I'm happy to hear you have an attorney. All renters need to start holding these landlords accountable for their shoddy practices. I've had multiple problems with properties too. It's not okay to treat human beings this way. Heat is a necessity, even in the desert. The store is looking great, Danni. Great job! ❤️
In the Chicago, Tenants have lots of rights (as they should) and landlords have to tread lightly (as they should.)
@@janetkorsak, I had my share of problems in the Chicagoland area too. Heat in Chicago is usually quickly resolved, as AC is here in the SW, but not always. We do have renters rights, but unless you're in a property overseen by a housing authority, it can take awhile to get relief. It can get quite costly in legal fees too. Plumbing seems to be another issue that landlords are lax about. It's really a shame, and it needs to change. Renters pay extremely high prices to live in a residence. 😔

Of course one would use their pillow shams. Just like one uses the dust ruffle that comes with the bed set. When you make your bed in the morning you want it to look magazine good in case someone looks in your room.

For your glass cabinet w/o shelves, put tall items in there -- like blow molds or tall swung vases or hi-light your clothes by putting an outfit in there. This is all while your waiting for your shelves to come in or get made.
It’s good to see your store almost ready for opening. It is wise to get someone who knows the pricing of thrift stores helping you. Noah is mature for his age. I think he will be helping you a lot and probably follow your steps.

For me I prefer clothing to be all one price- blouses all the same, skirts all the same price,etc. It really slows me down to have to ponder different prices and actually it is annoying. It saves a lot of time getting clothing out on the racks also.
My favorite thrift store in Ft. Worth, TX does this. Berry Good Buys. It benefits a women’s shelter. Check them out.
It also keeps the clothing moving along so there is room for new merchandise.
This store also has a different category at 1/2 price every day. It saves time and really creates more sales.

I loved the clear candle holder. I don’t think there is a second one. With it holding three candles. Would be just a beautiful center piece on dining table. Very sophisticated looking. On your last video. The end was very thoughtful. I lost my sister to Covid right before Christmas in 2020 and my father in law last December. It has been a rough few years at the Christmas season. There are so many people who suffer with depression and holidays can be hard. As always, just love you.

You may have shared your frustrations, fears, concerns about the home. A few pictures but never it's location, the owners, the realtor/property manager you used to find the home. Sadly it's really not a house that should be a rental. When everything is electronic, RUN.. Another informative video Danni. How they have treated you and your children is deplorable.
I find pillow shams useful for me since I typically have 4 or more pillows on my bed. Making the bed has a more finished look to it by using the shams. 🛌
@27.50 the red wedges are physical therapy/myofascial body wedges. Expensive! I paid $85 for mine about 15 years ago. If I still lived in the US, I'd definitely buy those from you. But definitely a specialty item.

Even though I've been a florist for 40+ years, I don't like the artificial flower scents.
I love the the ones that smell like food, or real Christmas trees.
I only have one comforter set that came with pillow shams. And yes whenever I use that comforter I use the pillow shams.
The vinyl triangular wedges are something that my chiropractor uses. My pelvis is twisted so he’ll put one under one hip to help straighten me out
The 3 candle holder, I would have bought. Just one of those would have been beautiful.

Cyd in MD. How about this for the display case with no shelves. OUTFIT OF THE WEEK/Month. Draw from items in the shop to show how you can put together a great outfit for very little. Yes you would need a mannequin. Bridal during wedding season? Spooky during Halloween? Summer fun? Winter Cozy? It could be fun to do.
Awesome idea! Really fun for a fashionista employee to put together every week or so. And highlighted items often "sell themselves" when people see how to wear them or use them as accessories. 😁🌟

Holy moly Danny. What a lot of work for your store. In my 20’s and 30’s I was an owner, operator and importer of a rare and exotic plant nursery. So, much, work, 24/7, 365 days of the year. I never miss getting out of that nightmare. I preferred working for a boss and then going home to let someone else take the heat of management and finances. I wish all of you the very, very best. That's a little scary that people have put the time in to track down the address. It sounds a little obsessive, and makes me wonder if they have also tracked down where you live. Do you ever get people showing up at your house?

I would pick up the single candelabras; in today's smaller rooms, smaller tables, 3 candles might be enough...or someone has 1 and needs the second! Measure the drawer space in that spool cabinet and find a wicker basket that fits! Water colored with food coloring dresses those maple syrup bottles up very nicely--esp red and blue, 1 clear for patriotic holidays! I would have gotten the wood puzzle and given it to the kids to put together! I was so afraid Noah was sick when I saw that ICU caption! The store is looking great!

I know what you mean by the cheap ceramics. I have found a few adorable mugs but I know if I put it in the microwave, the cup will get super hot and the liquid inside will stay cold

That big empty glass cabinet with no shelves? If any of the glass opens like a door top to bottom you can put a skinny mannequin in it or something I once did was dressed a female upper 1/2 body (a torso I guess you could call it) I got it all gussied up in an evening gown and jewelry etc. Of course, she had no legs, so I grabbed a plant stand and set the torso right on it under the dress! It was a balancing act, but it stayed, and we changed her cloths every 10 days. We used that cabinet with no shelves for lots of things, small narrow furniture, hanging lamps, floor lamps, actually you would be surprised what will fit in it! However, one door has to open the full length of the cabinet! Can ya tell this old lady used to do windows back in the day! Wish I could still do it, it was so much fun! Hope this all does well for you and may Angeles be around you! You are Brave!

If you go to Google on your Android or I phone you see the microphone and little camera emojis. Touch the camera it will take a picture of what ever you need to know anything about. It immediately hooks you up to the ability to answer questions you didn't know. Time saving feature I can not believe it has been there all along while. Great feature. 👍

The shelf less cabinet would make a nice vignette space. Place a small chair with a throw scarf, handbag draped and a . pair of shoes on the floor or hat and gloves on chair . A flower pot or holiday item spilling out of a gift box on the floor
