    The story about the guys cleaning an oil spill and other hazards with the orders about breaks on specific times: To answer your question KCC, they were specifically ordered to get an exemption from the supervisors, and since the plant manager wasn't a supervisor, there wasn't anything they could do. If the plant manager gave permission, then the company would've gone after the cleaners for not following policy. Heck, the company tried writing the workers up FOR following the policy because the supervisors were acting like fools.

    Hey, C-PTSD sufferer here. I just want to say I really appreciate this channel and especially, these long compilation vids. I have to listen to stuff most of every day to avoid audio triggers. These also help keep my mind from drifting into things i should only think about in certain circumstances. Thanks

    Military paralegal here. For the airman in Afghanistan, as far as can he be officially and formally punished for disobedience towards the tech sergeant, the short answer is yes.
    However, the actual process of this is kinda complicated and it would have to be one of the airman's commanders that actually gives that punishment.
    Based on the situation surrounding the "willful disobedience," I highly doubt that any commander in their right mind would impose any punishment on the airman and would instead probably choose to reprimand the Tech Sergeant.

    Gordon Ramsey, a man whose name can make or break a restaurant, has said it himself; you treat your dishwasher better than you do the chef. In his restaurants the dishwashers and busboys make more than everyone else on staff other than the manager and head chef. Anyone can be a waiter or host, not everyone can deal with the crap a busboy or dishwasher has to deal with on an average day and they MAKE your restaurant. If you have good dishwasher/busboys your restaurant will function smoothly even with crappy waiters and hosts.

    I suspect the hazardous material cleanup team is a smaller group contracted for that job. So the plant manager may not have the authority to tell employees that are not his to continue working.
    Love CCM.
    Keep up the good work.

    1:45:20 you know, if someone went off on me for “shoot me an email” for five whole minutes, I’d wait til they’d finished, pause for a couple seconds, then say “so anyway, shoot me an email.” And I would try to innocuously insert even more “violent” words into everything I said.
    Words are words. Get over it.

    They reduced the size of the floppies from 5.25" to 3.5" and now they are down to MICRO-SD's :)
    About the H&S cleanup...the plant manager is not over the H&S department as they are basically floaters so he could not override the immediate S&H supervisors orders.
    About the generator...OP had standing orders to keep the communications up from a much higher authority (command) than the NCO having a hissy fit...OP did their job.
    About the dress code..."I'm following the dress code to a T" "I am also NOT wearing shorts under my kilt in case you're wondering" :)
    About the calculator phone...Teacher claims it's a phone...I would have handed it to her an said "Make a call...if you can't then it's NOT a phone...just a calculator."

    19:10 a better lesson is if youre breaking the law dont call the police and report yourself because someone doesnt want to help you break the law XD
    2:09:50 theres an expansion on the story of the fall out. he lost basically everything and the new girl broke up with him because he cheated on her as well.
    2:24:27 op was written up for following policy, they should have challenged it because theres no way HR would have let that stand since there wasnt a chance in hell they would have won in court.

    The Amazon one is funny to me especially. He's lucky he got 2 different ride a longs in 2 different weeks. When I started in 2020 I didn't even get that I went through the video training and showed up for my first day and was given a van a route and told here you go have fun. Now we give people a 2hr ride a long and then they get their route the next day their scheduled and told to call dispatch if they have any questions. 😊

    First story reminds me of internet cable guy comming to connect my house, telling me it's a 2 persons job and to make another appointment before he leaves. I got an e-mail telling me I was not presert for my appointment ( multiple people were present ) and it would be marked on my file. Next appointment in over 10 days. No Internet during that time.
    I was PISSED. The boss was not amused when I contacted the company, and the next morning they connected the cables.

    The carbon removal one. Plain and simple. Its a union shop. Even the plant manager can not go against the union supervisors with out serious blow back. Been there done that. It almost caused a strike because they couldn't make up their minds as to what was more important, following the rules or cleaning up the hazmat spill which closed down and evacuated the plant. Idiot on a fork lift was hotroding in the plant while moving 3-5 gallon cans of powdered chromium. Dumped 2 of the cans which split and sent the powder everywhere.

    IMO for the generator one wouldn’t keeping contact with HQ override what the commanders on site say? Since as far as I know that connection could be a matter of life and death for both soldiers and civilians in the area.

    • @Nempo13
      @Nempo13 ปีที่แล้ว

      You would think but ignoring a command, even if ignoring it is common sense, can get you court martialed. So you say "Yes, sir." Keep records, and prepare to throw the commander under the bus when shit hits the fan.

    • @Alrapter
      @Alrapter ปีที่แล้ว

    the baptism school story, I remember listening to it the first time, and just like then the times proposed by the OP for the running and walking of the mile annoy me. I ran track from middle school to college, so keep in mind that the following response is just a runner's annoyed rant at perceived inconsistencies. My first middle school race I ran the mile is less than 10 minutes. Heck, my SIX year old can run a mile in that amount of time, so I don't know what OP is talking about with 'an event that should have taken 10 to 20 minutes' because no, it should take maybe 7 to 12 minutes for a group that is actually trying to win. And taking that long to walk a mile? I can't conceive an able bodied person taking much more than 30 minutes to walk a mile. Even walking slowly while talking to your school mate during gym class it should take about 25 minutes on a track. OP clearly has bad timing sense and either a) was doing more of a petty revenge than a malicious compliance by going that slow *(edit)* *and kinda punishing themselves by going that slow* or b) has no idea how long these things actually take and just made up the story.

    • @Snipez5546
      @Snipez5546 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      To be fair to OP, she never said she was in good shape or anything. So she could have been very out of shape, or have asthma, or something else causing her to go significantly slower
