld Thank you for the reply, I ride at night and my low beam does not have any range, but my high beams blind oncoming traffic, maybe these will help. Hopefully the extra wattage does not load the system very much. The P43T must be the OEM configuration for the prongs then, I noticed they were drop in without modification. I just did some checking and I think the US Market uses "the special Honda 45/45w bulb uses a "PX43t" base" checked my bike I have the US Spec PX43t 65-Degree base.
I don't know how important it is not too, but I always try to avoid it, just working on the theory that you would leave a print which could cause a heat spot when the light is on.
wouldn't surprise me if someones been messing with bulbs or bulb wattage. For the price of a set of bulbs Id buy 2 new bulbs put hem in (using vid, lol) and see if thats better.
Brilliant.. Saved me a total flaff having to read the manual 😊
Thanks for the guide. I had a go at the bulb on my VTR 1000.....struggled, but this has helped me out.

wevsky hiya, I have to admit to being confused by 'sidelights' only the 2 main bulbs on mine??

wevsky I'm sorry to say I don't have this blade any more so can't check!
I have since sold my blade and. Got a gsxr 1000 so its not a worry any more 🏍
Zippy, what is the P/N for the Bulbs? How many watts are the bulbs? I found a 35W px43t base version? do they make a 45W version?
Morning zmelli, i believe the part number for the osrams was OSR64193NR1-02B, and they were a 60/55w.

Nothing like a simple explanation lol, hope you can see where your going soon. RSMF!
Can you touch the bulb glass with your bare fingers ?

No,thank you for showing me things on my 16 year old bike I've never seen. One of my Hlights is much brighter than the other and I'm concerned.
