तुम्हाला माहितीये का? मूग, उडीद, ढेंचा, ताग, शेवरी वगैरे अशी काही खास पिकं आहेत जी उत्पन्नासाठी नाही तर मातीची सुपिकता वाढवण्यासाठी खत म्हणून उगवली जातात. मातीतील सेंद्रिय कर्ब वाढवण्यासाठी महत्त्वाचं ठरणाऱ्या हिरवळीच्या खताविषयी आणि हे खत शेतात उगवून इतर पिकांचं भरघोस उत्पादन घेणाऱ्या एका शेतकऱ्याविषयी या व्हिडीओतून जाणून घेऊयात.
Green manure (Hirvaliche Khat) - A scientific low-cost, home solution to drastically improve soil health, fertility and prosperity. Every farmer knows that prosperity in terms of livelihood and income is impossible without working on soil fertility. Green manure is a means of doing just that.
In this video with English subtitles, learn how to create green manure from crops like dhaincha (prickly sesban), taag (sunhemp), shevri (common sesban), cluster beans (gawar), cowpea (chawli), and more. Due to their dicot nature, these crops have nitrogen-fixing bacteria on their roots. When these crops are cut and mixed with the soil, this bacteria rapidly improves soil organic carbon. As a result, the soil nutrition value increases and in turn, the number of micro-organisms in it also increase. The soil become healthy, nutritious and fertile, and helps increase crop yields manifold.
Several farmers have already benefitted vastly from growing green manure within their own farms. One such farmer is Mr. Subhash Sharma from Tiwasa village, Yavatmal district, Vidarbha.
