Man, this is all still why I think the MCU X-Men should be done as a serialized weekly saga, Game of Thrones style. All the different characters, different factions, the friction with humans, the relationship dynamics, etc., all lend themselves to that kind of programming if Disney could figure their shit out with how to present it effectively. There are just too many good characters and interesting dynamics to do it in movie form. Look ehat happened the last time they tried to cram a bunch of characters into movies. Everyone complaines that this character or that character and/or their storylines were not done justice.

2 of the biggest disappointments of Disney+ programs including marvel is the lack of drama & lure which ‘97 did well with both.
If they are planning on rebooting the universe why not have fun having international conflicts like Alpha Flight’s Canadian government plans to attack Latveria. Disney has been too cocky thinking viewers will watch paint dry because they have a big ip which is why the boys, house of dragons, & so many other series are eating their numbers.
They should start it off with the original five x men and build it up add all the others as the story moves forward.

There was no need for Judgement Day this would essentially be the snake eating it's tail because you know how they try to implement some of the current movies into the 616 but not so much that it makes a difference that's what they were doing Judgement Day came around when the Eternals films was teased as marketing. Avengers Vs XMen was perfect and then Marvel tried to do it with the Inhumans and the X-Men and then the Eternals and X-Men the mutant family is too big Eternals and Inhumans should be a completely different race we don't need rhen to be mutant
To me this has the same issue as adapting Hickman’s Time Runs Out and Secret Wars. Avengers vs X-men is not just spectacle…it’s about characters connections.
Comic synergy with movies has never driven sales in comics
MCU spec has driven comics sales on and off since basically the mcus inception. The red hulk books sales just increased off the trailer.

Yeah, in the X-Men Origins: Wolverine movie he was born in the early 1800s and he and Victor fought in the Civil War, but in the Wolverine: Origin comic he's a kid in the late 1800s, AFTER the Civil War.
They added half a century to his age in the movies.

I hope we didn't spend 16 years waiting to see X-Men in the MCU just to have them skip over the decades worth of good stories in the comics that put the X-Men IP into a position to be adapted into live action in the first place in favor of newer stuff.

A reboot involving new versions of Ironman and cap would be so lame I’d stop watching. I don’t want to essentially start over. Move forward with X-men, F4, Spider-Man and others and continue to pay homage to the heroes that are gone. I still want the universe to feel real. People die, they don’t need to come back it ruins the legacy.
Normally I would agree with u but with this situation it’s very different. For years fans have been wanting to see the marvel universe be whole again. For years we have been wanting to see iron man cap Thor hulk tchalla of the avengers interact with wolverine and the x-men, fantastic 4, Spider-Man etc… so yes a reset is needed in order to get that. Seriously do u really expect avengers vs x-men to sell with current avengers line up ?

The mcu is a more realistic version of the comics. Not everything/everyone has to exist all at once. It’s realistic that some characters would come after others have passed.
The universe is still whole. The X-men will still be aware of cap and widow they just won’t meet them cause they died. And honestly… at this point the spectacle of hero A teaming up with hero B is gone. We have seen it literally 15 times now since the first avengers film. Just my opinion.

Second their are multiple title in the relaunch which is not a rebot. nothing that has happened is being erased. and theirs not just one team.rouge is leading a team in loisioana and kitty and emma frost are also training new mutants in their own team in a book of their own. storm will lead the avengers i belive. and theirs somthing happening with the pheonix. theirs alot of x books coming.

Pretty ridiculous to compare the Infinity Saga with the current atm comic line because *real Marvel fans knew they were based on older comics to introduce and educate the audience of their character origins leading to the the Infinity Wars of the comics.

The MCU Captain Marvel was fine but the character herself was made of wood inside and out. Comic books, from a male perspective I suppose, did exhibit feminine power along side sexuality. People like the sexy. Don’t pretend like we’re all suddenly above it.
Comics taking cues from the movies is just a bad move cor comics and cartooning in general. It’s limiting the storytelling to being commercials for the movies. Also the end of the Krakoa era has been a long time coming. Hickman has been off the books for a while, the writing f has been on the wall for over a year.

Wrong. Marvel now was excellent and what was going on during early mcu. It is just hard to bring growth to comics unless they fully reboot and change the issue/volume method.
