It’s hard to imagine how they look after so many orchids successfully, it’s mind boggling. Then there’s the sales area, how can anyone go there and not come home with a mountain of new plants. Can’t wait to see what you bought.
That makes me smile, thank you so much! But so sad that you cannot get your plants so easily anymore! Even though it helps by not getting way to much plants, I understand LOL... For me it helps that it is a very, very long drive to go there. So I probably will only visit them once a year...
🤗🤗Wow! Orchid heaven…..I saw so many orchids I would like. My mind boggles at the logistics of growing, maintaining, selling and movements of so many orchids. How big is this place? 🌼💕
We have a few , very large ones, but I do not live close by (luckily LOL). But I needed to go too one at least one time in my life right? :D Probably next year again :P
Wow! What a huge nursery. Would love to go there!!! Too bad for me that they are "gespecialiseerd" in Oncidiums. Imagine all of these would be Cattleya species hahaha. Then again... it's not like I have room for any more plants...
Woooow such a huge place! Guess they are wholesalers right? Thanks for sharing! If they are not wholesalers, I will have to go there ;-) I just realized they are only 38 min by drive away where we parked out car in Amsterdam ( on vacation right now)
Mind boggling, I wish I could be there, I have seen your haul, amazing plants, amazing prices as well 😮. Do I understand you correctly, they had an open day and they’re normally not open to the public? Thanks for sharing the video👍🏼.
From time to time they are open at Saturday mornings I believe. But not sure. You can always email them. Very nice people and always willing to help! Btw, since you from the Netherlands, maybe you want to join the Facebook group "Orchideeën vrienden". I am on that group and it is a very nice and friendly group of growers. That is how I did get invited for the open house. Let me know if you join in, I will say Hello then! LOL :D
My husband is still not over the shock when he saw all those new plants I did come home with LOL.. so I will wait a while before I start talking about a bigger greenhouse :P
I do believe that they have species that they use for making there own hybrids. But agree, not a nursery but it is more like an orchid factory 😂… I was overwhelmed, so many and beautiful plants! And in such a good condition.
@@TheOrchidSaGa That's because everything is automated with minimum staff needed. Unfortunately the Netherlands have very few real orchid nurseries left. Most are like these factories or Online Orchid Supermarkets with overpriced plants because they buy them in from other nurseries abroad. I'm not a fan of these consumer hybrids, but more of a species person and I'm very careful where and from whom I buy so I get pure species. I've had plants delivered that were supposed to be species but were not by some of these supermarkets over the years.
a nursery is anywhere where plants are propagated and grown for sale. Just because you think it means it should be species specific, that isn't the case.
No need to look down on them because it’s not your preference. I see plenty I would love to have, maybe I will visit them the next time since I live in the Netherlands. You might be interested in Wubben Orchids, he grows over 4000 species of orchids, also in the Netherlands, I visit them this year and the owner is a lovely man. He has several private greenhouses where he gave me a grand tour for hours, it’s not standard though.
@@liverocks62 I know Wubben but since he's far away, I live in Belgium, it's been years since I visited him. What I don't like is not the hybrids specific but the mass production for super market sales. I don't know what he paid per plant but they sell them wholesale for 1 to 1.50 €. This destroys the good orchid trade. It also are these factories that can bring in diseases like fusarium into your collection as these are bred for temporary ornamental use only.
Blimey, that's orchid production on an industrial scale. Thank you for sharing!
How glorious. Thanks for sharing.
Omg!! I've heard about the growing operations in the Netherlands but this is so much more than expected...wow!! Thank you!
Your welcome and thank you for watching! :D

And so cheap! I will talk about the prices tomorrow when I do my haul video. I didn’t know where to look first and last 😂 so many plants!
Wow such a big place I've never been to one as well so it was nice to see must have there work cut out looking after all them orchids great video 👍
It was amazing to be there. Such a great experience! I barley had time to talk to people 😂 just look, and look and look at all those plants! :D
Amazing. 💚
Sea of Oncidiums in blooms?! OMG! It is amazing. I cannot bring any in UK anymore, I am safe now....😁🤣
Thanks for sharing! Really enjoy your videos!😊😍

Unfortunatelly, it's our reality these days.
Keep show us your beautiful orchids!😊

I have no idea how big it actually is but is BIG 😂 I didn’t know where to look first and last, so, so many plants! :D
Wow, that was amazing! Oncidium alliance heaven! I've never seen that many Oncidium blooms at once! Thanks so much for sharing. Did you buy anything?
The colors where spectacular! Overwhelming, I found a few beauties! I will upload my haul video tomorrow! :D
Nice! We don’t have any orchid nursery here…

I am lucky that I do not live nearby LOL, so many beautiful plants! Do you grow only species?
@@TheOrchidSaGa I feel you. A nursery like that is DANGEROUS!
I don't only grow species but my collection is focussed mainly on them.

I had the time off my life! 😂

This is a mass-production of hybrids for the supermarket. No species to be found so I won't call that an orchid nursery.
