Hi Charles, I'm assuming you mean the Roll Up 28 motor with the embedded Li-Ion battery? if so, there is a couple of ways to make the motor "sleep", probably the easiest after you have programmed the motor and set the limits...........press and hold the button on the motor head (the older ones is a large flat button, the newer ones there is a small hole and you'll need a paperclip to poke into this), so, press and hold this button until the motor jogs up and down once, relaes the button as soon as this happens, then give the same button one brief press and if it works, the motor will do one more jog and the motor is now sleeping. when you're done, to wake the motor up again, one quick press on this button will wake it up and to confirm it will do another little jog. Hope this helps, but give me a shout if not and we'll try the other method. Good luck
@@SoloBlinds at the moment I m having issues just getting the blind to pair with the controller, pressing the programme button at the end of the process does not work. I’m not sure which model the blinds are, they are brand new, with a grey button contoured to match the housing. It seems to have remembered its limits, but doesn’t remember the Situo 5 RTS pure 11 controller
Charles Newall Charles Newall Hi Charles, the newer motors are slightly different in the programming, when you have set all the limits and you confirm them with a press and hold of the “my” button first for 1 jog, the next bit is the different bit, the instructions will tell you to press and hold the button on the back until you get 1 jog, however, this doesn’t work, what you actually need to do on the button on the back of the remote is 2 quick clicks, this will give you the confirmation jog and confirm all the settings 👍🏻
@@SoloBlinds Thank you soooooo much!!!! We’ve had our motorized solar shades for THREE years and could not get them programmed to the single remote. Customer service on the telephone was useless. Hi I have a telis 16 RTS remote for 5 bay window blinds. The blinds have Sonesse 40 RTS motors. Could you walk me through the process of setting these. I would like to have each Blind assigned to it's own individual channel and all blinds operating on a sixth channel. Thanks for any help u can give
Hi Pat, no problem at all, if you use the video as a guide. First most important step would be to make sure all the blinds are turned off and only power up the first blind you're working on. Select channel one and using the guide, program the blind; sync to channel 1 and set the limits, making sure you confirm all at the end (MY button for 1 jog, then button on the back for 1 jog), then turn off this blind and turn on blind number 2. Making sure you're on channel number 2, repeat the above; then isolate this one and move onto blind 3.....keep going like this until all blinds are set on their own channel, turn on all the blinds and check they are all operating as they should on their own channel (1-5), now to add them all to channel 6.......select channel 1, then press and hold the button on the back of the remote for 1 jog, then select channel 6 and press the button on the back fro 1 jog. This has added channel 1 to channel 6......now select channel 2, button on the back for 1 jog then select channel 6, button on the back for 1 jog....This has also added channel 2 to channel 6....repeat this process for the remaining 3 channels (3,4 & 5) and you're all done. Hope this is all ok, but if you get stuck, e-mail me you're number and I can talk you through it andy.ward@soloblinds.co.uk
@@SoloBlinds Hi Andy. Thanks so much for your reply. I didn't try your tips yet as I'm not due back to that house until some stage next week. When i was there yesterday basically some of the blinds I could set top and bottom limits and more I could not. Also channel 4 worked blind 1as well as 4. I think I need to erase everything and start from scratch. I tried resetting to factory settings using the 4 10 4 seconds method but this did not work either. Would it be possible for you to give me a call Andy on 087 7504501 and maybe we can swap numbers and I could possibly call you back when I'm on site at the blinds. I really appreciate your help and time. If you could solve this for me I would forever be indebted to you. Kind regards Andy. Pat Hennessy. hennessypat72@gmail.com
Hi Cathal, indeed you can have as many remotes or channels controlling the same blind or group of blinds, to do this take the existing remote on the correct channel for the blind you want another remote on, press the button on the back of the remote and hold until you get 1 jog, then take the new remote and press the programming button on the back until you get 1 jog, you should now be able to operate the blind with either remote 👍🏻
Hi, thanks for the tutorial, , I did everything as mentioned but my Somfi Telis Mod/Var T1 doesn't react at all when pushing MY+UP at once. Nothing happens. I have 8 external blinds with 4 Telis T1 (3x one channel and 1x 5 channels) and except 1, controlled by single channel remote, I disconnected all of them, beyond Soliris Slim RTS Receiver (it looks like Receivers still work while motors don't move) So stpes I done: 3-8-3 reset, then factory reset by holding pin on back of the remote. Then I checked if blind moves in proper direction when pressing up/down buttons. Then I set lowest point, and then I press MY+UP....and nothing happens. Any idea what the problem could be? Battery in remote is new, fresh. I know I didn't disconnect motors most probably correctly, I am aware that I should disconnect them not beyond Soliris but before Soliris. But that should not cause an issue to programming of completely connected blind. I just wanted to test if the programming works and if it would, I would do it once again, and properly disconnect. For info, I have all blind motors on 1 circuit breaker.
