erdazz well you can say that or you can look at it from the other side. Farmer paid load of money for planting maize and it is expensive crop to grow. So without that maize silage he can't feed cows so he can't make his money. Don't worry about the field because they gonna be ploughed and leveled next spring. Those people doing what they have to so you can have food on the table.
I don't see how agitating wet soil would destroy it's structure. Now, use of conventional fertilisers and pesticides does destroys it's structure by killing the microbes and earthworm populations responsible for it. So this its probably the least of their problems.
Painful to watch, soil damage which will last for years, and then to add insult to injury the tractors and trailers reverse up onto the maise pit to unload and add mud to the maise in the pit as a nice final touch. Just painful to watch.
Take those blasted weights off the front linkage... 😁 it's neither wonder they're bogging out! And get a massey on the job..... If it ain't red leave her in the shed!

@Mr. Sunshine uhhhh, ok ill take your word for it buddy,( ive litterally done side by side comparisons in America, in a contest between triples, duals, very wide singles and twin track systems, the results show that basically the more tires you have the better of you are, with the twin tracked tractors obviously coming in forst on dry dirt. Trust me even pizza cutter duals are better than fatty singles atleast for traction and pulling power.
