I think everyone missed one big thing, for the first time ever at 1:46:42, devons” unstoppable position” was plowed through by hutchings and then devon had to run back to the kings move. Insane strength from hutchings, he was definitely under acknowledged in this fight
Devon's position would be stronger if it was closer to his body with more shoulder in it. Todd is definitely strong though. Curious how it would go with no strap. There is a lot of drag pulling, as Todd said he ran out of table.

Anyone saying Larratt is getting weaker or underperforming are beyonnd delusional 🙄🙄 Todd Hutchings is an absolute monster, his side pressure and raw power is nearly unmatched by anyone, and if you actually watch Devon's history of armwrestling, and instead of ignorantly hating and assuming he's weak, you'll know that the first round or two are never his forte, and he pulls slow looking to bleed the opponent. He is very technical and looks for the best win possible. This is the heaviest Todd Hutchings ever, therefore the strongest. He destroyed a Ron Bath and Marcio with the latter heavier than Larratt here at a lesser weight at the time. Devon freaking played this dude in the later part of each match with a super quick win in the 3rd. Don't hate on the greatest

Devon Larratt reminds me of how guys described Scott Hall back in the day where backstage he had very little physical presence but once he stepped through curtain he turned into Razor Ramon. Watching Devon on Jujimufu's channel he seems like such a laid back guy that despite his social attitude could almost disappear into the corner of a room if he wanted to, but in competition he feels so larger than life and effortlessly badass.
Man that Todd is a beast. No kidding. I'm so glad Devon mastered kings move and fought fire with fire. What a match. Go go team Devon.

You could see how much of a pro Devon is in round 2. He could have finished him a bit earlier, but let the other guy burn his arm up more. The last 25 seconds of round 2 Devon knew he had him, but gave him just the perfect amount to let him burn himself out. He had nothing left for the 3rd round
Todd is such a gentleman and a really nice guy. A very smart guy too.
But he's not a freak of nature. He said it himself. He's stronger now than he was in the 40es.
Hes super scientific and training smart that's what he is. And dedicated.

@pabnaful I saw larrat dominate with a move he never uses. He didn't cheat either, he won fair and Square by bleeding his opponent out.
He used the King's Move against mask too, you often see it when an armwrestler gets desperate and can't contain the hit of their opponent.

Todd made Devon work a lot harder than I expected, and I think he did enough to earn a pin in the first round and maybe even the second. I've seen those given before. A 3-1 or 3-2 to Devon would have been a fairer result.
It'd be unfair to Devon to say he's lost something because the versatility of the guy is better than ever even if there's not the same horsepower there that used to be. He really can pull in any direction and there's almost no spot he can't come back from. He conjures up plans B, C and D when most don't even have a B.
Not sure about improved versatility, not because I don't think he's versatile but because he always was from the start.
I believe ive watched every larrat match on video, and as far as i know thats the first time ive seen him use the kings move.

wow...the first two rounds were just so intense...total WAR...in the end it all boiled down to the one with the better endurance level....great match
If there was no kings move, i think Devon would lose the 1st round, maybe the 2nd (would be close), but definitely not the 3rd and on. Eventually he would still win because of his endurance as he tends to wear out opponents.
Without the King's Move Todd would have pinned him quickly so he would still have been relatively fresh for the third round. Besides Devon started in a shoulder pressing position in the third round due to shit refereeing so that isn't indicative of anything.

If Devon says Mask is gonna bury Todzilla, then you have the best estimation you can get about the result. There isn't a more credible source unless Devon was dishonest. I don't think he was.

Since Mask almost beat him, his ego demands that he believe that Mask will beat Toddzilla too. The kings move Devon did was TOTALLY different. If you watched Todd, you would notice his head literally going below the table. Larrat did the move like how it's supposed to be done and was more in a "sitting on a chair position" than actually sitting on a floor like Todd.

All these matches were tremendous and I'm really happy for Devon. The guy has great sportsmanship. And Todd Hutchings has earned a new fan. The guy is a friggin' beast. Yeah Bart (and his wife the down referee) are useless, he must know someone high up in WAL; no other explanation for him still being in work. WAF and PAL have properly vetted and audited referees, they would never allow someone of his incompetence to ref their matches.

@@kasparov9 the replay showed this does not happen. The refs disagree and if you think they're biased towards Devon, then this is the first WAL Devon match you've ever watched. The interaction between them is hostile every time. So, they're neutral or against him and they have the very best view and they have experience as a ref. Todd didn't complain or make this allegation. He's a mechanical engineer; he's not stopped. Or in this sport of alpha males in which Todd appears to be one himself, he is not masculine enough to speak up for himself? Is that your assertion? Todd Hutchings isn't an alpha male? More likely he is an alpha male and recognizes and respects refs and their rulings and he won't make excuses. Win in a way where there's no doubt that remains for the refs. And he knows that he didn't do that and so he would be making excuses when it was his fault and this he refuses to do . This all leads to the same conclusion, Devon wasn't pinned and he did win.
They need music for when they come out.. more adrenaline and hype, less awkward. Seems odd, for WAL of all leagues.

I read some comments claiming Larratt had been very rude to Hutchings in the post match saying 'he doesn't belong to this category' but this wasn't the case at all. Todd and Devon both looked in prime condition and Todd went all out those first two rounds. I have to say it though, it was really disappointing seeing Devon go "under the table". That isn't his style and he even was warned about not dipping both shoulders too low, so you know that he was way down there. It was a last ditch effort that first round to not get pinned, but still unfortunate to see. The second round he did it intentionally to bleed out Todd and that was worse yet to see. Congrats to Devon. Todd, he didn't fight ya like a man.

@@michaeltrumph121 We do not criticize Todd because he uses King Moves, it's a legit move, we criticize him because he doesn't follow the rules while using it. You cannot drop with both your shoulders under the table like Todd does. He is hated because he cheats. Devon performed a normal King Move so there's nothing to say about it.

Devon looks kind of out of shape... still this match was intense. When I saw Devon switch to the King's in the second round I thought it looked cool. The way he does the transition is very smooth, and movie like. I disagree with his talk at the end though; give Todd more time. He has heavyweight potential!

It's not about the King's move legitimacy but how you perform it. Don't drop under the table with your shoulders, don't have parts of your arm touch the table and don't frigging hang with your entire bodyweight and a stretched arm on your opponents biceps, which basically can't happen if you follow the first two rules. Refs just have to be more punishing in cases like Michael Todd. Didn't see Larrat doing any of these fouls here.
