Very informative video. We are based out in the UK and although we never thought our wee boy is different than other kids, his school observed some key indicators within 2 weeks of him in year 1. Thankfully here they prefer to educate the child in mainstream school unless violence is involved in traits. They have special education needs coordinator for each class tagged with a learning support assistant. They work out the suitable plan according to each child's needs and provide lessons in small groups within the main class. They make sure that child never feels he is treated any differently than his/ her peers. Although the laws are very strict here and as such schools can never make a formal diagnosis, after monitoring my kid for a year and regular meetings with me they have asked me to seek professional advice funded by the UK government. They said they want the child to continue receciving the support he needs even if its in high functioning side.
Main indicators in my son according to them are social interaction and working on task only when prompted. He needs to be reminded every now and then to complete the task assigned to him. Once on it he is a very smart boy specially in calculations. Its not easy to raise the child on spectrum as a lot of times he just doesn't make sense and takes everything literally. Can't comprehend metaphors, sarcasm, irony used by his class mates. Lacks empathy and doesn't understand how others might feel about unkind or mean behaviour. We are now going to initiate his diagnosis process and hoping the best for my kid. He is a very sweet boy. Always spoke hindi when arrived in the UK at the age of 2. Took sometime but gripped on English slowly and now fluency at the age of 5. He still runs out of words, vocabulary but developed his own techniques to use substitute words.

Wao exactly same happens in Europe. Bs farak ye hai k special class wali professional educator he as a shadow teacher mainstream me support krti hai. They gradually increase time and make them independent. They can keep a kid maximum for three years.
Yes its really exhausting for parents to find a place and they need to be well informed and dated otherwise they will get nothing. It took me a whole year to run for my son. May God bless all parents who are struggling for their special kids.

No he is in jr kg in his current school and other schools do not have sr kg with them and they are only suggesting KG grade because for them jr kg is considered nursery

Independent nahi bethta .. continue mere bete ko kisi shadow teacher ki zarurat rehti h . 5months se special school jaa raha hai .. improvements hai .. therapy hoti h .. education 30minutes .. baaki time activity with preprimary class.

No dear its monthly.. 10-15 thousand shadow teacher + 10k approx or more than that monthly iske alawa charges jo admission fee and one time dene hote hain

Inaji...there are many cities, towns were there are no inclusive schools n shifting to some other town is not easy... Special schools are there but they don't hav any integrated therapy...they concentrate on vocational skills...in short nothing satisfactory Wat should parents do in such case...

It all depends on DQ score.. mild to moderate basically is something where child has receptive language a little verbal too but has strong repetitive behavior a lot of echolalia.. some sensory issues as well.. fine gross motor skills are poor
Mam abhi mild moderate and severe ye classification nahe Raha hai according to DSM V. Autism is Autism irrespective of severity

@ramukanna - There r gud inclusive schls in India which in reality means inclusion tat means apka bacha baaki bache ke saath same time class mein sit karega..Bt inclusion schl mein Special educatr,shadow teachr, Occupational therapist etc hone chaiye - daily bache ke saath OT,Spcl Edctn,Speech ke session hona chaiye ..Agar sirf wk mein 2-3 din Spcl session ho rhe h to itna benefit nhi hoga bcz sensory needs ke hisab bacha adapt hoga then uski class mein sittin ayengi...Agar bacha sensory overload ke karan preshan h class mein - stimming kar rha h,screamin kar rha,runnin arround etc to normal schl PPL wudnt understand this...Academically bacho ki alag se IEP( individual eductn plan) banta h - har bache ki need/ understand ke hisab se ...Aap ache se find karo inclusive schl apne area mein - khud jakar dekho schl mein kitni facility h - shadow teachr ,Spcl Edctr,fees kitne h etc then decide karo...Foremost wrk is findin d right schl for kid accordin to his support need- sensory need kaisi ,sittin tolerance,gesture kaise..My kid schl saw assessment ,observe d child behaviour( whether hitting/ pushin/ spittin etc askd abt it - none of it was there) ,only runnin was there..I wrkd 2yrs at home( covid time- home schln),home therapy ,schl readiness

@@ramukanna Ok i understood...I mean to say - there are inclusive schl also which take asd kids as admisn..Bt u hv to find gud inclusive schl where in reality Specl Eductr,OT therapist,counsellor,shadow teachr etc all trained staff, facilities r there which r required for kid ..If one push kid to study in mainstream without understanding sensory need of child - i may be possible d child will get sensory overload - wudnt able to cope there..Search well for inclusive schl where in reality Spcl eductn,therapy r provided which make child comfortable to sit with his peer grp..Some schl say they r inclusive bt in reality - neither thy provide any Spcl Eductr,nor shadow teachr & in turn will complain when child not able to adjust,show any behaviour in class ...Take feedbk frm fellow parents abt schl in ur city,visit schl ,see what facilities r there,trained staff there or not,how much fees- then decide d schl..In meantime do therapy at home- prepare child for schl readiness- work on sittin tolerance,reducing hyperactive,followin instruction,toilet trained,wrk on fine motor skills- help in writin later,speech etc ..All d best
@@urvi0916 this is very helpful thank u so much , my son is 3.9 years old . He has level 2 autism… he can ask his needs he can write knows many words. The problem is he don’t respond even if he knows … he is getting better with sitting tolerance but still not good .

