    Thank you for tutorial. Was wondering if you could show how to make it with two fabrics to make it stronger and reversible.

    I have made more than a dozen of these now, and they work great! They fit right on the arms of the self check out space and hold more than the bags the stores provide. They were also a great way to use up some left-over fabric. Thanks so much for this video!

    while i love the pattern and it's simplicity, am very curious as to what kind of cloth you used, why you didn't use a liner, why you didn't use any kind of interfacing, or do any kind of top stitching. bc your bag while cute, looks unfinished, and something like child's first project. it's the details that matter. Not to mention i can't imagine that it would hold to up to much more that a loaf of bread or maybe some fruit from the farmer's market. it wouldn't take any effort at all to cut out a third piece of interfacing and increase the pattern 1/4'' to allow for an extra top stitch. or even do a french stitch to it. bc if you're going to be carrying you're groceries home you really do need that extra strength, and most peoplle don't have a surger.

    • @TheFabricPatch
      @TheFabricPatch  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could certainly do that. You can make it as fancy as you like. The point was to have a fast project. It does hold quite a bit. Far more than a loaf of bread. If you don’t have a serger a rolled hem is quick. It’s not unfinished.

    • @marytramp5678
      @marytramp5678 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TheFabricPatch i wasn't saying it would only hold a loaf of bread. i was saying tha the strength of it would only hold a loaf of bread or fruit. unless of coarse you were using a heavy duty canvas or webbing of some sort. if you were to put more than that say any can goods after a few uses it would rip, if not the first time and all your hard work would be for nothing. and you would be left with nohing lef with scrap material.
