@@stormchaser419 Everyone is different, but that is certainly a lot of study time! I believe you should be able to do it, but ultimately it comes down to whether or not you understand the concepts/materials. Be sure to try out free practice tests online. If you're scoring more than 85% on free practice tests, then you're probably ready. I haven't taken my Security+ exam yet, but I did take, and pass, the Comptia A+ exams and practice tests helped me feel more confident in knowing how far along I was in understanding the materials. I'm going for my Security+ exam tomorrow; I watched Professor Messer's Security+ series, and this video, which is a total of about 35 hours of studying. I DO have the advantage of some baseline information from the A+ exam, though. Best of luck!
@Adam Weary I only used this and Professor Messer's Security + as my study materials, with examcompass' online practice tests to measure how well I retained the information. I was getting 85-95% scores on those study materials. Didn't purchase anything.
All the just passed comments are really encouraging, I passed my test today with 771!! This video played an enourmous part in me passing, I can't thank you enough!!
It's 2 years since this series was made but its been super helpful and pivotal in my preparation journey. Relatively 80-90% of my preparation was from your content and I'm proud to share I successfully passed the exams 3hrs ago. Thank you Pete! You are phenomenal! God Bless you!
I passed my exam yesterday!!! I had technical issues with my PBQs on exam day, and STILL scored a 775! These videos, along with Professor Messer's, played a huge part in my success. I'm so grateful for you both. Truly, I am. Thank you so much!!
I passed my exam yesterday!!! Along with other resources I used your video as the last step to touch up everything! Thanks for your dedicated time to help others!
I am forever grateful Mr. Zerger. I passed my exam today with a 785! Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for all of the knowledge you have provided us with. You played a large role in my studies. I come from working basic jobs like Retail, Grocery, and the Food industry. I took action back in August to take charge of my life and ensure I earn a cyber security certification to get into a field that I have been obsessed with since I was a child who was staring at a DSL modem curious as to how the networking and the lack their of security happened behind the scenes. I work at a grocery store and basic retail part/full time jobs at the moment while I've been pursuing this certification. This is a huge life changing moment for me and I want to thank you so much for everything you have taught me throughout all of your videos!
@@manu-punjaban So sorry for such a late reply, my notifications don't alert me of comment replies. But, yes you can! Just passed my Sec+ with a 792! Your video was amazing! It was more concise and less boring than other TH-cam Sec+ guides. After watching your full 10 hour video I did a handful of practice exams for a week and reviewed your PowerPoint the morning of my exam.🥳
Had my exam scheduled on the last day of 601 and passed Sec+ on 7/31! No IT experience! 2 hard weeks of studying from the moment I opened my eyes until bedtime lol. Between your videos, Professor Messers, and the book referenced in the video. Used this 10hr vid on 2x speed to review morning of test day. Watched from 7am-12pm and then tested at 145pm. Thank you so much!!
I bought the voucher Dec 2023 and procrastinated. I only used this video and crammed domains 4-5 a day before exam day and still passed!!! Thanks Pete for making this video!
do you have any background in IT? Did you take notes or just watched the video? this is seriously the only resource u used to study for less than a week? woah
You can spend hours here reading similar sentiments from people with and without previous IT experience. I suggest you simply get started with my exam prep strategy at the beginning of the video and work the plan. Best of luck on the exam! 👍🍀
@@InsideCloudAndSecurityI noticed the reviews say that the sybex book has outdated info even for the 601. Is GCGA by Gibson still fine as a substitute? It has more reviews
@@LynnyrdRavage I don’t believe that’s correct (more than 1 million views on my series and I’ve never heard this before) I believe thousands of candidates to tell you the official study guide for 601 is just fine. do in mind that the 601 exam expires in a couple of weeks at which point you’ll need to study for the 701 exam. So if you’re not going to take it pretty quickly look at 701
You're videos played a huge part in me passing my Security+ 601 exam today! I ended up with an 801/900. The videos get straight to the point of what you need to know to pass the Sec+ and I really appreciated that.
Just wanted to come back and say thank you for this free monumental resource! Passed my Security+ with a 797 with 1 month of prep (3 hours/day), zero experience, with just 4 resources (Zerger's Exam cram, Prof. Messer + his practice tests, Cyberkraft's PBQs and ExamCompass). I was always hoping to be one of the success stories under this post. THANK YOU SO MUCH for this!
I want to say thank you so much for this course. I successfully passed my exam on the 11th after watching this video for 2 days and took the exam on the 3rd. Scored a 830!!! Thanks so much.
