I love these videos so much. It's great to hear you talk on these subjects vice just watching someone open packs every single day (I mean some days is still fun). I totally agree with Chris the temptation to open your sealed product is always there, but I like to make very decisive purchases of either this is for an investment, or this is for opening for my own enjoyment. There is definitely room for both, and for me at least it's how I get the most enjoyment out of the hobby as a whole.

Great video and great advice. If you talk about liquidity, you need to talk about cost to sell because how you liquidate/cost to sell significantly impacts your return. There is no exchange that recognizes a liquid cash price for Pokémon cards and products like that of public stocks, commodities and certain derivatives. People assume cost to sell is near zero and when they attempt to sell, they are often shocked about cost to sell. Cheers!

If you haven’t done this already, why not make a TH-cam poll for your viewers to see where everyone is in terms of experience in Pokémon collecting (beginner/intermediate/advanced/etc)? This way you can get a good idea of where your viewers are in terms of collecting and you could even make videos based off the results! Just a thought! Keep the good videos rolling bro!

Paldean fates will be cheap to buy. And has shinies. Should be fun for you to open!
booster box is just a higher price point for entry into sealed investing but ultimately is the best value for size. liquidity is so important tho.

It's got great depth of chase cards, lots of illustration rares. And 2 big chases in the iono and Magikarp 👌
I think the part people need to remember is the part in the video pertaining to liquifying assets without cutting the price of the product. Sometimes people have these amazing collections but realistically 85 would take months to be able to sell all their collectables. Great content.

@@pokeoz91 I agree. I agree the best option will always be sealed booster boxes because you know they will sell quicker than other products.
With the Team Up example, do you reckon the difference between booster box and blister sales could be in part due to more investors actually holding onto and listing boxes than blisters, as they're more profitable per unit? I'd like to collect products at a range of price points so I'm not putting all my eggs in one basket hoping for big returns from bb's only!

Hi everyone, I’ve just started out collecting for my two daughters as an investment. Maybe it’s just the way I’m wired but I really struggle with the quantities of different boxes out there and what to get first😩😩Great film though, it helps a lot.

Hey Pokeoz! I was just wondering if whether i should get a unified minds bb, or brillint stars, lost origin, fusion strike and chilling reign. Which would be worth more in the furture? Also, i enjoyed your video where you talked about how much you think swsh bbs are gonna be worth in 2 and 5 years, would you consider doing one for sun and moon booster boxes?
I can definitely do the same for sun and moon era. You can get a few boxes for the price of 1 unified minds hey!
All great sets! I'd grab chilling reign while it's still obtainable (by that I mean sold out in stores but still a decent supply) - has every sign this will be the next big set in SW/SH behind evolving skies. I just picked up my 5th box this week.
I decided to start collecting Pokémon cards for my little boy @ start of 2024 & I have no idea (clearly) I chose to collect Paradox Rift Cards,
• Should I keep the packs in plastic or crack them ?

As a new player or returning after 20+ years I've began to collect again what would be your best recommended packs to open going forward for 2024? I'm completely lost. I started with paldea evolved and 151,

I am wanting to buy a set for my son for his birthday. He is going to open it but I am hoping once he’s older it can be worth something for him. I was looking at the 151 ultra premium or crown zenith. Do you have any suggestions

Celebrations is still at a good price point. The Hits have just been graded into oblivion, which hurts it a bit.
I would really like to see advice on items to invest in designed on budget levels. For example: what would be good to investing if you had $50 a month to invest. Then $500, then $1,000. Lots of different product to focus on for each level. Someone investing $1,000 per month, would not be looking at $5 cards, where the $50 per month would.

i suppose the question is, how does one determine the depth if the set without opening boxes and noting down the hit rates on new sets.
I think it's always best to wait a few months (at least) before buying a box. They'll likely come down anyway.

I think it’s tough I’m in the position where I’m happy with my investments but it’s so hard there’s new products everywhere it’s crazy you can’t actually keep up I agree

Team Up has had some meteoric growth, the most we've seen in the last 10 years out of any set. It'll go down as a great set and still grow but is there another set that would gain quicker!?

In terms of liquidity, there will come a point where the price of the sealed boxes starts to shoot up. At this point I can see thousands of people thinking, now is the time to sell my stored boxes. Is it possible/ probable that this glut of product re emerging onto the market place will stall sales and send the price back down? I only wonder as the practice of buying and storing sealed product seems so much more prevalent than before.
I may be overthinking this. Just can see LOR reaching $400 and 10000 people suddenly deciding to sell up
There's a bit of unknown territory hey. But most people open boxes and collect and play with the cards. I'm not too concerned 👌

@@pokeoz91 Okay but even if you are very healthy you never know if you die in the next days so why should you hold back for 10-20 years cards to hope to get a millionaire just because people did this with the base set ? You never know if there is war.. you never know if pokemon company crashes and no one likes them anymore Its better to make money day by day or week by week then maybe have money leaning behind you but dying in the next time....

Screw poke invest. This should be a hobby. I'm tired of buying $100+ cards just to finish a masterset. Go buy stocks or sth if you want big money.
I mean the same happens in Dragonball Super and One piece. The chase cards cost money...
What other hobbies can you do where the money you put in can actually grow? For me I’m having fun with the cards but it also feels good knowing 20 years from now I could turn a profit too!
