6:22 Tony would have designed it himself since Bruce and Tony meet for the first time in Infinity War after AoU and there was clearly no time for him to make a new suit after meeting him since he had to fight Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw and then leave to go to space.
Why stark didnt use this instead/hulk or thor itself to do the last snap? Anyway, it's done. 🤣

Just imagine Tony used the Hulkbuster to fight with Thanos and it is a nanotech armor
I've often thought of what a nanotech hulkbuster would look like. And how powerful it would be.
Tony in the Hulkbuster had already problems keeping up with Hulks faster attacks. Same for Tony against Thanos. Now you want Tony who was barely able to keep up with Thanos, suit up in a Suit which will slow him down much more and offer a much bigger target for a pretty fast and nimble thanos? Yeah great idea.

@@addisonhall5027 he couldn't use them against thanos in infinity war because they weren't on earth. But if he used them against thanos they would probably be effective

Yes Tony used his rockets to make the building collapse easier but that wasn't the main focus. He did it to make the building fall perfectly straight down
Hulk fighting Tony Stark in hulk buster in age of ultron is iconic. By the way 2:00 love the explanation for joss calling hulk buster Veronica in age of ultron it is super ironic.

I'd assume he had a few suggestions when he transformed back. He wasn't completely off earth after that fight, he left earth at the end of the movie.
@Michael Ross Go watch it again. After this fight, hulk transforms back into banner. They share some dialogue like "the world saw the real hulk today" and his final transformation is when black widow pushes bruce into a pit claiming she needs the other guy before the battle on the floating city. He never transforms back from that until Ragnarok.
Personally im not a big fan of the hulkbuster redesign, i love the mk 50 armor as it truely feels like the peak of stark's innovation. But the hulkbuster 2.0 just doesn't feel the same it feels like a tamer version of the hulkbuster OG
I don't even consider it a 2.0, it just looks like a spare they had around and since hulk wasn't being cooperative, Banner figured it was his best bet

The thing i admire in stark is that hes like batman in many ways. Hes just a regular guy that creates superpowered suits to godlike inventions to defeat threats with actual powers. Anybody that can do earns my respect

Iron Man is 100% Marvel's Batman. (Except Batman has a car, Iron Man has a suit of armor.) On the other hand, Batman is a detective, Iron Man is an inventor. I'm personally a little annoyed at how Batman has become more and more like Iron Man over the decades. Batman used to be known for being the greatest detective (DC = Detective Comics, after all), and he used to just be a wealthy playboy -- not an innovative industrialist. Oh well.
Those lights in his hands, feet and maybe calvs are not reactors but propulsors

The repulsors are powered by the arc reactor, and going against the Hulk, you need all the power you can get.

As the name of the suit, it is a backup suit just in case hulk lose control.
@Allidoiswynn93 watch Dragon Ball Z. Trunks VS. Cell. They had a conversation about how they could go into a strong mode where they could 1-hit K.O. each other but that the decrease in speed/agility is too bad to be viable. Same here.
This was far more designed for a killer hulk, it could be effective in other scenarios, but it fits best with a rampaging hulk

Only the first version. The second version was able to be stand alone. But it's a way cooler concept to have a base armour and all the addition forming the hulkbuster on top of it
Incase Tony can't operate the Hulk Buster for some reason.
It was designed to be functional without the iron man suit, maybe Banner is trained butn ot fully, since he's somewhat sloppy on the HB compared to Tony
Id say the reason tony would wear another suit inside it is so in the event hulk does manage to tear the hulkbuster apart one tony is still protected from hulk squishing him like a bug and two he can fly away
1. Those are repulsors, not 21 arc reactors. Having multiple repulsor locations on the armor assists in maneuverability and flight control. Although I have no doubt the MK44 had more than one arc reactor.
2. The suit doesn't use a "jet propulsion system", those are also repulsors. Jet engines are toys compared to repulsors.
3. The unibeam is always fired from a chest mounted location for leverage due to the tremendous output of the unibeam.
4. Those are not unibeams on the palms , again, repulsors.
Im not sure If the hulkbuster 2.0 is more durable, and better "in all ways" compared to the First hulkbuster, because the First one could replace damaged parts, que the second couldnt. Cull obsidian is not as strong as Hulk (I believe), and he destroyed the hulkbuster, hulkbuster 2.0 is stronger than the previous one, but is less durable and can't regenerate itself
Only because he didn't bring Veronica into the bubble in time I assume. Or Banner didn't know what he was doing with the suit and how to call in more parts. I doubt Stark would drop the modular design, and he undoubtedly would have fought Cull more effectively than Banner did in that suit
Logically it would be more durable as Tony’s armors continually improve.
Also, Cull didn’t rip it apart like Hulk did, he used leverage and momentum to remove the arm
I think cull obsidian was way stronger than the hulkbuster 2.0 but bruce simply outsmarted him

Another great video. The Hulkbuster is one of my favorite armor in the MCU.
The fact that hulk was able to one shot an upcoming Veronica when tony sent one on a fly, says something. If tony hulkbuster suit wasn't reatachable, hulk would have destroyed it easily.
Colobsidian had a sharp weapon, that was why he was able to give hulk buster serious trouble.
Also the Hulk is a savage unintelligent being which is what the suit is meant to fight Cull Obsidian is a soldier of unknown years of service under Thanos also it has to be factored in that this was Banners first time operating a Iron Man suit.