Today is the last day for the 601 exam and I JUST PASSED thanks to this video!!! I am immensely grateful!!! Finding this video was a live saver because I wanted to do a bootcamp but I just didn't have hundreds of dollars to spend on that, I work full-time, and my 4 year old is home with me all day. We have 4 kids and I didn't have another $400 to spend on an exam voucher right now. I have been so tied up with life that I didn't study for the past 6 months like I intended to. I did a 3 day cram of this video and it worked!!! THANK YOU
I am 7 hours in and I just have to say this video is AMAZING. I have been watching it x2 speed as a review for my 601 exam in 72 hours and man am I glad I did. I have watched professor messer videos, done his practice tests, done all 900 questions in the comptia app, and the almost 700 questions on exam compass. Even at x2 speed, you explained some things that I have been struggling to understand and retain so well that I immediately understood them(kubrenetes, kerberos, and the auth protocols). Also, you cover a lot of things that messer, dion, and the app did not discuss and filled in blanks I didn't even know I had. You are a fantastic teacher. Thank you for an amazing review just before my exam. I take it the final day the 601 is available haha. I will update on if I pass or not as I tried to cram all of this info in my head in a month.
Glad you're finding it helpful! If you didn't take the SY0-601 exam before the cutoff date, make sure you switch to my SY0-701 playlist. th-cam.com/play/PL7XJSuT7Dq_UDJgYoQGIW9viwM5hc4C7n.html&si=0UuMCAw7iK415BUr
Just passed it today with a 777 this video helped me out a lot. Using this with multiple other resources. About 5 hours before I took the exam I’ll cracked the rest of the video jumping around to find the stuff I missed. Use these videos ! You won’t be disappointed!
Just passed my sec+ with a score of 785 today! Thank you very much for uploading this video as it played a huge part in why I passed. I watched through this video once, and studied a acronym list which I found elsewhere. I actually bought a book as well, but didn't read much of it. Primarily this video filled in some gaps that I had especially in Governance, Risk and Compliance as well as Cryptography. Coupled that with previous work experience and studies I passed the exam on my first try. Again thank you! :)
Just passed my 601 first time taking it today with a 776, the last day to take it before it expires for the 701. I watched this video dozens of times throughout the last couple months and it really helped me. This video, in conjunction with exam compass practice tests and Cyberkraft’s PBQ videos are all I used. Thank you so much, your videos helped me pass the az900 and sec+. I really couldn’t have done it without your videos. Next up, az500!
This video is probably the biggest reason I passed this exam at all. Thank you so much for creating this series of videos, I appreciate all the work you put into these!!
ive been waiting 3 months to write this in the comments... i passed the test! thank you for this video and the way you helped me understand concepts. Your voice and video have been a huge part of passing :D everyday .. thanks again
Your videos, played at 2x speed, 1 day before taking my Sec+ 601, all the way up to 1/2 hour before the exam, helped me to pass. I used the official study guide and Messer's PDFs and videos as well. Thank you very much for a very thorough and concise guide!
Just wanted to say thank you and honour the time and effort you must have put in to make a nearly 11hr video! I have some IT experience (though not specifically security) but I went through your video in a week (working around 3 young kids!) and managed to pass without any other materials. Thank you very much!!
Hey Guys, Just passed my 601 Security +. This is coming from someone who watched Professor Messer & Insane Cloud & Security. I will say, if you need quick info (shoot for professor messer), but if you want ever single piece of information needed, Inside Cloud & Security covers everything what the test included. (Recommended) My school gave me practice test from CompTia themself and I notice some new things that prof. messer didnt cover which was easily covered by this video. After studying this video for an entire week, I was way more confident. You guys can do it, I had no experience in security.
Pete I owe you a BIG THANK YOU! You are the reason I passed my exam today with only 4 days of cram and I needed to express my thanks to you. You're a legend!
Dear Mr Ziglar I took the security + exam online on the 30th July 2023 and passed ! all thanks to this youtube video cram which put me in the right frame on mind for the exam. Thank you again and God bless you . Best regards , James Murithi .
I just passed and watching and reviewing your videos really help out a lot. Especially with the way they worded some of the questions. Will definitely recommend this to all my IT colleagues. Many thanks!!!
Glad I could help! And CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉 Not only does this cert carry a lot of useful knowledge, about 20% of Security+ content maps to CISSP exam content!
