For someone who has been living in your van since June, you've done a phenomenal job. You're constantly doing your research and most recommendations from viewers are super awesome ones. Girl, you'll do fine for winter! ✌️

I also caught that subtle cutting board shade. You're funny 🤣🤣 I love your vids. The food looked delicious btw.
FYI - Book your extended stay online with the best rate you can find (use honey too). Then, call the hotel directly, tell them when you are going to be there and then ask them “What is your lowest and best rate for a long term stay?” Also ask them about military/vet discounts and anything else you might qualify for. I am about to schedule an extended stay for the next two months while I save up the rest of my down payment for my van. :-)
You could ask the van dealer to show you how to use your tanks and heaters as much as you like. Practice makes perfect. You shouldnt be afraid to live comfortably.
My only Suggestion is, if you go with the 7 gallon tank, make sure you have something smaller on hand like a Tea kettle so can heat up the water to use, in case your entire 7 gal of Water freezes.. remember, water expands when it Freezes leave room in the Water bottle to allow expansion. One thing if you know it's gonna freeze, turn your pump off, and open the Tap, to drain the water back into the Tank.. leave the tap open allowing to expand through the pipe, rather than bursting it...
I'm so glad you listened to your body and decided to add meat back into your diet. Meat is a very dense source of nutrition, and very few people are able to thrive without it. Veganism requires careful attention to supplementing lacking nutrients, and ovo-lacto vegetarianism can still be problematic for those who have issues with inflammation. Veganism/vegetarianism is something people need to be very committed to as an ethical choice because it isn't necessarily the best choice for personal health. On the other side of the coin, those who eat only meat get all of the nutrients they need without having to supplement, which from an evolutionary and physiological point of view, eating meat makes sense.
Just about to watch and wishing you and every singel one reading this the most magical weekend! 🙏😍💫 Love your chanel and so happy to follow your journey 🙏🥰❤️❤️❤️ LOTS of Love and Light from Sweden ❤️
Please don't try and put that water dispenser on your cutting board. When it's full it will weigh 60 to 70 pounds. Probably snap the cutting board off like it was nothing. Besides which, you don't want to have to lift it up and down in order to use it. Find an elevated permanent place for it where you can use a cargo strap to keep it in place. I'm thinking the shower space (maybe a small nightstand to set it on?), with a boot mat on the floor to catch any drips or spills so nothing goes down the drain. Stay warm.
Good Morning! I’m glad to see you adding a little meat back into your diet, everything is good for us in moderation. I like the extended stay hotel idea. I think that would be a much needed break from van life & a warmer one. Thank you for taking us on today’s journey. Stay safe ~Sabrina ~
Once the tank is dumped the final time you need to winterize the plumbing system by running antifreeze through the system. Make sure you use plumbing antifreeze!
In lieu of RV safe antifreeze; you can blow the water line out with an air compressor. You can buy a special fitting to do the blow out method. They sell them at camping world and Amazon. You will still need to put RV safe antifreeze down the drain.
I had bad skin, digestive issues, phlegm and other awful medical issues for many years, that all cleared up about six months after giving up meat, eggs and all dairy products. I do eat chicken and sea food once in awhile. I am 55 and feel like I'm aging backwards. Lol I do hope you feel better soon.

I’m watching real time, so I just wanted to post this. The bigger jugs of water can be found at the front of the store near the ice. They also have a machine in the front that fills the water jugs for like .34 cents.
Suggestion for your winter gray water from toothbrushing, etc. Get an empty laundry soap jug and a funnel. Use that to spit your toothpaste into, so you don’t have to be hanging out the door when it’s super cold out. Rinse the funnel into the jug, and cap the jug between uses. Put in some dishwashing liquid and water like you did in your gray tank and it shouldn’t smell. When you need to then you can just empty it into a sink or toilet.
1. My sons girlfriend was vegan for 3-4 years and had eczema. She recently discovered that the cause was the proteins in vegan foods. She now eats chicken and fish and her skin cleared up. 👍🏻 2. I think the reason your grey tank smells is partly because you don’t empty it enough.
@@CoCo-yv3hl It's a mix of pine sol and calgon bath beads. You mix up a jug of it and keep it under your sink, then every time you empty your gray water, you dump a cup full down your sink, along with a few gallons of water. Yup really need to empty your tank more often, you don’t have to wait till it’s full, every time you empty it you must add more tank cleaner An deodorizer.your gonna make it through winter just fine.
Just fyi, vegans need to take B-12 for several reasons. You might try taking that once a day to see if that helps. I agree with the person who said to also try cutting out dairy, it causes many problems. But I’m sure you’ll do what you need to do to feel good. Good luck!