I put my child in a matric school.....i am not sure if i should shift him to special school...he is 5 years...speak in 3 word phrases. I am worried if i can keep him in matric school..they dont provide tberapy, but he is very very happy...should i still ahift him

Hi , recently came to know that CBSE has so many exemptions for our children . If the child is not able to do any subjects like maths or sst then the board can eliminate these subjects & introduce vocational subjects like art & craft ,computers etc. Board even allows scribe if the child has difficulty in writing. So my request to you is if possible do some research on this make a video. I am sure other boards must also have these facility.

what we or doctors call mild is actually taken as moderate to severe by schools... hard but true for maximum schools

Autism is not supposed to be described as mild moderate or severe but instead described according to support needs. If a child has high support needs then schools may not accommodate them. Special school works on all the skills that special needs children do not develop according to their age like their neurotypical age fellows. So it’s actually good to send them to special education so that they have the foundation needed to learn other things like academics.

Aap bilkul theek kah rahi hain school bus aise bacche jyada hai jo chupchap baithi rahe aur ek bar school Ko pata chal jayegi bacche ko kuch bhi problem hai to uski छोटी-छोटी chijon ke liye bahut sunate Hain. Mere bacche ko adhd diagnos hai kyunki is school mein jakar uska behaviour change ho gaya hai purane school mein usko koi problem nahin thi bus speech delay tha maine school ke kahane per hi assessment karaya hai school mein uski behavi different hote Hain. Ab vah kah rahe Hain ki shadow teacher ke liye baat karni hai bahut stress hota hai school ki taraf se. School bade hone ka bhi koi benefit nahi hai ek tagline de Diya hai bacche ko problem hai even teacher bhi Aisa hi karti hai.

Best socha hai apne...NIOS 10th.12th ka exam dila sakte ho aap ...baad mein...apne bachhe ko..koi nahi achhe se padha sakta...koi bhi nahi...sirf maa baap ke alawa... school mein bachhe ke sath kya ho raha hai...kaise pata chalega..apne ko .or o bata bhi nahi payega..bichara bachha....or fb pe group hai autism ke .. autistic bachhe ko...school mein....etna mara ke sare body par...red scratch aaye the ..cctv nahi batate bahana karte....but apna bachha toh ro ro kar..marr jata hoga... school mein..ki meri mamma..kaha hai..but use bachane wala..koi nahi hota....ek bachhe ka.. school se phone aaya..ki uska right hand kaam nahi kar raha.. activities mein..le jao kar.. perent ne x-ray kiya toh pata chala...haddi tooti hai...hand ki .bachhe ko bhot pain ho raha tha...but o log cctv footage nahi de rahe the...bolte kharab hai..bhot dhamkane par bole ..1,2 week mein mil jayega....or bhi bhot kuch hota hai..bachhe ke sath... special schools mein bhi.... group mein parents sab batate hai...phir q.. school bhejna..marr khane bachhe ko....

Ye sbse bda problem hai ki jo best special schools hai bo aam aadmi k bjat se bahr hai or jo government based hai bo itna acha work nhi krte. There should be some financial help from government side for autism parents. I think Hume try krna chahiye ase mainstream school me jo shadow teacher allow kre ya phir mother ko allow kre kyonki time k sath with practice ye bcche school environment ko adopt krne lgte hai but still full time sitting hmesha chalanged rhti hai .

Ina mam aap bhi homeschooling ke barein mein mein q Nahi sochti hai....bachhe bade or independent hone ke baad koi nahi puchta..konse school mein padha...jaan bujh kar bachhe..ko maar khane torture hone ke liye school na bheje...duniya ko... society ko dikhane ke liye .. school naa bheje...hume pata hai..hamara bachha..kaisa hai....NIOS bhi aage hamari. Help kar sakta hai... Home schooling is best option for our autistic kids....
Nai esa nai hai viraj already mainstream mein jata hai aur dekhiye ye apni personal choice hai.. sab apne according decide kar sakte hain bilkul.. ismein kisi ka pressure nai hona chaiye.. and also bahut saare bache shadow teacher ke saath itna acha karte hain jitna vo homeschooling mein lack of environment ki wajah se nahi kar pate hain.. aur society ko dikhane ke liye parents kuch nai karte na aap na main.. every. Children on spectrum are different so har kisi ki learning ek tarah se nahi hoti hai.. so jahan tak main apna experience share karrhi hu mere bete ko school ka environment. chaiye kisi societal pressure nahi balki isiliye kyunki vo school se bahut kuch seekha hai jo main nai sikha pai hu ghar pe ... may be our kids face problem in responding to WH questions... even when they know answer they dont respond consistently. all other school who are not coordinating well , will have to regret when our kids will shine in near future.

Mostly asking what is this .. identification of letters numbers and items.. asking what is this .. a little bit of intro life what is your name.. and observing behavior .. also some command following .. i hope he gets a good school 🙃🤗
Challenges are that everytime its a new people new environment so sometimes he just responds so good sometimes he doesnt want to.. and i can relate because where he responded well the environment staff and place was very good .. where there was little small or gloomy sort of room he was not responding well