I just wrote a 762 on my second attempt at the Security Plus. Your video series has helped tremendously! You basically cover everthing. Candidates only need to listen, take notes then go on in there and Kick A** and take names! Thank you!
I passed CompTIA Security+ 601 and your videos were a big part of my success. I like how you step through each domain and hit every topic as they appear on the Comptia objectives. Thank you.
Big thanks to Mr Zerger. Awesome video I love professor messer as well but this is half as long compared to his series and with no work experience I was able to pass within 3-4 days of studying which I think is insane for no prior knowledge in this field other than interest in IT. Very good content and I highly reccomend.
Thanks, I watched this video with 2x speed minimizing the time to 5 hours and passed the exam under 3 days of preparation. It is very well curated and summarized everything for the exam. I recommend.
Passed my Sec+ mainly watching your videos and doing some extra studying with Prof Messer. Took me about 2.5 months with no prior experience. Already recommend your content it to some folks. Thanks!
Thank you so much for your video course ! Just passed the SYO-601 using 99% your course and test practice questions I purchased from Udemy. 754 was my score ! Thanks tremendously, been trying to get back in the IT industry for about 6 months now but now that I have this certification shouldn’t be much longer .
Passed my sec+ today thanks to your videos!!! Appreciate you for taking the time to put these videos together for us. A very great resource I will recommend my peers!
I can proudly and truthfully say this video helped me to pass. I sat the exam Nov 10 2023. I got a 759 score . Needed 750 to pass . My first time sitting the exam with out any background in IT. Because all year professional experience is in the financial industry. I listen to this everyday while I work and do chores lol
Just passed with a 779 and I absolutely would not have made it without this video. I have a long commute and listening to this in the car really gave me a good foundation to build on. Thanks bro, you're the GOAT!
Pete! Thank you for your dedication to simplifying complex concepts and breaking down challenging topics into easily understandable way is nothing short of remarkable. Took me 2 weeks and I've made it a daily habit to listen to your videos while I am in the gym, doing chores or drive and I am grateful to share that I have cleared the exam! Even though I already had some cybersecurity experience your videos helped me refine my knowledge and grasp concepts in layman's terms. Your contributions are greatly valued!
I passed my Security+ SY601 exam on July 31st and your videos assisted greatly. Thanks for sharing your knowledge via these videos. They are truly insightful and well put together. Keep up the good work🤝👊
niceeee congrats my friend, do you have any advice got mine next week. What tips do you have? Also how hard was the exam and would you say it is similar to professor messers sample questions?
@@ZainAli-tn7rm On exam day. Mark the pbq and skip them , read the multiple choice questions carefully at least twice and go over the choices . Use process of Eliminating for tricky questions. If you do not know an answer like I did, guess. Remember you never loose points for guessing incorrectly and you are given 100 points for free just by showing up. I ran out of time and was only able to complete 1 pbq and I had 4 or 5 total out 76 questions. And I literally just guessed the pbq I managed to complete which was only 1 out of the 4 or 5. One other thing, you might get a beta question that you never even studied for that was not on the objectives sheet so don’t worry it won’t be counted towards your score, because I think I got one. To be honest it’s really difficult to determine whose practice exams the actual test were similar to. But professor messers exams were top notch and helped me in preparing along with the comp Tia globe app and Darrell gibsons app and his book. The test I would say is medium to hard in terms of difficulty. There will be some questions you know and some you don’t. The pbqs were difficult and nothing could have prepared me for those so there is no need to worry about those as you can definitely win without completing those. Good luck .
@@SMOKEY428 hey mate I appreciate the reply and advice. Yeah I think that’s the best way like you said, leave pbqs at end and if stuck use process of elimination. I feel like I’m ready but I’m a little nervous because this is my first exam so want to make sure I do well. Oh wow I didn’t know that, so you start of with 100 marks prior to answering any questions as long as you turn up. Does that mean we only need 650 marks out of the question to pass because we start with 100? If that’s the case that’s good to know and has made me a bit more confident. Cheers for that mate 😀 Yeah for sure, I think it might be best to do a variety of sites and books for questions just so you can see a range of different styles etc. however I have bought the professor messer question book along with the dion training exam questions. Gonna aim to just do questions these last few days leading to the exam and making sure that if I get a question wrong I know I did and learn from it. Yeah tbh, leaving the PBQs till the end will give a better idea of if you have passed before answering the questions, just gotta make sure I ace the multiple choice so that there is less pressure for the PBQs Appreciate it mate, you have helped make me more confident 😄🤝

Congratulations on your achievement.... what other sources did you use to study, or you just use this video?

