I really appreciate the mention of scrupulosity. As a pastor it's gotta be hard to preach a message that convicts the lukewarm but doesn't terrify the obsessive, so I think that distinction is important.

Is 1 Corinthians 5:11 referring to people who are in the same congregation/attend the same church, or does it apply to friends in different churches/denominations?

Your friend's sister isn't a guy. She is a female. Calling her a guy or referring to her as a he is a lie. Words matter. The truth matters. Being honest with someone is more loving than affirming their delusion.