What I wanna know is how does the modular armor pieces attach after damage is received. Usually when something gets broken you can’t use as intended.

The one from infinity war is different to age of ultron hulkbuster too. Some slight differences. Love the design of the infinity war/endgame one.

Do you think Tony can make suits that can fight on par with powerhouses like Strange, Scarlet witch and captain marvel?
I really don't see how. Especially in regards to MCU Tony's tech levels. Strange's magic is basically hacking into the "code" of reality itself, and unless Tony were to learn how to do that as well, he'd have absolutely no way to defend against things like the Mirror Dimension.
Carol can just drain all the energy of his arc reactors and become stronger from it.
Wanda could have the likes of Thanos completely at her mercy with the likes of her irresistable TK until interruption from an outside force.
The only way would be if he focused on cheap shots. Like, he builds a big ass armor that shoots rockets in all directions and causes a huge distraction, but at the same time drops a tiny ball of nanotech that crawls and sneaks up behind them and shoots a single bullet on the back of their head... But then if Strange uses the time stone to see the future or to trap them in a loop, no chance.
After the events of Far From Home,y'all gotta wonder what if Electro stayed and used the 21 arc reactors from the hulkbuster armor.
Hulk should have torn through the Hulkbuster and come to his senses just before killing Tony.

After Ultron, Hulk went to Sakar for two years. He was only returned to Earth by Heimdal when Thanos attacked the Asgardian ship which brought Bruce into Infinity War

The hulk buster armor is cool but it’s completely useless at accomplishing its main goal. Stopping the hulk on a rampage from hurting others and destroying stuff. Fighting him only makes it worse. Instead he should’ve built a suit that is built to take hits from the hulk and deal the damage back by taking advantage of his attacks. But only dealing damage that isn’t noticed until it builds up, or one massive decisive hit that ends it. Another option would be using dark force to absorb the gamma radiation and revert him back into a human slowly. Maybe create a dark force channeling straight jacket like device that isn’t meant to constrict until the dark force absorbs enough gamma radiation to make hulk weak enough for the device to work. This way hulk only attacks you and the fight ends quickly with him tiring himself out, getting trapped, and then knocked out.
There is also an arc reactor under the hulk buster on the original suit idk if it counts
The sedative worked or the battle wouldn't have lasted as long. It also looked like he learned a lesson during his battle against the iron monger, realizing he needed more power to make a bigger suit more responsive.
this armor did fulfill it's purpose of defeating the hulk
Im not sure if its me or if it's coincidence but isnt it funny that the hulk buster armor is Mark 44 and its a power house just like the 44 caliber for pistols im not sure if thats why they named it that but you must admit its kinda cool

Key Issues i doubt Banner had much input on the upgrades between Mark 44 and Mark 48 since he was, you know, on Sakaar. But even if there were significant upgrades in the armour, the reasons it failed to impress in Infinity War was because
1. It was specifically designed designed to combat Hulk
2. It did not have its roving modular parts lab
3. Probably most importantly, it was being operated by Banner, not Tony.

Unless Tony and Bruce improved on hulk buster off screen during AoU, Tony would have done so alone as hulk went off on the quinjet at the end of that movie (and into Ragnorok). Bruce’s next reappearance wasn’t until infinity war when Tony went off into space.

The arc reactor explain the strength but I never understood how iron mans armor could stand any of the damage when he faces super powerful being like the Hulk. It will not matter if it repair itself from time to time. Hulk would destroy it like it was paper. How his ordinary armor could stand that much of damage I have no clue. You never get any explanation for that. It is possible that the nanotech could work but that was not used here.

We can assume TONY learned a lot from that battle and upgraded the suit, not tony and bruce, as bruce is Gone after this not to return until the events of infinity war.
Also, pretty sure that voice was friday, we see Tony selecting the replacement ai for Jarvis before this battle.
I suspect that any further "Hulkbuster" suits developed after Endgame (primarily by Bruce, but maybe with some assistance from Hank Pym & Janet Van Dyne.)

bruce and tony wouldn’t have been able to improve on the suit cause there was simply no time to do so, he was on sakaar and when he came back to earth, tony was gone, probably wouldn’t have discussed such a thing during the ultron offensive either

DC and Marvel have historically had similar characters because of writers switching between the 2 companies.

6:21 i dont think bruce banner could have improved upon the hulk buster 2.0 armor with tony because bruce/hulk left after the battle for sokovia and only just coming back in the beginning of infinity war though tony and bruce did meet but it was for a small amount of time. he didnt say jarvis was dead, he said at that time jarvis was presumed destroyed. it was after this fight that tony found jarvis and put him in the vision body.
