It is very apparent the efforts of Ric Ocasek in production and arrangements and what great friends you became with the leader of The Cars! This reminds me of Ric’s solo 1997 album “Troublizing”
Dude. Thought this was an actual new album and I was ecstatic that it sounded so much like the Blue Album and Pinkerton albums! I was stoked and sure their "new" fans were confused by this genuine weezer. And I just mean i miss the Blue Album and Pinkerton days plus all those b-sides that were the same.
I also rate Blue and Pinkerton highly, but Green album is up there with it's emotions :O Crab, Glorious Day and Simple Pages are easily one of their best songs IMO. 🙂
I really love the song GHOST from this album, but cannot find this song anywhere on youtube to listen to by itself! Was it ever used in another song? Under a different title maybe? I'd love to find it and add it to my playlist to listen to!
The melody for ghost is actually used on Weezer’s song Byzantine! Which although is a bit more poppy and overproduced than it’s demo (ghost), it’s still pretty good and def one of my favs from The Black Album.

Its fascinating to me how people take the same demo songs rearrange them with different cover art and call it all kinds of things. Basically everyone is trying to make their own perfect weezer album but they just rearrange all the same demos order ROFL. Its like if i was to arrange the pepperonis on a pizza differently then the guy standing next to me is its placement really going change the pizza significantly.