It's 2 years since this series was made but its been super helpful and pivotal in my preparation journey. Relatively 80-90% of my preparation was from your content and I'm proud to share I successfully passed the exams 3hrs ago. Thank you Pete! You are phenomenal!
God Bless you!
Glad I could help! Good luck on all your exams! 🍀👍
I passed my exam yesterday!!! I had technical issues with my PBQs on exam day, and STILL scored a 775! These videos, along with Professor Messer's, played a huge part in my success. I'm so grateful for you both. Truly, I am. Thank you so much!!

Your intro on how to study for the exam helped me prepare for another exam that I just passed today. Thank you!!!
Glad to hear that, congratulations! 🎉 🎉🌟And THANK YOU! Very kind of you to support my work!🙏
I passed my exam yesterday!!! Along with other resources I used your video as the last step to touch up everything! Thanks for your dedicated time to help others!
Fantastic! Glad it was helpful! CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉🌟
I love this! CONGRATULATIONS! Wish you great success in your future cybersecurity career!🏆🎉🌟

Hey Guys, Just passed my 601 Security +. This is coming from someone who watched Professor Messer & Insane Cloud & Security. I will say, if you need quick info (shoot for professor messer), but if you want ever single piece of information needed, Inside Cloud & Security covers everything what the test included. niceeee congrats my friend, do you have any advice got mine next week. What tips do you have? Also how hard was the exam and would you say it is similar to professor messers sample questions?
@@ZainAli-tn7rm
On exam day.
Cheers for that mate 😀
Yeah for sure, I think it might be best to do a variety of sites and books for questions just so you can see a range of different styles etc. however I have bought the professor messer question book along with the dion training exam questions. Gonna aim to just do questions these last few days leading to the exam and making sure that if I get a question wrong I know I did and learn from it.
Yeah tbh, leaving the PBQs till the end will give a better idea of if you have passed before answering the questions, just gotta make sure I ace the multiple choice so that there is less pressure for the PBQs
Appreciate it mate, you have helped make me more confident 😄🤝

@@BadWeatherfreak I also used Jason Dion's Udemy course for a full rundown of each exam objective. Leading up to the exam, I took both Dion's and Mike Chapple's practice exams on Udemy and went back to domains I didn't do well in. Best of luck on studying!
Thank you very much for all the resources and time you have dedicated to helping others! Much appreciated.
My pleasure!👍
Watched this over the last week days. Downloaded the PDF File for this. Took my Security + Exam today and I PASSED!!!!!! This was a great supplement to my other study material and I believe I would not have passed without this video and information. Thank you for this. Now I need to find something like this for Network + Lol.
Excellent, congratulations! 🏆🎉🌟 Glad the exam cram was helpful!
Thank you so much for this cram course!!! Your videos and PDF were my Ace card, passed Sec+ with 758! I watched this video on 2x speed about 3 times over 3 weeks and then took practice questions in the form of tests that my partner lovingly created and graded nightly for me. I would say to anyone studying two things: 1. Write down in your own words any concepts you do not understand until they make sense. 2. Look into your local library's Interlibrary Loan system for free test books and TH-cam for teachers, do not pay for anything beyond the test admission fees. Good luck!
Glad the exam cram was helpful! CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉👍
Thank you SO MUCH for this video!
I had less than a week to revise for the exam & used this, alongside my own deep dives into topics I wasn’t too familiar with and managed to pass! I couldn’t have done it without this video! Highly recommend.

I passed my Sec+ exam this weekend with a 792 and it’s thanks to you! I had use so many other self study resources, but I always fill the practice tests. After listening to your videos and your breakdowns of exam objectives, everything clicked I finally got the confidence to take the test. Thank you so much.
Happy to help! CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉🌟
Like most other comments I've seen your video helped me tremendously as this is the main source I used and I passed with score of 775. I used about 40 out of 680 pages of the self study guide that came with the retest bundle. With that being said though I recommend to others don't be like me, use multiple sources and don't cram it all in 3 weeks either unless you are sure you got it. But thank you as this is my first step to get off the floor and into the office
That's great news and great advice to others. CONGRATULATIONS! 🏆🎉
Thanks a lot Mr. Zerger, just passed my exam using your videos as my main resource with pratice tests! Your knowledge and format was very helpful in retaining the knowledge while cramming.
