The introductory speaker says that Ken Robinson doesn't need an introduction and then takes over 3 minutes to introduce him! Sir Ken starts at 3.10 and as always is very inspiring.

Thanks Ken Robinson. That was great. Just a shame that Matthew Taylor wasn't so enabling.

A great talk he really has some inspiring ideas. but i think his ideas may fall on deaf ears. government like governing things its almost tautological. it is still a great talk and i admire him!

It's stupid when they take more than one question at one, the same amount of time will be taken up by having the questions and answers said, so why the hell would you load up three Q's at once and make it so no one can remember what they were exactly?
    That gets my goat.

There is. Thanks to the internet you can type in anything and include transcript. This should give you several results.

I really admire Ken and agree with so much of his perspective but there are a few things in here i would like to challenge:
People dont just bother not to vote! I strongly argue that there are a sizable group of people who positively choose not to! Personally i no longer vote because i dont wish to collude with a dis empowering, perverted system which does not offer any real choice. I would rather do what ken talked about at the start , just get on and do it because the political system is so short term focused , i would also add it is geared to that, oh so harmful, economic system ! (see below)..... the point that people fought for "my right" to vote i would also challenge as i feel there is a difference between rights and expressing a preference.
Kodak didn't go under just because it didn't have its head up, in fact it could be said it became to diverse as it invested in financial "products" which were unsound . Also it didnt care it went down because there was now negative consequence to those responsible , this is partly due to the fact we live in a corporatocracy not a democracy .
This brings me on to culture , yes, i agree greatly that the arts etc should be taught with much more emphasis , in part, to connect into local culture BUT , the biggest threat to that culture , i suggest, is the economic system which now dominates ie globalisation which clearly only benefits a few , who appear to have strong psychopathic traits.