Hi Martin, it sounds like the motor may not have been reset correctly, when you do the 3-8-3 reset (although I reccomend doing 6-6-6-) you the blind should do 1 jog to confirm this part. if this happens you then need to press the button on the back of the remote and hold it until you see 2 jogs from the motor, this will reset everything, if you only wait for 1 jog, this only removes all remotes but still keeps the limits set, so it's give it all another go and make sure you get 1 jog after the power switching on and off and then 2 jogs holding the button on the back of the remote.
@@SoloBlinds Thank you! However no matter what I do, UP+MY doesn't work. I have been able to reset 6-6-6 and after longer press of back button finally I got 2 jogs of the motor (i didn't work after 1st, 2nd, 3rd try, but finally it worked. It looks like motor still keeps lowest and highest position. So here is what I exaclty did - but could it be that I cannot reset to factory setting because it was already reset so additional tries have no effect? 1) 666 reset 2) longer press of back button which returned 2 jogs 3) Assigning remote to motor (could it be that since I disconnected other motors beyond the Soliris receiver, that I am actually assigning remote to all motors - there is a click sound on motors disconnected so it is clear that Soliris are still connected although motor is disconnected) 4) By pressing down arrow I set the blind to lowest possition 5) Here I press UP+MY at once, but nothing happens. 6) End :( What am I doing wrong? Whole setup is from year 2010 +/- 1 year. I am going to give it one more try, if it fails, I will jup out of the window and will become Somfy owner a nightmare :D Update: it looks like that that my motors for "Z" blinds don't require to set lowest and highest possition. Maybe they have some auto-stop. I suspect that that's why MY+UP dosn't work. Either I finally set 1 blind/remote, since it goes as it should be (I took remote from different room so it shouldn't work) or there is something wrong. I don't know, I will now try to set other blinds and see.
@@embeathome1 Hi Martin, I'm not sure what's happening here, if you're getting the single jog after the 666 and 2 after the back button on the remote, the motor should be fully reset. Just a couple of things to chek, do you know the exact model of motor you have? also, what are you trying to do in the end, are you just wanting to change the limits? add/remove remotes or change the direction of the motors, if I know this we may be able to achieve this without the need for a full reset
@@SoloBlinds Hi, the initial problem was that one motor lost it's setup/memory and didn't react on remote at all (5 channel remote controlling 4 blinds - each channel controlling 1 blind + 5th channel controls all 4 at once). The reason for loosing memory of the motor was multiple electricity loss in house due to short circuit caused by garden lights. I didn't realize that all shutters are on 1 circuit breaker and I did 3-8-3 reset. And you can imagine...all the troubles started. 1 channel controlled all blinds in house - I have total 8 blinds and 5 remotes. Motors are: J406WT (serial number looks to be 1210335A J1C12201053056. Then there is Soliris Mod/Var Slim Receiver RTS Plug, Ref 1810802 C210/1817. It looks like I am setting lowest possition by either holding Down button or pressing it so it reaches desired possition. Then I press UP+MY and....nothing happens. And that is the end, no further action. Since I messed it compeletely in the beginning, I am trying to set/programm each remote to its motor. It seems that I managed 1, but when I added it to TaHoma, all works fine for this 1 blind, however, there is no Fine moving of the blind, there is just UP and DOWN button and in the middle there is MY button in Tahoma, and if I press MY button in Tahoma either in PC or Phone, it sends blinds completely down and then it slighly opens the shutter. So it acts like Down button. If the blind is down and I hit MY button, nothing happens.
@@embeathome1 I'm a little stumped on this one, you may need to get a local blind company to pop out for a look, one thing may be is the type of motor, to be sure I'd need to know which one it is (e.g sonesse 40, sonnesse 30 and if they are an RTS or WT motor, I dont recognise the "J406WT" you mentioned, but ending in "WT" suggests it's a hard wired motor without the RTS unit built into it, if this is the case, there will be an RTS reciever somewhere to take commands from the remote and the fact that they are keeping their limits would also support this as this type of motors limits are changed by small hex sockets on the end of the motor. If you could identify the model of the motor it would help alot, as above, something like sonnese 40, altus 50 or something like that