For the skin irritation, consider you've really 8ncreased spice and tomatoes. That can cause a mild skin irritation until your body adjusts. Good morning Nomadic Introvert! Praying you have a wonderful day. I have those same pj's. So very sorry to hear you are experiencing those symptoms, however I think what you are experiencing is you body detoxing and going through the reset process. Remember when you stop eating meat your body will require supplements to replace the protein and minerals you would normally get from meats. Plus consumption of red meats stay in your gut for a long time before you completely digest it.
You will never stop learning. I looked at the little electric heaters at wallmart today. They are $23. What you can save on propane will really make it worth it. You van have heat all the time with campground electric.
I have a tiny heater at my office desk. It is only about 5" x 8" but brings me so much comfort. It blankets my body with just enough warmth, especially in a small space. Also, if it is bumped at all, it cuts itself off. So quite safe in that regard.

I'm sure you've considered moving South for the Winter. Do you need to stay in Michigan? Cold climates can be tough on the body & the spirit. The beauty of living in an RV is that it has wheels. Peace,
Hey.. I sent a comment earlier .. but I wanted to tell you that I use paper plates ALL THE TIME!🙂 … in fact, I use the same ones that you do with the same patterns👏🏽👏🏽 .. 👍🏾
Hey hey pretty lady sending love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹...two seasons on this side so I enjoy watching you prep for the winter, looking forward to many more videos..Be safe and stay warm, dont go getting the flu there now
I get so excited when I see a new video posted so I think I'm addicted 😂. Love your videos I'm glad to be apart of your journey praying for safe travels 🤗🥰
Since you like stews/soups..i pulled out the crock pot and 💜 it😂 easy set it leave no mess and great meals. U can buy a small one person crock pot as well. Blessing to you on your journey
I have started using tomato paste in a tube. It is way more convenient and you don’t end up with leftovers. The only thing is make sure you store it lid up or the oil will leak out.
Hi ,In order to stay warm get some tights to go under your pajamas also for your sink get some baking soda and vinegar to pour in your sink for freshness God Bless you and we are keeping you in our prayers🙏🙏🙏❤❤❤❤
Chicken breast and also turkey breast you can buy grass-fed beef at the grocery store. We're at a health food store well I have to eat beef because of something happened to my liver when I was pregnant. I have four eat red meat for iron
Hi I stay in a hotel 2 days a month I use this for a change of pace and to prep my food in portion sizes. Before I leave my food is frozen using hotel power. I also chop veggies especially onions to cook later I also keep a tight container with fresh onion and peppers. I make soup and freeze it the last time I sliced potatoes and had some good old fashioned home fries with onions what was left over I ate on the road later. I season my meat when i prep it this also gets rid of the packaging before I start on the road again. Ihave been saving the directions to things in a zip lock bag which saves space. I also cut up my beef myself because they charge more for the convenience of having it cut into cubes. I get large packages of my favorite beef or turkey sausages and break them down into portions. When I go inti a hotel I load all of my things on a dolley and take to my room everything that needs to be charged I do it in the hotel room even my portable solar panels, Jackerys and power banks this saves my things to use on the road. I love Ice so any remaining space in the freezer I use by filling zip lock bags of ice from the hotel. I also put some in the fridge it helps to keep things cold but really the ice is for me to eat. I also freeze bottles of water. I keep some in front for cold water to drink in a small cooler they last for days. Whats left go in the fridge or freezer they are 16oz and 8oz bottles. Thats how I make my hotel stay a plus. In bad weather I have also used a campground with hookups or gone to a hotel especially in very hot weather.
I would hang the shovel on the back of the bathroom cabinet. If you hang it from the door it will whack against the cabinet every time you close the door.
Love you videos and your journey with van life. I have recently moved to Michigan and the winter is already starting lol. In the past I would go across country with my fiance on his truck and we used thermal or insulated window covering to keep the cold out and the heat in. Life savers. Now I have thermal curtains which are also black out and they have saved so much with the heating.
I'm glad you decided,on your own, to add some meat to your diet. Protein and collagen is absolutely important for your skin, hair and nails...There's no getting around it...just don't decrease the veggies.
Nomadic Introvert, I love your channel and I am living through you so wish I was able to do something similar older now with some health concerns, but I am so glad you have more content I look forward to each new episode
Just a word of caution- each gallon of water weighs 8 pounds. A 7 gallon container will weigh 56 pounds. That’s a lot to be dealing with and hauling around. It might also be too heavy to set on your pull-out counter/cutting board. I’d suggest you don’t fill it up all the way each time- hope it all works out well for you. Take care - I love to watch your videos.
Make sure the shop guy let's you watch winterizing. Your van should be easy. In the winter I use my black tank when needed and wash it down with a bit of camper antifreeze.
