    And thank YOU for sharing this great mini-documantary. The Chord Mojo 2 is my most beloved factor in my setup.

    This was really interesting! Please make more of this kind of content from American and European manufacturers. There are a number of companies making hifi and head-fi audio gear in Europe, especially in Eastern Europe in countries like Poland and Serbia. The newer, smaller manufacturers are more interesting than the larger established companies in countries like France and Germany. In the States there are companies in New York and California, among others. I have opted to not name-drop any specific company but I know that you will know the companies I’m talking about.
    When it comes to Chord, I’m in what I am guessing is the small minority who does not fancy their form factor. It’s refreshing that there are companies which will do things differently instead of making just another black box. The design of the Chord gear simply doesn’t do it for me but Chord nonetheless gets my admiration for daring to design differently and for technical prowess. However, if I could afford a “Chord stack” with their best gear, I would probably do it. But since I can’t, I opt for other gear. Still, Chord has my respect.
    Please do more of these with North American and European manufacturers, especially the ones that just show up and make a splash with a new DAC or tube amp or headphones, maybe even some of the small companies that make aftermarket cables. Even if you think that cables are “snake oil” sometimes it’s enough to have something aesthetically pleasing, made with quality and at reasonable prices.

    Every once in a blue moon a product enters the marketplace conjured from the genius minds of its creators and changes everything , DAVE , aesthetically unassuming sonically beyond expectation , a constant reminder of what the joy of audio can deliver .

    At a London HiFi show so many years ago someone and his girlfriend wanted to play Metallica One. The Chord people reluctantly agreed and the entire room filled up!!
    They told the couple that this is the type of music they wanted, not the plinki simple stuff that that 99% of the manufactures wanted.

    Great to hear Chord's commitment to their products and mostly I agree but please sort out the Poly and 2Go products they are very frustrating, great when they work though. These products are totally unique on the market though even now a few years after their launch, it really is worth putting in a bit more investment in them to get them past the post.

    I’ve had my MOJO 1st Generation for a couple of years . I think it must of over heated playing in my car stereo . So the headphone driver doesn’t work anymore. But I can still play it driving the aux input in the head unit and sounds phenomenal . I need a new battery though . The MOJO isn’t pricey for what you get in sound quality. P.S. why haven’t you sent Steve Guttenberg a MOJO or HUGO , etc yet ?

    I personally feel they overcharge for the products they offer. Compared to amps of similar cost, the TT2 isn’t a wise purchase. If you can grab one used, sure. Not offering balanced XLR output when it’s almost $7,000 is crazy imo.

    • @falcodarkzz

      Try a Mojo 2 and you'll realise for some products they undercharge. Amazing performance

    • @michaellichnovsky8397
      @michaellichnovsky8397 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Balanced isn’t everything. Far from it. Very much overrated in the head-fi world like it isn’t anywhere else. And you can always just use an adapter from the rear XLR outs and you have what you want.

    • @stephendenagy3396

      I used the Mojo until it died and got no help towards the end of warranty. And very stubborn of what the include and don’t. The electronics don’t last, IMO. Much more success with iFI and others.

      @@stephendenagy3396 with ifi, you have to be kidding me. Both their go blu and gryphon had notorious issues. The Gryphon had a glitch which switched it to max volume which could seriously damage your hearing, a glitch they acknowledged and later patched in a firmware update...of all the companies you'd mention lol.

    I like my chord dac, but supplying a cheap ass psu (and still saying a better psu doesn’t matter annoys me). I learned myself how much it matters. And they can talk friendly, and I have respect voor starting a company, what I don’t agree on, is there extreeeeeeeeemmmmmm prices! But in that regard they are not alone, it seems like a lot of hifi nerds, still accepts ‘pissed on by angels’ prices, otherwise they refuse to say it is any good’ the problem with that is, they mess it up for all the rest. The same for apple phones, everyone keeps paying idiot prices, but people keep buying it…. 13000 euro for DAVe dac is not a normal price!! Nomather how you look at it, Damn advances build U1 rack servers are more advanced and cheaper! So NO excuse, prices of some chord products are idiot.

      @Cestmoi50 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@jianhuang0124 I like my chord qutest, but yes in my opinion overpriced. Won’t buy anything else of them. (Lying about a better psu doesn’t matter, no off button, no native dsd support (yes only through pc). There are options at least as good for less, or the same with way way more features. And what is even more disgusting, saying how the starter did not have a lot of money so start building himself, and now doing exactly what te rest do, make it unffordable. I have more respect for brands like IFI audio.

      @@Cestmoi50i disagree about Chord being overpriced. These are hi-fi products made in the UK by people on a decent wage. Add to that the glorious sound not to mention bulletproof reliability and I'd say they are actually quite fairly priced.

    Mentioned in a reply. I never got a reply a few years ago for warranty on the Mojo a few years ago, right at the end of the term. Expensive paperweight. And their ergonomics and design philosophy is just odd. Very odd. I have graduated to the iFI Gryphon. Same general price range, though it is SO adaptable. I am running 705600 Hz sample rate off my Mac. I don’t have to memorize colors. I can also use it BlueTooth. Don’t have to buy a plug in box doubling the size. And it broke. Sounded good when it worked. Maybe it’s a shade better…maybe not. Can’t check ‘cause it’s dead. Bitter? Yes. Waste of $600. Everything Else I bought at or near that time still works. Nice man. I wish him luck. I also wish he would listen to his customers.

    • @Cestmoi50
      @Cestmoi50 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I agree, I sold the mojo2 and got xdsd gryphon too, man I got so soooooooo annoyed with the color buttons (never got used to them). I have a chord qutest which only have a few options, so the idiot color buttons are doable. But if you compare the xdsd gryphon with a mojo2 it is just a joke, even if mojo2 sounds way better (which it don’t!) than option and design wise ifi gryphon is a easy pick!!