I never tried sweet potatoes in a soup/stew before I should try it oh if you make it again try adding some ranch seasoning to it I put it in my stew and it tastes really good with it
Hello- dairy products ( save fermented things like yogurt) are also often linked to skin rashes & psoriasis which isn't weird when u consider milk is for baby animals.
just had a surgery and am on a liquid diet, but i am really enjoying food vicariously with you. feeling full and satisfied from watching you enjoy. thanks for sharing.
Wouldn't you know it, you try to make a healthier choice and your body works against you in some way!!! Vinegar, the best multi purpose product out there and so affordable! It's incredible how much money you can waste on useless product's. I am glad you have viewers with a wealth of experience to help you out! I have seen many vanlifers and carlifers use the round water bottles and buy a pump (manual or electric) to access the water without tipping the bottle. I mention this bottle because it fits into smaller spaces. I liked one viewers comments that said to use the larger container as a grey water tank. Take care and stay safe. Carol
That stew looks great. I love sweet potatoes, i like to saute onion, sweet potato, and apples together as a side dish for roasted chicken or beef. The apple gives it a sweetness, then I just add whatever spices I have on hand, garlic, salt, pepper, adobo Sazon, curry powder etc.
Don’t forget to get a thermal curtain of some kind to place between the front cab area, and the rest of the van. It will help insulate the interior against the coming cold nights.
Hey there NI. A couple of thoughts/info: In the late 1970s, I bought a used small travel trailer. Campground fees for water, sewer, electric, and cable TV (No internet then) were$50.00/month. I t was a cheap life style as I was getting ready for medical school. My area had record breaking low temps the first winter. Propane valve frozen shut a couple of nights. I used an electric blanket. I went to local hospital and slept in a waiting room. Water and sewer never froze. Sleeping in cold temperatures will interrupt sleep cycle and keep you freaking exhausted. Get the van temperature up to 60ish at night or you will have interrupted non-restorative sleep. It is not good for you body to fight freezing temperatures. 1 other point: brown skinned women (and Appalachian women) are more prone to low Vitamin D-be sure you are getting 2000 iU/day in months when your body is mostly covered. The tip of your nose is the only thing exposed to the elements. Vit D is A great energy boost. Keep having fun! Hope this helps.
Nice video and very informative, its a nice community you've got here and we support and learn from each other; I really appreciate what your channel brings out in us. I thoroughly enjoy your videos and what you're trying to accomplish. One word of caution on the B12. It is an energy vitamin and can affect some people as a form of speed. That may be why you weren't able to sleep. Not everybody is affected this way but it definitely affects me that way so I thought I'd pass it on.
Happy to have a new video from you. We got 3" of snow yesterday & I thought of you often & prayed that you are fine & comfortable. Even though I live in a house I have learned from the comments & am grateful to all that people post. I can't be a vegetarian, tried it for awhile when my 49 year daughter was 9 & asked to become a vegetarian. She still is. I support everyone having.a choice. And even though I can't do it full time I will always use the taco mixture as it's so good. Stay safe, warm & you are so loved by this group. Thanks for sharing with us.
I was at Kroger today and I saw these rice substitute packets they’re made out of different beans and lentils I haven’t tried them but they look interesting. In a brown packaging by the rice.
when we go camping for our washing the dishes, we use a big bowl boil the water up put it in the bowl and add cold water and your dishing soap and when we finish with the water, we Thow it out on to the ground it's just your dish water nothing else.
I didn't eat meat for the first 27 years of my life. When i finally tried it, i tried bison first and felt full for i think the very first time lol. Honestly, i got sick if i ate too much meat for about a year on and off, but the health benefits and the way i felt full was totally worth it. Im not skinny anymore but i feel healthier than ever.
That looks amazing! Next time you use any kind of broth, give it a vigorous shake before pouring. The sediment settles and that's the good stuff. 👍🏼 You're awesome! Your videos really help with my anxiety! 💜
The stew you made looks soooooo good, I’m going to try it myself. You are doing an excellent job for someone who’s only been into Van life for 6 months. I would have never thought. Love spending time with you looking forward to the next time. God Bless and please stay safe. ❤

Hi when thinking about saving space, I've started using beef and chicken bullion instead of the liquid. It doesn't need to be refrigerated and just 1 tsp in a cup of water gives you 1 cup of broth.
First, love the inclusion...'Fam'. Those fall leaves there are beautiful. It's great to see how you're transitioning to winter living. Completely get having to go back to eating meat. Make sure you ease back into it; especially after your body has gotten used to not having it. I hear it's an adjustment. Recipe looked delicious.
That would be good the meatballs on the sub bread that you bought and make meatball soup with some cheese melted on it
Hey hey pretty lady sending love from Trinidad and Tobago 🇹🇹🇹🇹...two seasons on this side so I enjoy watching you prep for the winter, looking forward to many more videos..Be safe and stay warm, dont go getting the flu there now
I only started watching her about a week ago and now I'm hooked. Nice to see a fellow Trini here.
I get so excited when I see a new video posted so I think I'm addicted 😂. Love your videos I'm glad to be apart of your journey praying for safe travels 🤗🥰
I am for sure❤
Oh ma gawd girl 🤦♀️. the amount of Cayenne pepper you put on that is freeking scarey LOL.
Since you like stews/soups..i pulled out the crock pot and 💜 it😂 easy set it leave no mess and great meals. U can buy a small one person crock pot as well. Blessing to you on your journey
Thank you for showing each step in your cooking. They always look great.
You can also try pine sol and baking soda for any smells or bugs!
I have started using tomato paste in a tube. It is way more convenient and you don’t end up with leftovers. The only thing is make sure you store it lid up or the oil will leak out.
I too have moved to tubal tomato paste for same reason.
I was looking at you on TH-cam so I put you on my cell phone so I can give you a comment may God continue to bless you and keep you safe❤
Hi
I stay in a hotel 2 days a month I use this for a change of pace and to prep my food in portion sizes.
Happy Friday!!
Have a wonderful and blessed weekend. We've been looking forward to a new video 🙂
Yes, I also thought it would be too heavy for the cutting board when water was added.
Make sure the shop guy let's you watch winterizing. Your van should be easy. In the winter I use my black tank when needed and wash it down with a bit of camper antifreeze.
Beef stew with stovetop-baked rolls is the ultimate winter comfort dinner, smells amazing, too. 😋
I love you for your personality not what you eat…..i think in all part of our Life the goal it’s balance
Carol
Good day I clicked on the video so fast 😊!! Love the videos, be safe and stay warm.
You too, are loved and valued. I will be making that stew, thanks for sharing. Love from California.
You’re great for advertising products…15:16…your face was so happy about how fresh the smell was!!!!
Your stew looked SO good... I love meatballs and also sweet potatoes... yum
That breakfast looked amazing so glad you enjoyed your time at the Marriott. Love, prayers and be safe see you in the next video.
Still catching up on your videos Naomi I go backwards once in a while ha ha ha I noticed you hit another thousand keep going girl❤🎉😎☮️🌞✌️☀️
Oh yr here in my home state ❤❤❤. Girl I’m praying for you. Plz get a below zero sleeping bag!!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Suggestion for cleaning your sink - pour baking soda in your drain and then chase with vinegar. Leaves sink smelling good! Cheap cleaning supplies. 🙂
Don’t forget to get a thermal curtain of some kind to place between the front cab area, and the rest of the van. It will help insulate the interior against the coming cold nights.
I have never been so entertained by something so simple in my life ❤
Hey there NI. A couple of thoughts/info:
In the late 1970s, I bought a used small travel trailer.
Great and Blessed Friday Suga. It's good chatting and Traveling with ya.
Nice video and very informative, its a nice community you've got here and we support and learn from each other; I really appreciate what your channel brings out in us. I like how you show us where your going and on the road, it makes me feel like I'm in the passenger seat and I like too see what the area your in looks like, its cool. TFS, looking forward to the next one, Safe travels. 🥰🙏🌟👍
I think you’re just hungry because everything you cook 👩🍳 is just so darn good to you!😂
Happy to have a new video from you.
Nomad, I’m not sure if you will like this idea, but they make tomato paste in tubes now to make less waste and easier storage.
I was at Kroger today and I saw these rice substitute packets they’re made out of different beans and lentils I haven’t tried them but they look interesting. In a brown packaging by the rice.
You were literally at 68k plus yesterday! Look at those numbers!!!
when we go camping for our washing the dishes, we use a big bowl boil the water up put it in the bowl and add cold water and your dishing soap and when we finish with the water, we Thow it out on to the ground it's just your dish water nothing else.
That's the same idea I had in mind!!!
I'm stuck at home so I really enjoy going shopping with you . Big thanks.
The stew you made looks soooooo good, I’m going to try it myself. You are doing an excellent job for someone who’s only been into Van life for 6 months. I would have never thought. Love spending time with you looking forward to the next time. God Bless and please stay safe. ❤
I always enjoy watching your videos. Thanks for sharing your life and food with us. As always it's your sense of humor and vibe for me🤗 Keep going you got this🥰❣️🤞
I always enjoy and look forward to your videos. I'm always learning so much. Oh, and that meatball stew looks amazing and a great comfort food for the cold weather season.
Dinner looked so delicious!! Stay safe 🙏🙏🙏
P.S I'm glad you're putting meat chicken back in your diet. Tofu is okay once in a while. I don't think it's good for you to eat too much of it. ❤️
I was trying to think what to swap out the meat with so that I can try it. Maybe seitan.
Enjoy your weekend!
